This is a great toy and my 3 year old is growing into it understanding pretend play, dealing with money and general understanding of buying things.Pros:Pretty robustGood selection of things to do like scanning, real life calculator, microphone and credit card device which can swivel around. The buttons are all one surface and is raised slightly so it's easy to wipe down if dirty.Comes with stickers you need to stick on yourselves. could be fun for older children, but needed our help for our 3 year old.Comes with a good selection of food produce though the boxes have seen better days now, but still surviving.Comes with some plastic coins and small bank notes. Our little one started to add her own collection of pennies to the till which increased her interested.Cons:the scanner wire could be twice as long as sometimes it's a bit difficult mimic scanning.the noise of the till opening and the pressing of the buttons is a bit too noisy. Could tone it down a bit.The microphone isn't too flexible and you have speak really close to it like as though your mouth is touching it before you get the microphone effect. The till could come out a little further as it's a bit difficult reaching into the back compartments. There are no individual buttons on the chip and bin. It is just one button you can press multiple time before giving a confirmation beep.It produces an annoying loud beep if it hasn't been touched for a while, which is not great when you have a sleeping baby in the same room. All in all still great fun, even though it can do with a few improvements. Oh, and one small thing, you have to press the ON/AC button first to turn it on.

My 2yr old and 4yr old will equally love this. The cardboard boxes could do will sellotaping shut if being played with regularly. Functions - calculator, beeping scanner, beeping handheld scanner, noise when opening cash drawer, insert the debit card and you can press the pin pad 4 times and then it won't let you press any more until you remove the card and put it in again, microphone. Quite realistic. When you scan your items it displays a random amount for each one and then actually adds this up at the end which is educational. The only fault I can find is that you need a phillips screwdriver and 3 AA batteries.Mine wanted to play with it straight away so I put expensive rechargeables in it until I went shopping and the screw for the battery cover is so soft it has rounded off so to replace the batteries I will need to break it, put batteries in and fix it with duct tape, which will be on the bottom so not visible, just disappointing as it wasn't a cheap toy. Better quality screws please Casdon! Other than that it is a great toy. The "people who bought this item also bought..." thing on Amazon is also misleading. Do not buy the recommended play money as it is considerably larger than the money it came with and the notes do not fit. The money it comes with is the right size.

Great little till purchased for my granddaughter who loves it.I have not had any problems with opening and shutting the cash draw as long as it is on a reasonably level base.the mic is a little tinny but is still a fun part of this set.the cash that comes with it is dollars.the hand held scanner has a realistic sound and is used a lot. the card reader makes a sound after the number pad is pressed four times just like adding a four digit pin.the screen and main pad also works as a calculator or brings up individual prices of scanned items, you then press total button for final amount.comes with some grocery items which means it can be played with once the batteries are in straight away.2 x Batteries AA (Double A)NOT SUPPLIED!overall very pleased and more importantly my granddaughter loves it.highly recommend.

We bought this for our 3 year-old granddaughter to go with a cardboard shop. The shop was eventually removed, having served its purpose for a year, after which we decided it took up too much room. The cash register is still used though. Her understanding of the finer points is still limited at the age of 4.5 though. It is really more suitable for a 5 or 6 year-old, who could work out how to use the card reader and the calculator. The number pad can in fact be used as a basic calculator, which is a bonus. The one thing that lets it down is the PA feature. You have to virtually put the microphone in your mouth to achieve anything, and the sound is terribly distorted - not that our granddaughter was too bothered when she was only 3.

Nice till, with selection of products to go with it, bought for my Great Nephews 2nd birthday, unfortunately had to return it as the sound when the till drawer opened was faulty, so requested a replacement, which I subsequently received but again the sound when drawer opened had the same fault. As my Great Nephews birthday had since passed and he had loved it when the box was opened we've elected not to return it a second time and he is very happy playing with it. Would have given 5 stars had it not been for this fault, perhaps manufacturer should look into this fault as there seems to be a problem there.

Bought this for my 2 year olds birthday. It’s a great till. With lots of buttons to press and the mic is great for them. Both my 2yo and 4yo have quickly learnt how to turn it on and make the mic work. Comes with some notes and coins, not realistic, but it doesn’t matter. And as they get bigger the working calculator will be good for them too. The plastic food items are great. As are the cardboard ones, but they do tend to come undone a lot. But again, my 2 are not fussed by it. I would really recommend it, and it’s a lot smaller than some of the big stand up ones. A bonus for storage too.

This till is fantastic, I bought for my sons 3rd birthday, and although he hasn't had it yet, I've had a little look (and play!) and it's fab.Realistic cash register sounds and the till bleeps too. The microphone is also great and amplifies voice well.I highly recommend this till to any child that loves role play.Great value for money, hours of fun!Why only 4 stars?!The till is a lot smaller than I expected and there doesn't seem to be an off button! Which will, over time, use up battery life.I recommend purchasing some additional play money as there isn't much supplied.

The casdon play cash till is very good. It is educational where little ones can practice their maths. It would have been better if they would have put a division button on it as well. The sounds are realistic too. The card machine reader is great... it can be a little stiff to get the card back out. All of the little extras like the milk and the tins of food, etc are a lovely touch. The microphone is a lovely little feature. My only thing is that it is quite loud but can be solved by covering the volume output woth some tape. Overal very good toy and i feel that it is durable.

This is great for the price. It is quite small but I think that makes it cuter. I like how you can pretend to weigh fruit and veg. Bought for my 4 year olds birthday along with shopping basket of food (was suprised you get a few items with the till as well). She (and brothers age 7 and 9!) all love it. I had an ELC one for my eldest which eventually broke after 8 years, would probably recommend that for younger kiddies as it is bigger and chunkier. I love all the little boxes and tins and what's not to love about toy money thar has teddies on it.

Sellotape the mic otherwise these keen microphone snogging kids will do your head in after soiling the damn thing *rolls eyes*... which results in the function no longer being available - EVER. Other than that, this is a great little addition to the thousands of toys your child(ren) will have the pleasure of playing with. What consumers we are though! I remember neatly tearing paper, drawing money/numbers and imagining products whenever I wanted to play cashiers. My parents were clearly not "the best".

Was bought with the self serve supermarket for granddaughters 3rd birthday whilst unlike the self serve this is a push button scanner or hand held scanner that adds up random figures we had so much fun scanning each other my granddaughter was the most expensive.was told she was out of stock.the calculator works as a calculator teaching math's communication skills and the best fun in ages comes with branded packaging I would advise to bulk the box's out with polystyrene and cover with clear film

Was slightly disappointed when we received this and saw how small it was, but it hasn’t detracted from the playability at all (in fact it just means it’s easier to store!). One year on and it still gets played with most days and we’ve even ordered more as gifts. Comes with a good selection of toy food, and the chip and pin reader, microphone and two means of scanning are nice touches. We spent a long time deciding which till to get and are very pleased with our choice.

My 2yo son loves this, especially the microphone so he can speak to the "shoppers", the chip & pin machine & the little scanner. The money that is included doesn't look anything like real sterling so I bought some very realistic looking notes & coins for about £1 which is great for teaching him our currency. The only drawback is that the till drawer has on occasion become stuck shut so we can't get the money out. Usually sorts itself out after a few days

Great fun. Particularly like the 'credit card reader' with realistic noises for the PIN code, and the microphone (although my grandson will insist on putting his mouth completely around it, which makes for quite a bit of distortion!) Only criticism is that the spring action on the cash till is a bit violent, which makes it somewhat like Arkwright's till in Open All Hours, but that's a minor thing. Overall, this is well made and excellent value for money.

My 8 year old son has litrally not put this down.He collects all my receipts then pretends to add the food up on the till. The barcode scanner brings up random prices, then you can manually enter the prices and you also have the preset cost of items like fruit and veg. Hit the cash back button and the whole thing adds up to give you the final total. So much better than other tills Iv bought on the market. Can't recommend this enough
