Although I want to say I am very impressed by this nail polish, it's probably only because I love the colour. Where a lot of deep blue polishes can look black on the nails, this one keeps a subtle hint of blue while not looking too dark. The colour I'd a gorgeous navy and I do have to say I was impressed by the coverage. I could easily get away with just the one coat as long as it wasn't too thin. The main thing that lets it down is it will start to wear away around the tips of the nails within a few hours if there is just the one coat and within 24 hours which didn't even include housework, it really needed redone. However, when combined with a second coat and/or a topcoat it did last longer. So for your money, the 13.5ml bottle will last a lot longer. Another thing that put me off but that others may love is the scent of it. It has a very distinct Parma Violet smell which I hate but thankfully it does wear off a bit when washing your hands. I might consider buying another colour from the range if it was something a bit different but I wouldn't say the polish itself wowed me.

I'm slightly obsessed with nail varnish and I'm always on the look out for decent quality polishes which don't cost a fortune. If you're on the same mission, you've found one with this polish! Everything about it screams "quality" - except for the price tag.Firstly, the polish comes in a generous sized bottle, which is reassuringly chunky to hold - I love the textured surface. Secondly, the polish glides on smoothly and thickly, instantly giving excellent coverage. One coat was enough to give a deep and glossy finish. Thirdly, with top coat and base coat, it lasts well without chips and flakes, even when doing household tasks.Although the colour translates as "Royal Blue" it is more what I would call a French Navy.It reminds me of the Morris 1100 my dad drove when I was a small child, and of my scooter which was the same colour ... but it is also a classy grown up colour which is good for both every day wear and special occasions.I haven't always had good results from L'Oreal nail polishes, but this one is a winner!

This nail polish comes in a very stylish, expensive-looking bottle with a square pattern carved into the glass. It is a lovely deep blue shade. Although the name of it translates to Royal Blue, it's much darker than this implies - it appears as a rich, navy colour when on the nails, which in some lights looks almost black. It has a nice gloss to it as well. The polish is applied with a thick brush which takes a little getting used to but once you've mastered it, you can paint narrower nails in just one sweep. The polish is thick enough to provide rich colour with only one coat which is a time saver and means it will take longer to use up the bottle! My only criticism of the nail polish is thatthe staying power does not seem great; even with a base coat and a top coat it had started to chip a little at the edges by the end of the first day. Other than that though, it's very good.

I bought a handbag in the sales, and despite having many nail varnishes, including about 15 different shades of blue, I didn't have the right colour to go with it... After much googling and spending ages looking at pictures I thought this one would be worth a try - as it turns out, it is pretty much an exact match so I am very happy.Drying speed is average and after 3 days it seems to be holding up to daily wear reasonably well so far.It loses a star because the brush is terrible. You need to be careful otherwise it's really easy to end up with way too much on it, which then obviously is never going to give a good finish. When I come across a nail varnish with a really good brush,I tend to clean and keep it once that bottle is empty so I will be using one of these instead.

Got this in the mail today. It's a terrific color in a very nice bottle. Did a quick little application test - the polish was a good consistency - not too thick or thin - and went on the nails like silk. The color is also very saturated so even a single coat seemed plenty, though I'm sure nail polish fiends will want at least a double coat. One thing though - the color is a very bright deep red and not really the shade shown in the pictures (which is more of a saturated burgundy/maroon/plum). I'm keeping it because a good red polish was on my shopping list, but you may not want it if what you're really after is a burgundy shade. The price is definitely not cheap, but you do get a higher quality and more product (13.5 ml),so it should last a good long time.

Despite L'oreals advertising claim, this IS a nail polish. That's no bad thing, though. The Blu Royal colour is quite bold and certainly different to my wife's usual colour. It's quite shiny and fairly dark at first, getting lighter as it dries. The polish was applied easily to a solid colour after 2 coats without any streaking. That's partially thanks to the brush, which looks a little flatter than normal and makes applying the polish an easy task. The 14 day claim is dubious, though. It's not all that strong and can easily start to peel. The bottle has a nice intricate design and gold lid to make it seem rather fetching and possibly more expensive. It might be just cosmetic (no pun intended),but it's a nice touch.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Vernis nail varnish is a good varnish which provides great coverage for two main reasons the brush is developed in such a way it will totally cover the nail with one flick of the brush along with the rounded end allows it to cover the nail with a good layer of varnish. The colour develops into a really nice rich navy which is rich in pigment and vivid in colour.I would recommend you to use a base colour to provide protection for your nail as the deep colour could damage the nail through time. This is a great nail varnish which is sold at a great price which make this L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Vernis as a nice nail varnish which is easy to put on and looks good whenapplied.

This goes on easily and is a great colour - midnight blue indoors and in artificial light. Outdoors in full daylight it has a very, very slight purplish undertone. I dislike wearing rubber gloves so a lot of nail varnishes don't last with me. This one managed a credible 48 hours before it began coming to grief. Would last longer if more care was taken by the wearer! The colour of course makes chips very easy to notice. I find the Maybelline Superstay 7 days is one of the best ranges so far for longevity.Removal is a bit of an ordeal. It tends to linger in the crevices and you have to be very diligent getting it off or else risk looking as if you've spent the morning in a coal mine!

After reviewing another L'Oreal nail varnish last week I looked forward to this particular bottle arriving and immediately carried out a full manicure as a result. Firstly, it's a really beautiful bottle and looks much more expensive than the stated RRP. The brush is contoured and thick enough to cover most of the nail in one swoop, which is great. The formula was fairly quick to dry and the colour seemed more Prussian Blue to my husband's artistic gaze then say, Royal Blue, but I'm splitting hairs here.I'll update my review once I've been wearing it for a few more days, but my initial assessment of it, speaking as a nail polish addict is positive so far!

Really nice polish and I have it in the blue and clear colours. The blue is really very vivid and even one coat is enough to get good coverage but I prefer a couple of coats to get a nice deep colour. The stayng power isn't great though, that's the only drawback with this one. The bottle is lovely, the colours are great and it dries really quickly and leaves a glossy finish...it just would be better if it wasn't chipping after two or three days. I hate to do touch-ups on my nails so a re-do every day or so is a bit of a pain but the colour is worth it with this one.Great value for money too and I'll be getting more colours from the range.

This comes in an absolutely gorgeous bottle, and the nail polish does look far more expensive than it actually is. Reasonably priced, this polish comes in a good sized bottle, which is beautiful to look at and it is chunky too, with a contoured brush that is capable of covering your nail with one brush. This is a thick nail polish and I found one coat is more than enough to achieve a flawless and professional finish. The colour stated is very rich and is perfect for a night out. If you give a second application that is a fab effect for an evening out. A fabulous nail polish that is suitable for day and evening.

I was keen to try out this L'Oreal blue nail polish. I usually use Nails Inc which is much more expensive so it was good to compare the brands. The bottle is really nice and solid and the gold coloured lid fits well and stays closed with no leakage. The applicator brush is thicker than the ones in the Nails Inc brand, but covers the nail very well, the polish itself is a lovely, very dark blue and has a nice glossy finish.Simple to apply, I used a top coat to seal the colour. The colour did begin to wear away from my nail tips after three days, but on the whole this is a good, reasonably priced nail polish

Beautiful polish. The colour is true to the photo, a milky chai colour. For a dark medium skinned person such as myself, it's an elegant colour. The colour goes on flat on the second go around, and very shiny. The brush allows a smooth deposit of polish on the nail, although if your nails are small (mine are average) you might find the brush to be a smidge too big. I am three days into the polish and no chipping. I'm very pleased. The only dodgy thing about the polish is the smell. It is so sweet, and you would be best to use it in a well ventilated room.

First off, I really like the bottle. I like how the glass is indented into squares, it looks expensive. This polish has a wide brush which I love as it means it goes on very quickly in a couple of sweeps. This is a lovely, inky, dark navy colour and actually one coat would do it, but I always use two. It gave amazing dense coverage with two coats and looks fabulous, shiny and smart. Interestingly, this nail varnish actually smells of violets very like the lipsticks do. I like that. I recommend this... Thank you MLG for reviewing this...

This nail polish from L'Oreal Paris has a really unusual deep, dark blue tone, which has a good shine when dry, but isn't too bright, but neither is it a dull colour, rather it is a rich, deep, sophisticated colour, which gives an elegant finish, but without looking tacky or childish as some blue nail polish does. The bottle it comes in is chic and feels quite retro with the ridged squared design on the square bottle - it looks stylish in the bottle and on the nail. Very nice indeed.
