I bought this as an impulse purchase for an extra Christmas present for my 2 year old as part of the Black Friday deals. He was below the recommended age limit so we actually ended up giving it to him six months later. He really enjoys playing post offices with this and loves posting the envelopes and cards into the post box. This is a good quality set but the pieces are fairly small and made of paper so don't last that long, however we photocopied some of them so we could make new newspapers etc.. once the original ones got torn. We've added extra coins as there weren't many. He also loved the scales and selling newspapers to us, we enjoyed reading the back of the newspapers too to see the other Casdon products available. This is a good set for encouraging imagination and role playing for young children.

We bought this for our daughter's third birthday and are really pleased with it. Although it's plastic, it's very sturdy and durable. There's lots of bits to it: greeting cards, newspapers, magazines, notepaper, pencil, envelopes, driving licence and other forms, stamps, airmail and photo stickers... I thought this was excellent value.I do agree that the items are perhaps a little on the small side, but don't feel it's worth losing a star for! It'd be easy to make up your own bits and pieces out of magazine pictures. Think I might photocopy the forms as others suggest, before they are used. Both our daughter and 5-year-old son enjoy playing with this post office.

The first thing we did after our 5 year old son opened the box was to whip the forms & mags etc away for scanning, as recommended by a previous customer. Wasn't happy about this, as it delayed his playing, but he'll thank us for it in the long run as I can't see those bits lasting - especially the forms where you have to write on them. He wasn't happy that the "paid" stamp wasn't a real one, so I have given him a small red ink pad from my crafting box - and we have also had to create some bills to actually stamp! We keep the whole thing set up as he plays with it everyday, and it has been worth the money for that alone.

As soon as this was opened by my niece (nearly 9 yrs old) her and my son (8yrs) loved it and didn't stop playing it!!Role play was done by the adults too with Grandparents buying car tax and postcards! The only shame was that in this box, the weighing scales tray was missing yet they continued to play with it knowing that I would sort it out after Christmas, unfortunately Amazon say its out of stock and I have to return the whole thing for a refund as no replacement can be found which is a huge shame.Hopefully this wouldnt happen again and I will be buying another one to replace this one, the kids loved it.

I have to disagree with the other review. Our daughter (and her cousin) were both given one of these for Christmas and they were probably the most popular toy of the day. I do agree that the items are small and paper can tear so this is probably more suitable for someone aged about 3-4+. There's lots to do: they can run the shop, fill in forms, weigh things and deliver letters to people in the post box. There are working scales, coins in a drawer and a pretend stamp. (Top Tip: we scanned in the forms and magazines so we could print more if they go missing. Top Tip 2 - real 1p stamps add cheap authenticity!).

I gave this toy Post Office to my four year old grandson, and he immediately wanted to play. Four hours later we were still playing - and have been doing so on a regular basis since! I did add a few things to it ie a real rubber stamp, extra pencils and sharpener. I also photo-copied the 'magazines' and forms etc. so that I have spares when needed. Overall, I rate this toy as very good. However, there is one slight fault - the post box does not fit into the designated place on the post office 'counter', and therefore has to be free standing, which means it topples over quite easily.

I ordered the post office set for a new year gift for my granddaughter, who loved it on opening. Sadly one piece of the set was missing even though the box had been sealed. The scale base was the part missing which is an integral part of the toy so I emailed CASDON the company who produces the toy but unfortunately to date they have not as yet responded. I am hopeful that they will make contact and I will be able to access the missing part as it really is a wonderful set, which will offer lots of play value, hence my four rating rather than a five.

Considering the price of the product (£7.09) you get plenty of toy. The packaging was great and the product once set up is bigger than we thought-no bad thing. Purchased as a present for my daughter, she has endless fun as there is plenty to be doing. Some of the features include:- a postbox- weighing scale (for show really)- newspaper & magazine rack with loads of titles- stamps- money- postcards- cards and envelopesAnd loads more. It's bigger than expected but thats good. Overall great product with loads of accessories for hours of fun..

I have bought this toy for my three year old daughter. It is a week that she has it and she is still playing with it, and knowing her it is a big success!! It is a good toy and gives a good variety of games (prepare parcels, put the stamps, count the money, post the letter, sell the papers). I think overall is a good toy, even if I thought it was a bit bigger (the picture gave me the impression of a bigger item), and the papers and the other accessories are in paper and don't think they will last very long.... I would recommend this toy

I bought one of these from a supermarket in a sale for my grand daughter and she absolutely loved it !! Her sister wanted one so much that I promised her I would find one for her and I did...on Amazon, no one else had it, so I am a happy Nanna!! Excellent little mini post office encourages adult role play and an excellent range of post office stationery and post box, stamp and till etc. They both loved it!!! But be warned, you may need to buy two like I did!! :-) Needless to say, |I am also a very popular Nanna!! Thank you, Amazon :-)

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. Following the advise of another reviewer I did laminate all the magazines before wrapping it up and also photocopied the forms and I am glad I did. After just a week of playing with it all the forms have gone. Over all the build quality and durability is excellent and the amount of accessories you get is brilliant. I just wish you could buy accessories separately. This is excellent value for money and provides hours of fun. Highly reccommended.

Our 3 year old god daughter absolutely loved this. It's brightly coloured, easy to assemble & the detail inspired-minature birthday cards including one for Grandad & a magazine rack full of minature magazines including Hello & Practical Parenting which made the adults smile..The post box was soon filling up with tiny stamped carefully posted cards before being emptied with the post proudly delivered. It kept her entertained all afternoon & packed up easily. For any child who enjoys playing shops this is perfect.

I remember my teenage daughter loving this when she was young so I purchased one for my young niece. In this day and age of gadgets, emails, text messages etc I like the idea of still teaching kids about writing and posting letters etc. Also, I know my niece's mother sells stuff on Ebay and is always packaging up items and they go to the Post Office a lot so my niece is familiar with the Post Office and items being weighed etc so she loved it when she could role play like her Mum!

Very pleased with this item which I bought for my grandson's 3rd birthday, to play with his 4 year old sister. I took another reviewer's advice and photocopied the master sheets incase they run out, and bought some penny stamps. I also cut out all the magazine sheets and laminated them individually as I thought this would make them more durable and easier to stack in the display. It has not been used yet, but I am sure it will provide hours of imaginative play.

I've bought a few of these for presents for relatives and friend's children. They all loved this set, lots of little parts such as magazines, money and coins. Ideal for children who like playing with small toys. If you do buy it, dont make my mistake-i thought the weighing scale was missing but it's taped tightly under another piece in the packaging. Yes, I ordered several thinking they were all faulty before realising my embarrassing error!
