I ordered this yesterday afternoon for my 5 year old niece as a birthday present and it arrived less than 24 hours later, very good service!The toy looks to be exactly what I was after, a little pretend sweet shop for a little girl who loves her sweets. I love the fact that it comes with pretend money and scales and so presents several learning opportunities. My pack did come with sweets so I am not sure what happened to other peoples. They are in a separate box at the bottom of the pack.I also bought my niece a DVD of her favourite film, and am looking forward to setting this sweet shop up and pretending we are getting pick and mix at the cinema before watching the DVD together.As for those who are questioning what to do with it after the sweets run out,

My children love this toy and so do I!This is probably one of their favourite games. I like it because they interact together and even when other children come over, everyone is included and no-one left out. It has been the centre of a lot of family time together. There is no age minimum or limit for playing this. Nor is there a maximum number of players.The sweets have long gone but we top up with different cereals, dried fruits and raisins. So, I do not even feel guilty that they are consuming sugar. I find the mini multipacks of cereals great for this. I have even put in bits of chopped fresh fruit and berries.There is also the learning element,

Bought for my two grandchildren 3 1/2 and six They have to earn their sweets when they come round by setting up the sweet shop and selling sweets to each other. They are more excited by actually setting the sweetshop up and playing with it then actually eating sweets which is great.The best thing was the bag of sweets that came with it was all mixed up so they spent a good half an hour sorting the sweets out and setting it up like the picture on the box since then I have just bought small bags of sweets and mix them up for them to sort out I bought some small paper bags separately for them to use with it.

Bought for my 2 year old grand daughter to complete her shop. Read other reviews and saw that some customers had received item with sweets , whereas others had received shop without .Warned my daughter , in advance , and she found the sweets tucked away within a separate compartment within the package .Had visions of my grand daughter having a bean feast before the shop was even set up.My daughter has replaced the sweets with chunky dry pasta shapes and with raisins and dried fruit as dolly mixtures are way too sweet and full of colours. The shop was well received and the scoop and jars have given lots of fun .

I bought this for my daughter for xmas when she was 5, she is almost 8 now and still plays with it with her younger brother. She buys sweets for it with her pocket money, jelly tots, pic and mix, smarties, lolly's etc, so rather than eat her sweets in the car she saves them to play shops with, therefore they last her longer! We also get it out at her birthday party's, she had a Willy Wonka style party last year and the shop went down a treat, each child got pretend money and each lolly etc was priced individually so the children had to choose carefully!! GREAT VALUE FOR the price, and yes it also included some sweets when we bought it which was even better!!

Saw this and it brought back great memories from when i had it when i was younger. I just had to buy it for my daughters Christmas as she loves roll play and shop games. Its a cute little shop with scales, tubs of sweets, a little scoop, play money and places to put your lollipops. A few reviewers said they didnt receive the sweets however I did. You will defo want to keep a little supply of sweets in the cupboard to keep this toy entertaining as there isnt much to do without them. However im thinking about buying coloured beads as toy sweets so my daughter isnt constantly eating sweets lol. Would also be good to buy some sweetie bags to

Delivery of this item was within a couple of days - excellent service. When I opened the box, I couldn't find any sweets in it and so contacted Amazon who were, as always really helpful. They arranged another delivery for the next working day. I opened the box and found the sweets in the first compartment and immediately checked the original order - the sweets were in a compartment at the other end of the box. Totally my fault for not checking so I kept and paid for both toys!The product itself is quite sturdy for the price and as other reviewers have stated, it is an interactive, fun and learning toy. Really pleased with it.

My three year old was pleased as punch with this at Christmas! Lovely that it comes with sweets (although we had enough ‘Christmas stock’ to fill it so haven’t yet got through the sweets it came with).My only gripe is that it doesn’t come with paper bags to put the sweets in for ‘customers’. Also the plastic it’s made of it a bit flimsy so won’t withstand rambunctious play (not that this toy will promote that anyway!). It’s good for the price.

Sent for this to be delivered for my six year old granddaughters birthday. She absolutely loves it! Has played with it constantly ever since, selling sweeties to all her bears and furry toys , which means quite few sweets are still left!I have given this product before to another child so know it is well made and designed and very good value and so very entertaining! Would send again for another child without hesitation.

My 23yr old daughter had this when she was small so I have now bought this for my 6yr old granddaughter to go with the Princess till also from Amazon. I think it's a good way for children to learn to earn their treats also to learn to share. This will in turn teach them the value of money. An ideal gift for boy or girl and you can top it up accordingly as my daughters lasted for years.

I had one of these as a kid and loved it so bought one for my daughter for Christmas - she also loves it! It comes with quite a few sweets, which are easy to add to, so it literaly becomes a toy that will last for a very long time. I bought with it some colourful striped paper sweet bags and some sweet tongs to make it even more interesting. All kids will love this sweet shop.

Purchased this for my 4 year daughter who loves sweets and the whole concept of owning her own sweet shop. Was delivered really fast and unlike one of the reviews I read prior to purchasing this, the two sweet jars do have lids which open and close and therefore are able to be used. A really good buy and my only complaint was that the lollys provided were slightly sticky!

One of my daughters favourite Christmas surprises - low tech but gives hours of play - would advise people to buy some of the little pick and mix bags to go with this if they are buying itThe sweets included are a nice bonus - although my Daughter has squirreled them away as she thinks these "North Pole sweets" are something special :-)

I purchased this item for two little girls 4 and 5 years old. They loved it and played very happily. Warning - wenearly missed the sweets in second compartment at the bottom of the box! You will need to replenish the sweetsquite frequently but this is easily done with dolly mixtures etc. Not a long term toy but fun for the price.

Got this for my 6 year old neice for Xmas. Was surprised that it came complete with sweets, a real bonus, as I got to keep the extra that I had brought! she played with it for about 2 hrs Xmas day with her cousins aged 2-9, and they all had a great time- what more can you ask for, for a tenner?Great value for not very much money
