Absolutely love this coat! It is by far the warmest coat I have ever owned. It has lots of pocket storage and a lovely big hood. The sizing on these coats is quite small based on mine. I'm 5ft 4 and usually wear a size 12 on my top half and 14 on my lower half due to my large hips. I have had issues with previous coats ripping around the hips because of this! I bought the XL size which fits perfectly. I was concerned that it would be too big around the top but isn't too bad. When the coat is fully done up, it can look a bit sack-like but I opted to wear a wide elasticated black waist belt with mine to make it more form fitting.

I have historically been a great fan of NorthFace long line jackets/coats. But they have become so expensive.l As my last North Face coat was looking to be replaced I sought a less expensive alternative. I did a great amount of research and finally settled on this Marmot long line jacket. I am absolutely delighted. It is just as warm and cosy as the North Face jacket, vedry similar features.I am a true size 14 and the large size fits me perfectly. I like the fact that the fur trim is detatchable. I also like the warm fleece inner on the top half of the jacket.The jacket labels refer to a 'down filling' - I have no means of knowing if this is duck or goose. Either way,

I am in love with this coat. I am continually amazed at how very well made and finished it is. Beautiful colour (Claret). 4 concealed pockets. I am a 14 and large is a perfect fit. I immediately removed the "fur" trim and now the hood. It is a mild winter so far so sometimes the coat is a little warm but on cold days I am very cozy. Not only is it down but has a fleece half lining. Anyone with short arms may find the sleeves long. I have long arms and I turn them up a little. I hesitated buying a coat on mail order but this has been a great buy and deliverd right on the day forecast.

Really impressed so far. I’m really short. 152cm/5ft and curvy. It was hard to find a coat that didn’t make me look really overweight and these styles of coats aren’t the most flattering but compared to a well known brand for winter wear with coats priced around £400 that made me feel fat and frumpy this is a winner!I’ve moved to a colder place to live so needed a warm outer layer. Although I’ve not experienced snow as yet I’m toasty & warm on the beach wearing this and it’s not too heavy or cumbersome.Will update once the snow hits my part of the world!I’d recommend!

Item was exsctly as described. Shipping was quick, exept from one thing; there was no invoice following Constantly the shipment. This caused the parcel two get stuck in customs. Luckily I found out trough the tracking system so I could send the documents two Posten In Norway my self. (Documents was attached to the order confirmation I received by e-mail). The next day the parcel was released from customs and late to my home. If I had not Noticed this glitch my self I don't know how long it would have taken for the item two arrive.

I really love this coat and feel it was worth the investment. I had a hip-length, non-hooded down Marmot jacket years ago I remember being really warm, so I thought I would give this coat a try. I'm very pleased. It is very very warm, has great detailing with softness near the collar and in the sleeves, and the fur hood is of good quality. I'm quite petite (5'3 49 kilos) and most coats overwhelm my frame, but this is one is flattering as far as down coats go- nice sleek cut. Feel great wearing it around London.

I purchase the Steel Onyx in a Small. It's a lovely coat - excellent quality - lightwight but feels snug. Unfortunately the coat is not only too big for me (I'm a size 6-8 and 5'6") but the actual colour was very much a matt light grey, although the photo shows it as being more silver in colour (shame as I fancied a silver coat!). The Marmot Montreal is a great coat however, and so I plan to order an XSmall in black.

I love this jacket - I think the description for the ad is exactly what it is in real life. It’s comfortable to wear because it’s light. But more importantly it is so warm. The hood is also really functional as it doesn’t cover the face up to a point where you can’t see anything. Plus you can tighten it as well so it protects your ears from the cold! Think this will be my staple from now on!

I needed a very warm coat for cold days looking after my grandchildren and I couldn't be more delighted. I can wear it with only a Tshirt underneath and I still can't fill the cold. And it is a very smart coat. NOTE - Be careful with the size you order as I think it is not the roomiest of coats - I took the advice given in the reviews and ordered a Medium when usually I would order Small.

The sizing is not very generous. I had to order a large although I am a size 12 normally. Having said that it is a beautifully warm coat. I wish it were longer though then I would feel more snuggled up. It is so bunny soft when you touch the inside of the coat and very light to wear unlike a lot of bulky coats I have had in the past. Overall, very happy with the coat indeed.

I paid a little extra to rush my order but thought it still might not make it for Christmas with the season so busy. It came in a couple days!! The service was quick the product was exceptional! I absolutely love my new coat, we have had bad weather in Oklahoma this past week and it has kept me super warm! I would buy this product form this company again!

I am delighted with the Montreal coat.I saw it, or a similar one, on the tv show Fortitude and thought how stylish it looked.I was right...... at least one good thing came out of the time I wasted watching the programme!I am 5' 7" tall and, usually, a size 8, and weight 8 stone. The coat fitted beautifully.The fur hood trim is nice too.

The coat is excellent. It fits well and is lovely and warm. The coat is very well made. There are elasticated inner cuffs which is clever, as these stop draughts. It is lightweight but very warm. The hood is big, as other reviewers say, but I think it’s OK.This isn’t a cheap coat but it’s quality...you get what you pay for!

I bought my Montreal down jacket a few winters ago , love it and wear it daily. Then I bought another one for my teenage daughter for xmass amthis year and she just loves it. Warm, stylish and perfect length and I live there’s a zip up and down so when you go to and fro in car it’s not an issue. Very happy with my purchase !

I also have this in a cream both fab coats highly recommend them. Length keeps your legs warm sleeves let no cold through and if you take the fur off the hood it looks fantastic and does not flop on your face. Brilliant buy.You can wash them then tumble dry to fill them out and puff them out. Wish I had more.
