I bought this farm set for my son's 3rd birthday after much research, as it seemed to be the sturdiest and also used ethically sourced wood. I have to say we haven't been disappointed - it took my husband (the slowest person I know!) half an hour to put together, looks fantastic and my son loves it.The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the fencing doesn't fix to the board, which means it gets thrown around and lost too easily (maybe this wouldn't happen with girls!). I've finally glued and screwed it to the board, which is much better.Overall though this farm is fab.

It is exactly what I expected: detailed, well constructed wooden farm, perfect for Schleich farm animals.My only 2 comments:-the colors are a bit "dull", I would prefer brighter, "primary" colours-there are some parts and pieces that are not strictly "fixed" or "attached" in place, but just stay in place by some sort of "balance": I can see my kids easily taking it all apart e.g. while placing the animals inside, and then getting frustrated by not being able to put all floors and roofs together again for the finished buildings, since they easily slide away.

A super farm and great fun putting it together. However one review I read was talking about how the posts screw in through the relatively thin board, and once pulled through the structure is compromised. I agree.My little girl is 2, and pulls on the posts, but it has stayed intact so far. She also pulls the roof off at the wrong angle, and has damaged the locating lugs.Recommended? Yes - but not for under 3's, unless you are prepared to accept irreparable damage - something I wasn't for an item so expensive.

I bought this for my 3 year old son for his birthday and he loves it. It's fantastic value for money and very well made. It is fairly simple to put together and once constructed provides hours of fun! My only advice would be to buy larger farm animals than the ones suggested. They are far too small for the farm although my son isn't too bothered. The animals that the early learning centre sell are a better size for the farmyard, although they are quite pricey. Over all the farmyard is brilliant!!

I bought this for my 3 yr old twin boys who imediately took it apart. It is made up by screwing posts onto a board then the walls slot into the groves. When they had taken the walls out they pulled two of the posts straight through the board.They are 4 now and tend to leave it together and really love it. The only problem now is that the damaged post area means the floors that sit in slots in the walls tend to fall down as the post is wobbly. The boys still love it

This is a lovely farm which is easily assembled after some basic construction work. It is bright and beautiful, great fun for the children. It actually takes up quite a bit of space and although the sides and roofs come off easily, the downposts do not, therefore you need to have the space to store it constructed. I think it is great value for money. My daughters play with it for hours and it doubles up beautifully as a car park and garage for their cars.

Absolutely fantastic toy for the grandchildren. Beautifully made, sturdy & colourful.Arrived well packaged & every individual piece shown on a diagram. I shall have as much fun playing with it as will they.Everything is as shown in the constructed picture including the base with its little duck pond.It'll be staying in my house for when they come to visit but I think I'll get one of my sons to construct it.

Really pleased with the quality of this farm. Given to our 3 year old grandson who loves the fact that the roofs come off easily. I agree with the other reviews that the fencing needs to be fixed in some way as they slide about on the base board - will have to use some bluetac.

My 18month old loves this and spends all day long putting his animals inside in all different ways. The slightly frustrating bit is that all the sides come off and I spend hours putting them all back in because it’s too complex for a child do so. Otherwise I really like it.

This is by far the best toy in our house. This sturdy farm has kept our 3 year old very happy and very occupied for almost a year now. The farm itself is a good base for imaginative play with farm animals. Do note however, the farm does not come with any animals.

Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old, he absoloutely loves it!! also my 5 year old boy does too its strong although when you see thebox flatpacked you think it will be poor quality but its lovely, think a little overpriced but i think all kids toys are now days!!

Ordered early for Christmas, arrived quickly. Not used it yet as Christmas two months away but appears good quality and excellent value. Very heavy wood indicating quality and durability. Good make, fast delivery too.

really liked this little farm, really nicely made, very pretty - my kids loved it. It's made of wood, which I like, but of course slightly more fragile than plastic, but worth it. really liked this one

Fantastic farm yard for my 3 year old who played with it as soon as it was put together. One point on putting it together, it isn't quick as there are quite a few bits to it!

I brought this farm for my daughter and it beats all others on the market. Good quality, hard wearing and great for kids to let there imagination run away with!!
