Utterly in love with this little ice cream stand. I put it up once my 2 year old was in bed and all us big kids and adults had a play!! Really nicely made for little hands. No sharp edges or badly fitting pieces.My 2 year old plays with this constantly and I can see it being g a winner for a good few years to come. Everyone likes to play shopkeeper, especially for ice cream shop!!!The front of the counter is clear acrylic/plastic. The toppings, tongs and ice cream bowl are soft durable plastic and the rest is all wooden. The ice cre scoop is plastic and wood and it presses onto the ice cream scoops to pick them up and releases them with a little push.

Our 3 year old daughter absolutely loves this icecream counter! She plays with it many times every day. She loves getting everyone to order and pay for icecreams and then she proudly serves them up. She can easily operate the scoop to build some tall icecreams! Every part of the set is robust and fantastic quality. It will definitely stand up well to some heavy and frequent use! The other great thing about it is that it doesn't take up much room and can be put in different places to fit in with any set up or configuration of role play toys. This is handy for our daughters who are always setting up a new cafe, shop or market! Our 7 year old enjoys playing with this too,

I didn't buy for a while, due to the price point being over 30 gbp. But as a last minute decision it was SO worth it. My son played with it all day Christmas day. He is 4. 5 and loves to play shop. The ice cream scoop takes practice for a 4 year olds thumb strength. But he was able and the difficuly of it made it all the more realistic. So much nicer than the plastic ones that clang along the floor when dropped. All parts of this toy are sturdy. I recommend for a 3.5 year old upwards due to the strength needed for the scoop. It looks beautiful too. Very nicely made. The plastic screen on the. Customers side makes it look so realistic.

My boys absolutely love playing with this and it’s a great item and allows for creative role play. It accompanied their kitchen well, giving more diversity to their play.However, we have a piece pissing on the topping side. For the amount paid, this is disappointing and I’m unsure how this has not been spotted (or was it ignored?) because it was immediately visible on opening. My children saw it and thus I couldn’t send it back without upsetting them.Just to note, although it was intended more for my 3 year old, my 17 month old finds this easy to do and enjoys it too. So don’t be afraid of getting it for a younger child.

It is a very good toy. I ordered it for Christmas as a gift. I opened it to see how it works and to check for any possible damages.The packaging was very protective, even though the box arrived slightly damaged the toy inside remained perfectly fine.I love everything except the ice-cream scoop, it is not magnetic, it's a plastic "hook" inside the scoop and you have to press the top button to release the attachments, not sure how long it will last in the hands of a 3 year old.Overall the product is great, I highly recommend it.

Bought this for my grandson aged 3. Best toy ever, particularly as uses imagination and pretend play AND no batteries. Grandson and his brother aged 4, played for ages with it. Still keep going back to it. They use it on its own and also with an oven unit, M&D pizza and play money - Mum, Dad and Granny also like playing with it!I gave it 5 stars for ‘value for money’ as, although expensive, definitely get hours and hours of play out of it. ( As long as your child likes pretend play.)

This set is just so lovely I can't say enough about it.My kids love playing icecream shops with it. It is so well made and it really feels as much like the real thing as a wooden toy possibly could.It's just so cute. Melissa and Doug's attention to detail is fabulous and it's so nice to be able to buy quality toys for my kids rather than cheap (but actually expensive) nasty plastic tat. Thank you Melissa and Doug.

Bought for my 5 yr old daughter for Christmas as she went on and on every time she saw the plastic ice cream trolley on tv adverts. This was a little babyish and didn’t look like it would last, so turned to trusty Melissa and Doug. She is thrilled with it and pieces are solid, lovely colours and it’s easy for little hands to handle. She’s been taking our ice cream orders most days since opening it!

This was hands down the best gift we got the children (2 and 4) for Christmas. They have loved creating ice creams for everyone.It is sturdy and well made which means it has withstood a heavy handed two year old to perfection.I adore this set and so do the children. It allows children to develop social skills, hand eye coordination, mathematics and problem solve (alternate toppings etc).

My niece has this and so got it for my 5 year old who loves to role play. Great toy with lots of ice cream ‘options’. Love all the added gadgets like ice cream scoop, tongs, little takeaway bowl etc. Also includes a menu for those little ones wanting to set up shop.Built with a mixture of wood and plastic, and just going by my nieces (who has had her for 2+ years), it’s very durable.

My three year old grandchildren loved this and it’s fun to play with them asking for different combinations of flavours and toppings. Very well made and all the parts fit inside the ice cream counter. The ice cream scoop works like the real thing to pick up scoops of ice cream and put them in the cones. The price seemed quite high but the children play with it so much it is worth it.

My kid is obsessed with ice cream and spends a lot of time making me ice cream concoctions to eat with this set. It’s nicely made and is just lovely. Only thing is the ‘ice cream scoop’ which she hasn’t quite figured out yet as you need to click the ice cream into the scoop and then release it but she’ll figure it out in time. Great present and highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant toy. My 3 year old loves it. I love it too as it’s so nice to get a high quality toy. It’s is very sturdy and I love the fact that every piece has its place in the counter so you can easily see if anything is missing. Even the menu that comes with it is very sturdy. All of the Melissa and Doug toys I’ve purchased have been of a high quality.

Is a lot smaller than appears in photos, nice size for 2 year old who enjoys role play with 8 year old sister. They love playing ice cream shops. Bit fiddly for 2 year old, but a lot of fun still. Price is also quite a bit, however I believe she’ll play with it longer than a plastic set, a classic style that won’t be too babyish in 2 years like plastic ones

I love all this brands products but I was expecting more cones for the money, nevertheless it's wooden,amazing quality, bright in colour and you can carry it around....The scoop is a little fiddly for small hands but I suppose it encourages hand eye coordination.My daughter Recommends this product ? she hasn't put it down since I bought it!
