A pretend play cash register is probably a more common find, but these days more people use cards (and phone pay) than cash to do their shopping. This is a well-made, simple wooden toy – with a slot for a receipt to ‘come out’ at the top, a slot at the bottom for a card to be inserted, and a run strip at the side for card swiping. We bought my niece a little cash register and wooden market shop which she absolutely loves playing with, so this well-made wooden card reader was a perfect addition.Nicely boxed, you get the card machine, a credit card and a receipt made from solid wood. It’s a great toy that even has a contactless option making it more realistic given the rise of contactless payments and the fact that my niece loves tapping my card when we are shopping! Interactive, she also enjoys playing with her friends when they come over charging them for everything from a slice of pizza to a piece of broccoli! Great for imaginative play and real-life experiences.

The girls absolutely love this till!One does the groceries with the credit card and the other die the till with the receipt. This has had them playing for hours!What I really love about these toys is how well made they are and how bright and vivid the colours are they really stand out. All the adults comment on how they remind us of toys we used to play with. All made out of blocks. The thickness is well made too. They don't look flimsy at all and seem very durable!I would really recommend these toys and this company all the toys so far have been amazing and the kids cannot get enough gone are their devices back to toys they go!

This is super cute and really sweet for little children to play shops and other role-playing games with. My youngest daughter really likes pretending she’s a shopkeeper and, as she seen me do it so many times in shops, likes to pay with contactless! It’s very funny to watch her mimic. What’s nice about this is that it’s small (unlike the huge shop tills you can buy!) and she can pretend to be the waitress bringing out bill! She really gets into it and I think this will be one of those toys that gets dragged about with us.As always with Le Toy Van - good quality and lovely design.

This is a gorgeous toy, really well made, and is such fun for very young children. It goes really well with the 'shop' that some friends' children have set up, and they love it. It fires their imagination and they love counting and charging for everything. Wonderful and such fun.The build quality is excellent, and it looks really smart, and is safe for small children. It is nicely presented in a box, and you get the card machine, a credit card and receipt, all made from wood. And how refreshing to have a toy not made of plastic.

Our daughter has a toy shop stand and this goes perfectly with it. It's wooden and has a removable card and receipt that are also wooden. The card can be inserted into the machine or swipes down the side. It's all solidly made and the card and receipt fit perfectly into their slots. It's brightly painted and she absolutely loves it. We have been "sold" many things since it arrived.This will be well-loved until it is outgrown and passed on to someone else. It's likely to last many years and is so much better than plastic!

This is a Le Toy Van product and we’ve got a few already. They are brilliant. Lovingly made, solid wood with that classic feel to them. They are built to last and I guess the price reflects it. As with all their toys into gender neutral. Our wee one absolutely loves this. They’ve been incorporating it into play with their own toys playing shopkeeper and they’ve also been using it at meal times to charge us for meals, drinks etc. It’s great fun and promotes imaginative play with some numeracy skills.

This is an interesting, but cool childrens toy and would make a welcomed addition to any child's toy box.Like many of the le toy van products, this simple, wooden toy is brightly coloured and made of high quality materials.This is the first time I had seen a card reader toy, but it was something that the child playing with it was very familiar with, perhaps even more so than using the traditional fake money in their game of shops.A really cute toy that would be great for little ones.

Although a till has been a staple toy in our house for the past few years, it's actually much more common for the kids to see me by card when we go shopping, so this was a nice addition to their roleplaying toys.As with most Le Toy products, this is a nicely made wooden toy that is durable and hard to break. Although this brand does seem a little more expensive, you can expect to get a lot of use out of it. We've been able to hand-on all the toys we've had from them in the past.

Pricey but a lovely looking till unique to others on the market that will last a long time. Smaller than imagined and side button does not ping open the till as I thought it did from previous reviews. Was disappointed that it seemed this till had already been opened/returned, I’ve ordered a few le toy van products which arrive wrapped in foam tissue with a secure seal sticker, the sticker had been opened and there was no tissue to protect the till.

This is a nice sturdy toy, it’s quite chunky and being made out of wood means it is more solid than most other toys.The paint is finished nicely on it and nice colours are used. It comes with a card and what I think is a receipt for the card machine.I think wooden toys are coming back into fashion at the moment, which is a very welcome thing in my eyes.What would make this toy better in my opinion is if it came with more cards/receipts.

Le Toy products are beautifully and solidly made and this is a nice chunky wooden credit card machine. Although parents will love this (as I do) I'm afraid children do often look for the clicks, presses and switches that a plastic one would have and so that slightly reduces the appeal. Still my two enjoyed playing cafes with there's a making their own 'beep' noise when doing contactless payments. No assembly (or batteries!) required.

This is a toy that reminds me of my childhood. Well made, simple and with loads of play opportunities. Kids today love to play shops as much as we did when we were young, and this card reader brings it up-to-date. It's even multi-functional as cards can be swiped, inserted or contactless! And you get a receipt. The pretend number pad will help develop basic numeracy skills, making this a simple toy with fantastic play potential.

This is a nice enough wooden toy card machine; it's well built, solid and durable but it's pretty basic, there's not an awful lot to it. Still very usable of course, especially if you have lots of food/shopping/store toys to accompany it so it will probably see plenty of use as all these things need to be paid for, even if everyone does have to share the same card and receipt.

Great little item. My 4yr old daughter is enjoying playing with it. Yet again another top quality item from Le Toy Van and sustainably sorced materials too - makes a lovely change from all the plastic you usually see from Kids toys. Also bravo to LTV for the minimal packaging too, very little plastic and anything that wasn't the toy can go in the recycling bin!!!
