I bought a cheap guitar by Martin Smith from charity shop that sounded terrible when I got it home and tuned it like constant palm muting. So I bought these Eric Clapton strings and though the guitar still sounds like I am palm muting when I am not it nonetheless does make a lighter and prettier sound. Though I was expecting these strings to be lot lighter than they are to play they are cool after short while of playing them especially when settled in a bit. I hate heavy strings that are too hard to play like heavy guage bronze strings. These Clapton stings are much lighter and easier to play. And most importantly sounds great ideal for professional or beginners guitarists also singer

good strings - suit my D18A quite well (instead of usual D'dArrio's EJ17) been on for a few weeks now and are slightly less bright are sounding good! It's a resonant guitar needs to be driven fairly hard and these are Ok for that.

Not as light as I expected. Seems to go out of tune overnight but after a month of avg use I like the sound. It is now stable and stays in tune longer. Maybe cos it's warmer now?26 May 2020 update.I Love the sound!!!

I've been using these for as long as I can remember...started in 1954 with Black Diamond (also used as ships hawsers back then) These are a world away.

I am really impressed at the sound and tone of these strings. They are a great buy and will make your playing sound even more pure. Highly recommended!

Expected to have to tune these constantly for a few days till they bedded in. Only had to re-tune once and they held their notes perfectly. great buy!

Really brilliant strings, so enjoyable to play! I have a Martin drednought, and they give it a nice thick fresh sound. Definitely a good buy

Great strings make such a difference to the sound and playability of my guitar!I don't usually break many strings but glad I bought 2 sets!

Great sound from these strings. There are much cheaper on the market but I didn't mind paying the bit extra for the quality

very good value,unfortunately you get a picture of Clapton on packet!, but strings stay bright for a good time

The only problem is that basses lack that brilliance and sound a bit flat (or blunt), not as I remember them.
