From the moment you open the box you can see an awful lot of thought and effort has gone into designing this set. The box is superbly designed with pictures of all the 911 models adorning the inside edge, the graphics on the inner boxes shows some of the detailing on the model and the way the Alloys are displayed shows they are uber proud of the desigtechnically designed set I've made. Having owned and built most if the Star Wars models I felt like a change and this was definitely the best choice.Great use of some different items to make lines and designs work on this, fantastic engineering mirroring the actual working parts of the real car, steering, suspension, engine, all amazingly recreated down to that of the distinct RS designed alloys. The instruction/Porsche design story book is fantastically laid out with some amazing photos of real design processes as well as that of the model itself. This is the most enjoyable set that really gets the brain working. Well worth the money, just contemplating if the Bugatti is worth trialling next!Read full review...

Purchased this item recently as I am a huge fan of all kind of Lego. have already a collection of larger Technic set and it was time to add this masterpiece to the collection. I am still in building phase but the design and the technical solutions built into this build are fantastic! One thing though, pages 192-193 in the instruction manual list an incorrect way of how the flywheels should be attached [credit goes to the guys on YouTube], beside this it is incredibly entertaining and fun to build it [as with any other Lego set :)]!I definitely recommend it, for the value the prize is moderate but keep in mind that the packaging itself is a beauty ;)

I purchased this prior to the new Porsche 911 RSR (42096) kit which made that build rather disappointing, so much so that I've kind of lost interest and it's been languishing 3/4 finished for the last few days! This kit (42056) is so much better, more solid, more detail (though, rather sadly, so much of it is then hidden away e.g. the whole geared drivetrain) and the ratio is better e.g. the wheels on the other one are simply too small.I built mine in right-hand drive (because I live in the UK) which was fun and made it slightly more challenging. If you want a Lego Technic Porsche, spend the extra and get this kit.

It is a super improved Lego product, compared to other Lego technics, such as with gear controls, speed controls and stirring function. No doubt, the money spent is super worth. It is for my kid, and looking at the way he is attached to it for the first couple of days, he will stick with it for months to come. That means he enjoys it a lot. What is most important is how much the kids love their toys! The kid has started learning a lot about automotive technologies with fun of assembling it. The Lego technic Porsche is giving that advantage

My biggest technic build yet, the Porsche is a great building experience but is only intended for display. The body looks very faithful to the original but is somewhat wobbly and unstable. The front suspension is not strong enough to properly support the car, so the front droops a bit. There are improvement kits that allegedly allay most of the problems, although I haven't tried them out myself.Build experience: 5/5Quality of model: 4/5Playability: 2/5

This kit is AMAZING!It took me under 15 hours to build it and I enjoyed every second of it.It comes in 5 stages. They are kept separated into boxes to make easier the construction. Now, I cannot stop looking at it. I keep going over the body details and parts designing.I love it! I will be dissembling it soon, so I can enjoy it again, again, again...Definitely I will be doing another Lego Technic soon.

Off the shelf, it is great value for money. What else would you expect as a flagship model from LEGO? This particular model has gained a lot of interest from the LEGO community and there are plenty of extra MODs you can apply to this model to make it PERFECT! One such MOD is the ability to add Power Functions and turn this into a Remote Controlled vehicle - great fun!

What an amazing couple of weeks with my son helping me to build my first ever self-taught lego kit.We have learnt so much together, team work and pure engineering.Limited slip differentials and rack & pinion steering have revealed themselves to us without being told.Highly recommended for the little boy (hopefully) still in all dads...

I am 75 years old and I had as much joy with this as the 40 or so kits I have built. Been a fan of building kit all my life.It must be the best kit of all time.3000 or so pieces, 800 page manual which a marvel in itself.Bought from Toys R Us for 200 quid. Delivered in 3 days. Waiting for the next ( Bugatti Veron ) ???

A true Lego Technic toy one of their best yet. I have the unimog, the VW van the mini and many others I think they are getting better and with the collectors booklet and special code it truly is a great model well worth the price I paid if you like technic models you won't be disappointed with this one

The Porsche 911 GT RS Lego Technic kit is a quite simply an engineering masterpiece. From the flat six boxer engine and gearbox to the steering rack, the whole kit has been well thought out.It provides hours of building enjoyment and the finished model is very impressive.

Advertised as being in excellent condition and it is. Looks almost unused despite being a stripped down kit and the packaging is perfect. I’m well pleased. One rare Porsche 911 GT3 RS Lego Tecnic model to keep me entertained during lockdown.

I really like this model, its challenging to build and keeps your mind set on completing a great looking set. Once built, the Porsche looks huge, great detail inside and awesome to display.Really recommended

Haven't built anything with Technic or Lego in almost 20 years. This was the largest set I've ever done and i enjoyed it from start to finish! Just wish there was a secondary set of directions for more fun

This is a good build and is interesting the way the engine and gearbox function. The outer skin uses a number of "standard" Lego parts and consequently there are a few gaps in the bodywork.
