- Says it's supposed to be inseam 32 but I'm getting 30.5- Zipper at cuff goes 8" up and the spread is 3" at the bottom tapering up- Right outside leg pocket, zippered, can't get my whole hand in but the pocket is bigger inside.- Vertical front pockets, plenty deep- 5 belt loops- Front closure is single snap and zipper- Water repellent and breathable- All pocket zippers are the water repellent typeI've never heard the term "scree" before, so I tried looking it up and all I got were Marmot products, so perhaps it's just something they use. It feels like lighter weight ski gear. Maybe not enough to ski in but would work for other winter activities that don't involve strong winds. The one problem I had is that the Vine-side info says 32" inseam. While I don't see it specifically mentioned in this now-public listing info, they do have a size chart in one of the pix and it says size 8 should be at least 32" inseam. It ain't.Still, my winter boots are tall so it's not a huge deal for me so I'm only taking 1 star off for misinformation. They're not tight, but they aren't going to allow for more than long johns, as far as layering.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Simply, wow. These are fantastic pants and literally the only thing I don't love is that they're black (so won't show ticks)---but that's something you can choose. (I would've opted for the gray if given a choice.) Everything else is basically my dream outdoor pants. I'm 5'4", 135 lbs, 29" waist, and usually wear 6 or 8 in pants. The 8 in these is such a great fit it's like it was tailored just for me. They are more comfortable than yoga pants (really) and lightweight but still water resistant. They are tough enough to handle brush and other snagging stuff. They are not warm, so they are more for warmer weather. They keep your legs protected but not hot. The fit is close and flattering, and the length is excellent for me. They have amazing movement ability, honestly as good as any yoga/stretch pant. You could definitely go rock climbing in these. There's just a total tough flexibility about these, that makes them perfect for hiking. They also look fairly inconspicuous if you want to wear them as streetwear, although there is a big Marmot logo on the thigh which looks a little out of place on a city street. Honestly I love these so much and even though the price tag is steep, I actually do think this is worth it. Hands down these are the best hiking pants I've ever seen.

I'm already a big fan of Marmot. We own several items of their clothing, mostly winter outerwear. While I think this is my first "daywear" item, based on this experience it won't be my last. These slacks are sold as outdoor clothing, suitable for a hike or camping. Certainly they fill that role admirably. As the company promises, they're water repellent and breathable. They stretch incredibly well, with reinforcements at all the right places. In other words, they were superbly comfortable sitting on a hillside while watching a baseball game, and I would not hesitate to don them for a frolic in the woods. However, you wouldn't know that these are supposed to be "camping pants." They look good! And I mean, they look _really_ good. While I wouldn't choose them for dress-up purposes, I easily could wear these slacks in a work environment. Plus the stretchiness makes them so comfortable that these pants will be the first item I pack for a long trip. Particularly so since they wash-and-wear quite well.My only note is that the 32" inseam means they're a little long for 5'2" me. But I did know that going in, so it's certainly not Marmot's problem.

Wonderful pants for outdoor adventures. Our family likes hiking, walk on the trails in the woods, climb mountains etc. The last few weekends I wore these pants to our outdoor trips and the pant were a really great asset. I’m 5’5 and 145 lbs and the size 8 fits me great, and the pant are actually flattering even though personally it is not the most important aspect for me when hiking or when engaging in other activity of this nature. The length is just right and the waist and hips fit nicely, no belt needed for me. They are comfy and durable. The material is extremely stretchy, the pockets are in a nice size that could easily fit my phone. The material is also water resistance, with my little kids I had these pant get wet with milk, Juice etc. and with a quick wipe there is no trace of any liquid that spilled on them.Great, functional pants.

I received these pants specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be wholly honest in all my reviews. These pants are fantastic. From the comfortable stretch to the attention to detail, these are a keeper! With 10% elastane, there is give both horizontally and vertically (there is slightly more stretch in an up and down direction). The material is high-quality and all the zippers (I love them!) work well. The zippers on the upper pockets and the thigh pocket have protective endcaps. The zippers on the legs open in a triangle to give another couple of inches to the width of the cuff. The snap closure at the waist is sturdy and not likely to pop open. Practicality aside, these look really cute on.These are fun, stylish, and oh-so-comfortable! I love them!

These are great soft-shell pants for hiking or winter sports. They are very streamlined with just a couple zip pockets. Great for alpine or climbing adventures. For hiking we wish it had a few more pockets--more of a looser fit too--more like cargo pants. That being said these are well breathing pants with a dwr coating and they dry fast and move in great stretchy ways. Great for mixed conditions and high exertion activities. The length was a little longer but they otherwise fit good, again with plenty of stretch. Note these are waterproof, just a dwr which worked fine against light sprinkles, or light powder. Also when used for skiing we had to put a pair of silk thermals under it...mostly for the ski lifts, but these are a little on the thinner side.

These are okay fitting pants. They have the ability to be straight legged by unzipping the bottom of the leg opening or you can keep them zipper for a slightly more tapered look. I didn’t see too much of a difference because they were a bit long for me so they bunched up at my ankle and looked straight leg no matter what. Normally I wear a size 6, the 8 here was a bit large, especially in the hip and thigh area. If you’re pear shaped, you should have plenty of room to move around. The fabric felt great, lightweight and moisture wicking. There are quite a few pockets on the pants, including a zippered one on a side leg. These should be good for any kind of outdoor activity.

U.S. sizes so take this into consideration....I love these trousers, high waisted...neat fitting thru hips and a good length..zips at ankles open to fit over walking boots. I'm 5'7" leg 32" and these were perfect( regular). I have bought these trousers in the past four years and they still look like new...no snagging or elastane coming thru like others and they hold they're shape. Wash inside out and fold neatly when dry ...ready to go. They are waterproof to a degree but they do dry very quickly ....I live in the highlands of Scotland and they are put thru the mill so are very robust. I will be buying more to keep in case they stop making them!!!!

Water repellent pants perfect for outdoor activities. Have deep pockets with zipper closures on each side. Zippers are well made and secure the pockets up tightly and nicely. Has another pocket on the pants in a convenient easy access location, which also zippers shut nicely. Has small logo on them. Pants look durable and well-made, also are comfortable. Looks like they'll hold up well outdoors and through different types wear and tare, weather and environments. They have a zipper and a snap button closure at the top. Good for outdoor adventures.

These are great pants for all kinds of adventures and raining days! All zippered pockets and bottom legs, total 6 zippers on these pants. including the waist zipper. Regardless of the deep pockets on the sides, the pants are still very feminine and define a good-looking silhouette. There are 5 loops, 1 " wide, 3 in the back & 2 at the front, those loops seem surprisingly wide, but they complement well the waist line. The fabric is super stretchy and lightweight and the craftsmanship is outstanding.

Omg words can not describe gown much I love these pants! I tried them on as soon as I got them in the mail and basically have not taken them off since. It’s my first pair of pants from this brand and I’m happy to say it won’t be my last. They are so flattering and so comfortable - the fabric is soft and sweet wicking & just overall amazing.I cannot wait to go hiking with these!I’m 5’5”, 173 lbs, muscular build & the size 8 for like a glove!

great pants! definately a size down from regular dress pants. ordered an 8, fit great over a tight pair of leggings ( I wanted to be able to layer ) I wear a 4-6 in most womens dress pants, 27-28 in jeans. Bigger in seat/thigh which you need in active wear for movement. Not the longest, regulars just fit me and I'm only 5'4". Overall, I'm very happy and excited to wear as winter pants on sleigh rides and hikes in the pines. Thanks Amazon!

Super comfy, super stretchy hiking pants. They feel practically like wearing leggings, with a smidgeon stiffer waistband. They're a bit on the smaller side, so size up if you prefer loser pants when hiking. They're lightweight, so better suited for the spring, summer and early fall (again, since they're bit tight, you won't be able to wear a second layer underneath unless you size up). Nice construction all around.

Marmot is a great brand. These pants don't disappoint. They are well made and constructed from high end material. The pants are comfortable and have multiple pockets. You can still wear a base layer under these pants which is nice. You cannot use these for skiing or snowboarding but you can wear them around the slopes or if you are just going tubing somewhere. I highly recommend these pants. They are beautiful!!

OK, these are great pants. I am not going to fault the pants for my height. Most pants don't fit me well, l am short. At least I was able to hem these, it will be above the zipper in the leg, so they will still be able to be warn. I really like the texture and feel of these pants. very comfy. They are made very well and look great on. Great color.
