This modest set touches upon the heart of the Star Wars saga; Darth Vader’s transformation! So it should be of much interest to young builders and older Star Wars fan alike. The 280 piece set is quite detailed and brilliant for play. It includes a table with great functionality features as its tilts and lowers so that what remains of Anakin and be patched up by Emperor Palpatine’s ghastly selection of 3 medical droids including FX-9. There is a knob that can be turned to reveal the suited Darth Vader that then can be fitted with the top part of his helmet through a crane device. Two technic levers cause the FX-9 medical droid and the weapon rack to fall over which obviously occurs when Vader slips into a rage. Our son tried this over and over again with Palaptine constantly teasing Darth with the fact that he killed his wife and other things, quite cruel if you ask me.There are 3 charcter figures included; a char-burned Anakin Skywalker straight from Mustafar (which might require some explanation for the youngest ones that were kept away from this scene), his brand new transformed and repaired self aka Darth Vader and of course Palpatine. I must say that we already own a version of the latter two figures though the Darth Vader has a cool helmet that comes in two parts, so that his transformation can happen in several stages. Also Lego didn’t go as far to give us an severely burnt Anakin without limbs. But the droids are very interesting. The build was varied and interesting. Our little imperial brick engineer required some help at some stages, but put it together quite quickly in two stages. And could resist playing with the partial completed set and figures in between. So an great set with excellent play functions that recreates one of the most iconic Star Wars scenes. An obvious must-have for all the Darth Vader fans out there.

I had the original Vader Transformation set when it was first released, so this was a must-have for me.The set itself is very well made and very sturdy, though the build was slightly repetitive. The minifigure selection is okay, and I must say that I am a fan of the new model Vader helmet. It works really well in this set and models the scene from the film brilliantly! The detailing on the figures is very intricate and well thought out, and it is quite a large build.I enjoyed making this set and it also has some good play features, if it was going to be played with rather than just displayed

This is such a deatiled set for a £20 set, the building techniques used in the set are brilliant, and the overall build was really enjoyable. I was also really surprised with the amount of pieces for the set, as each piece roughly cost 7p per brick. The set in particular allows the individual to recreate the iconic scene from Star Wars Episode III, by providing accurate minfigures with brillant detail and design, whilst being original to the source material. The play features are also really well done, to represent Vaders transformation, and overall use of the force.

Great lego set, my Star Wars mad son loved this and he enjoyed taking his time to build it and dismantle and build again with modifications. I'd advise getting some sort of storage box as some bits are quite small. My son has trouble focusing his attention and tends to jump from one toy to another but he loves the Star Wars lego and will spend hours playing with his various sets.

This set represents the Anakin to Vader transformation sequence in Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith and includes The Emperor, Injured Anakin and Darth Vader mini figures (the updated versions). If you love Lego and Star Wars, it's a no brainer at £14.99! It's affordable, a great build and has 3 key characters that have historically, only been available in larger more expensive sets.

Lego is one the best kids toys there is, fun to build and then great scenario to play! This set in particular is a cheap way to get Darth Vader and Palpatine. Also has Anakin before he goes to the Dark side (no spoilers :))All in all this set is perfect for kids who love Star Wars or adults who want a cheap way to get main Star Wars Minifigs!

This version of the Vader transformation set is a marked improvement on its predecessor. Besides being a good display and play piece, the set offers a good selection of parts for the money and is great for the parts harvesters. You also obviously get the current Darth Vader without having to break the bank. Happy days.

Very good set, the set itself is a little bit pricey at £45 but it’s still a reasonably valid price and is worth it with the mini figures you get and the fact that it’s such an iconic scene in the Star Wars Franchise. Do recommend it if you’re a beginner collector like myself. A good set to start of with.

Amazing Lego set that can be built in a few hours. It has some mechanisms to make the Lego characters move, which adds a nice dramatic touch to the scene it displays. I honestly love it and I'm glad I could buy it so cheap, because in any Lego store I would have paid double the price.

This was a birthday gift for my daughter who loves Star Wars. She found it a bit fiddly to put it together but with some help from her big brother she managed it.Looks great when it's put together and good value too from Amazon as it was more expensive from other retailers.

Really impressed with this set, very detailed, 3 mini figures and 2 robots so great value there to and good size set for £19.99. Took about 30mins to set up.You can reenact that great scene without adding the terrible Nooooooooo!. Lol.A must for Star Wars Lego fans.

Bought this one because of the characters in the box. Not amongst the best ones from Lego SW line of products. Lego designers can do much much better. However I'm happy I finally got the Darth Vader minifig along with emperor Palpatine in my collection.

I like this set and I would recommend it to anyone who got it on special offer. It has around 225 pieces and Darth Vader plus the Emporor . Overall it is a sturdy set with several functions and reasonably cheap ( I got it for £16 on a special offer).

My son was over the moon with his new toyBeing the world's biggest starwars geek and an avid Lego lover he couldn't have been more pleasedWas same price as everywhere else but for free next day delivery you can't complain

Great recreation of a scene. Action features work flawlessly and allows you to react the moment of Darth Vaders pain. Also Emperor Palpatine with lightsaber, whilst easily recreatable is not seen in any other official set
