Hands down the Ferrari F8 Tributo is a very beautiful car. This is definitely one of my favorite Lego sets in my Speed Champions collection. As soon as I got done building it and set it on my table with all my Lego cars, this Ferrari made those one-seater cars look horrible because they were way too long to match their width and height. The width, height, and length of this Ferrari all match perfectly. The details of the F8 like the rear wing to the silver wheels, it all comes together to make a very cool car. I recently got the Nissan GTR Nismo and the Lamborghini set and then I realized that I could have my own racing scenes! So I made a few of them. So overall, this is a great set but I have one small complaint; the side mirrors fall off often. But I gotta say Lego, amazing job designing the F8 Tributo and my next set is gonna be the Jaguar!

This is my first Speed Champions set as it’s the first design from the series that I really liked. I was not disappointed. The car looks fantastic from all angles and it will look great among all my Creator modular sets. Some sticker advice: if you’re very particular about sticker placement like I am, I suggest leaving the car body and headlight stickers until the end of the build. That way you can align them much better to match the surrounding parts/colours. Connect the two separate headlight stickers to avoid a gap. I would not follow the manual’s placement (usually to center the sticker on the brick).Second suggestion, yes the roof will not fit over the driver if you use the hair piece (instead of the helmet). You can ‘cheat‘ by replacing the legs with two flat 1x2 bricks. Looks just fine from the outside.

This new 8-wide Ferrari shows us the enormous benefits of that extra 2-stud width on the Speed Champion range. The curves and sleekness of the actual car itself is replicated very well in this model, though in some lights it has a more spikey, Lamborghini look to it, probably due to the spikiness of the available elements! The new baseplate is well designed and leads to a very study build, though the blocky form of the rear of the vehicle is rather disappointing - where the mighty V8 should rest, there are just basic grey blocks. Obviously the engine cover isn't removable like in, say, the large F40 model, but it'd be nice to know there's a representation of the engine in there nonetheless.Still, minor quibbles in an extremely good kit.

I bought this set today and was excited to build it. A little ways through I realized that one of the pieces was missing. I realized it was there but the front was brown instead of black. I did some research and found out I really did have the wrong piece! This is supposedly a rare occurrence which has never before happened to me. It is a slight difference and I’ll probably just have to go with it. I finished the set and it looks very nice. If you like the Speed Champions then I do recommend this set to you. It’s new and bigger than the ones before it. Also I’m not sure what number piece the brown one is so I’ll have to look into it.Thank you for reading this review.

Overall this set was a great build. I got into speed champions in 2019, and the new models that are 8 pieces wide have a lot more detail, are more true to the dimensions of the car, and look fantastic on my work desk.I really enjoyed building this set and I'm looking forward to the other cars in this series. There is one issue, and it appears to be with all of the new Speed Champions sets. If you want to put your minifigure in the car, they can only wear their helmets. If you put on their hair (which looks great by the way!), the glass tile will not fit.Its a minor inconvenience. Like I said, overall this is a fantastic set, can't wait to build the rest!

From the 2020 issue of the Lego Speed Champions series of vehicles, comes this Ferrari F8 Tributo. It's a nice build. Following the instructions it took me about 45 minutes. It's very detailed with lots of 1 x 1 and 1 x 2 stud pieces, in varying shapes and angles (some of which can be seen in the included spares, in my photo). The boxes in the 2020 series are bigger than previous boxes in the series, same quality bricks and easy to follow instructions and comes complete with a driver figure with helmet and separate hair piece. Some pieces are pre printed (front skirt, windscreen) and some pieces need stickers (headlights, badges).Very nice addition.

Quality product, as is to be expected from Lego. The instructions booklet is clear but this might be a little too ambitious project for a 5 year old to put together successfully without very close adult supervision and direction and participation. The decals in particular would likely be beyond the ability of so young a child to apply correctly and the fitting of tyres on wheels required significantly greater force than t year old fingers ard likely capable of applying. Nevertheless the model is attractive, though I think more for building and display than for actual play and again, this hints at it being more suitable for an older age group.

I absolutely LOVE the 8 stud wide design of these new Speed Champions vehicles. Sure it doesn’t fit in with a city layout because they are two wide; but these will be displayed on a shelf or cabinet for sure. The 8 stud wide design allows so much extra detail without using stickers! They’re are still stickers in the set, but only a couple and they are easily left off if you don’t care for stickers. I have one thing that I’d love to see in the future with these vehicles and that would be to have printed headlights on the piece OR brick built headlights. Otherwise, Lego did an EXCELLENT job on this set and this whole 2020 Speed Champions line!

I had been curious about the LEGO sets and after hearing my son and grandchildren's positive experiences I decided to try a modest set for myself. Since I loved building model cars as a child I decided to try this one and from the description thought this would be a great starting point. My son and I worked together to build this model and I am very pleased with the outcome. It's very detailed and was easy to assemble and it gave me some quality time with my son. We are both busy people and this time together on a shared hobby was greatly appreciated. I am hooked and already bought another sports car to jointly assemble. Thanks.

I don’t normally buy speed champions but had to get this set. It just looked so cool in the pictures and it doesn’t disappoint in real life. If I had this when I was 10 years old i’d be blown away by how awesome it looks. It’s an easy, fun and solid build. It has the smallest printed piece I’ve ever seen in a lego set, strangely it has printed pieces Where stickers would have been fine and pieces that should have been printed rather than using stickers i.e the stallion logo on front and back. The minifigure doesn’t fit in the car with his hair piece on so has to have his helmet on or be bold. Overall great little set

This car is beautiful. It stands out for its sleek and smooth design. The car can fit 2 minifigures (although it is not minifigure scale). It comes with 1 minifigure (with 2 possible hairdos) and a wrench accessory. If you are interested in a set for display, this is a great purchase. In order to do all the detailing, they had to increase the size of the vehicle beyond minifigure scale. As a result, it does not have great play value. In addition, it doesn't have a lot of features that would make it fun to play with (trunk, etc). Overall, I think it is a great set and good value.

I was a bit unsure to begin with when I saw pictures of the new Speed champions sets I own most of the original 6 stud wide sets and I liked them. Well I love the new 8 stud set. I wish they had been like this from the beginning. It can hold a driver and passenger with plenty space. I want to try and make my original sets 8 wide to match but due to the windshields I can't unless Lego re print them for people like me who wish to modify them. I'm hoping for a Testarosa and a Lamborghini Contach. Please keep making these I am hooked.

The quality of the pieces and final build is very pleasing and satisfying. I’m slightly disappointed that the plastic windshield of the car came with a scratch on it. However, I’m not so bothered about that and enjoyed the building process. Perfect toy for a parent and child to build together. The Lego speed champion series, technic, and other car sets really do offer something substantial for grown up and little car fans. I would recommend this 100% as it brings Lego fun to seriously cool cars.

It’s hard to imagine a more difficult choice of subject than the F8, with its numerous complex curves. The designers of this model have done an admirable job of emulating the shape of the F8 despite its difficulty. When viewed beside the Audi Quattro and the Nissan GTR, the Ferrari F8 is noticeably lower, which creates an illusion of having a wider wheelbase. The level of detail is excellent, even down to the tiny Ferrari logos near the front wheel arches. Overall a great model.

I liked the new 8-stud speed champions. The Ferrari is my first one and it looks pretty good! Still the mini fig's hair or helmet pushes the top part of the car up a little bit but I still really like it! I am good with stickers but they make me sweat a lot. I had no missing pieces and a good building experience and the car looks pretty good! I like putting it in near my window were I display some other set too and for fans of cars it is a good set to buy! I like it a lot!
