This is a purse while polish. Usually any pastel/ white polish is really difficult to apply due to the fact that it can be very streaky. I have tried this on a completely bare nail and it goes on really well and looks nice and solid after two coats. I think it will look even better if I use it with a base coat but I think trying it without gives a good indication of how good it will be. I am impressed with the coverage considering I didn't bother with a base coat.Personally, I would probably use this more to do a French manicure but actually can wear it all over the nail without any streaks or that 'tippex' look. The brush is rounded at the end which makes application easy. The bottle is textured llike little stacked blocks - this makes the bottle easy to hold as it stops it slipping which rounded bottles tend to do. Also the wand inside is stepped too which seems to ensure a lot of polish on your brush.

First impressions were very good. The bottle is very attractive and unlike any other I've seen with a textured square-grid design which is easy to grip and not drop. Once opened, I was also impressed with the brush which is much flatter than most and slightly rounded at the edges which makes it really easy to spread and apply the polish in the minimum of strokes. The polish itself is well-pigmented as claimed and a very strong white colour, however although it doesn't look particularly thin, I found it was quick to run down the brush (?) so take care not to load too much on the brush.Don't expect to get away with just one coat. The first coat was really streaky looking.Second coat was much better and potentially adequate, but the third coat gave the finish I was after.Looked great against my caramel brown skin, but might look a bit odd against a paler skin tone.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle was the shape of the brush. It is paddle shaped and wide, rather than the thin cylindrical shape of most nail varnishes. More colour goes on and quicker with this brush and it still goes into the corners and edges really well. The varnish itself I wasn't so happy with. I tried it twice thinking I had maybe overloaded the brush the first time but I couldn't get it to go on evenly without it looking like a bad gloss paint job. Then my teenage daughter (who wears nail varnish often) tried but she had the same result which was disappointing. Maybe it would be better used on just the nail tips as a French manicure or with a base coat and just a very thin layer on top.Otherwise, it doesn't have a strong acetone smell, leaves your nail smooth and shiny when removed and the colour is very intense.

From the picture I was expecting a pearly white, rather than a solid white - but the solid is quite funky and suitably intense. Two lovely things about this product - the shape of the brush is fantastic - wide, flat and carries plenty of varnish - makes it very easy to apply. The second is the perfume - once dried there is almost a parma violets aroma, and there isn't a strong varnish smell at all. I'm not the best at applying nail colour, so didn't get it quite even enough on every nail with two coats first go - 8/10 were good, so maybe next time I'll use a basecoat to improve things. It'll be interesting to see how hard-wearing it is and whether a top coat is necessary.

Despite L'oreals advertising claim, this IS a nail polish. That's no bad thing, though. This 'white of the moon' is an interesting colour to try, a white that matches the surround of my wife's iPad, as we amusingly found out after she had applied it. It's not a bad colour at all, in fact, and was applied easily to a solid colour after 2 coats without any streaking. That's partially thanks to the brush, which looks a little flatter than normal and makes applying the polish an easy task. The bottle has a nice intricate design and gold lid to make it seem rather fetching and possibly more expensive. It might be just cosmetic (no pun intended), but it's a nice touch.

I really liked this nail polish. I've been looking for a nice, white polish for ages that isn't too expensive. I normally use OPI Alpine Snow but it's so expensive that if I'm using it regularly, or for nail art, it can get quite pricey so I was quite excited to try this one.Firstly, I really loved the brush. It's flat and wide so makes nice even strokes across the nails. The polish itself is quite thick but still easy to use. It's not a one-coater but is opaque in two, which I actually prefer. It dries quite quickly and is fairly long lasting.I'm really happy with this polish and I think this might become my new, cheaper, go to white.

A a really nicely designed bottle in a cut-glass effect with a gold cap, which makes the product look a lot more expensive than it actually is.It's a really bold colour, a proper, newly-painted front door gloss white, which would probably work best with darker skin than mine, although I imagine it would also be useful used in a French manicure or by creative nail artists. As it's a light colour, it takes several coats to get a deep glossy effect, and I probably should have done a base coat, too.A stylish and bold nail varnish.

This is a bold white and so important that it doesn't look too thick or streaky. I love the design of the brush - it's a flat brush that is slightly wider than usual - it is really good in ensuring that you apply this smoothly and easily. This would look great in the Summer, as a base colour, or making a design. I wore it for a few days and it lasted well with no chipping. The bottle is beautiful and classy looking.Overall I think this is a lovely white that lasts well and doesn't cost a fortune. Recommended.

This product certainly gives every impression of high-quality, from the stylised container to the stubby, high capacity brush to the thick polish itself. On the nail, the polish provides a lovely veneer. The finish is strong without being brittle. This is a white polish so it's hard to justify the "riche color", but for a French polish, it's excellent. However, the Color Riche range is one worth considering - very good value for such a high quality item.

A bold white that goes on smoothly. What makes it special is the wide brush which carries lots of polish and is shaped to get to edges well. It contains oil which is supposed to condition nails while colouring. This is great as part of a French manicure or as a base for a dark crackle glaze (I tried it under black crackle and it works well.) I also like it on toes. And the bottle is just gorgeous!

A lovely bright white shade. Very smooth to apply and makes a perfect french manicure. A single coat was enough to get good coverage, and didn't smudge when I added a clear top coat. The wide brush is much better than small round brushes, and it doesn't leave brush strokes behind. I'm very pleased with it.

Good solid white colour, which goes on well.Quite thick to apply, and takes a little longer to dry than the thinner types of nail varnish I've used before.Would make a good base for nail art backgrounds.Quite pleased with this product, but needs time to apply and dry.

The sister in law uses lots of polish as she decorates her friends and family for fun. She has used this colour before. That is a strong, bright white. The brush is more "paddled" shape and allows a nice, steady application.

Beautiful. I was a bit wary about wearing white but this goes on really well, all you need is a couple of coats. So far it's lasted 3 days without chipping, which is pretty good for me, so I'm happy
