I will admit that we are very impressed and pleased with this. You get a bush scene bit where the hedgehog (who we have named Harry) has a mishap, and then Emma and her ambulance. This is relatively easy to put together but I was certainly delighted in the attention that has gone into the ambulance as it means that when it is built it is very robust, and isn’t likely to come to pieces after hitting walls and the such like.Once Emma reaches the scene with the injured hedgehog she can evaluate the situation, use the feeding bottle that clips on to the side of the ambulance, or if the injury is worse a stretcher can be unclipped form the rear of the ambulance and the hedgehog can be relocated into the ambulance and rushed to medical services. There is a stud on the patient transfer compartment so the hedgehog can be held securely, and there is also a pink tile with a bit sticking out so that you can push Emma’s legs either side, holding her in position as well.If your child hasn’t already got other pieces in this range I will expect that she will start clamouring for them, most probably the actual vet clinic. This isn’t in itself a bad idea as they may want to become a vet when they grow older, and if they end up with some posh city clinic they will earn enough to assist you when you reach your last years, keeping you in comfort and style in a more exclusive retirement home, or centre. As well as giving your child hours of imaginative fun, because of the construction of the ambulance here, hopefully they will gain a better understanding of why certain things are built or engineered as they are so as to cope with strains and collisions.

The 41086 “Vet Ambulance” is an 89 piece build, and appears to have been designed as a possible add-on piece to the bigger 41085 “Vet Clinic” build, but it is a good play piece by itself. It comes with one book and 2 unnumbered bags of pieces. Many of the pieces are small and will roll so using a high sided tray so you don’t lose any. There are 2 main parts to the build, a hedgehog and a single mini-doll.- Emma – this is our vet/ambulance crew and she comes with a black wavy hair piece, blue uniform top, green skirt and green and white shoes.- Vet Ambulance – this is a nice open topped vehicle – it is predominately blue and white with a lovely light burgundy stripe down the side. The ambulance comes with a detachable stretcher and animal feeding bottle.- Bush – comes with a 2 piece light green base, dark and light brown “trunk” pieces and green “branches” with a pink flower.- Hedgehog – this is the same brown hedgehog that comes in several of the other Friends sets. The build is quite easy to follow and didn’t cause too much trouble for the builder, though younger builders may need a little help to sort out what goes where. There are no stickers but there is a printed “red cross” piece.Overall it is a very nice build which has produced a lovely vehicle which fits in with the other friends builds that we have.

LEGO Friends Ambulance is packed inside a bright cardboard box and consists of 89 pieces divided into two individual packets. Full instructions are included. This is an easy kit to build and the completed toy is quite simple, very small and aimed at younger children in the 5 year plus age group. The set has one mini doll, Emma, and the ambulance is nicely sized for Emma to fit comfortably behind the steering wheel though she's not tall enough to reach it. Along with Emma the set contains a tiny hedgehog. It's up to Emma to drive out and rescue the hedgehog by offering him a drink from her feeding bottle before putting him on a stretcher and carrying him back to her ambulance.A basic, simple piece of LEGO intended to be used with the 'Friends Vet Clinic'. It is a cute little vehicle, very little girl, in pastel colours with pink highlights.Although the ambulance is quite simple to construct younger children won't manage the build on their own and will certainly need help.I like the ambulance. It fits in well with other LEGO sets or can be played with separately. It is very small though.

Lego Friends is based in Heartlake City and shares the adventures of 5 friends. This set has Emma driving a Bright Blue and White Vet ambulance to rescue a sick hedgehog. Emma has everything she needs to carry, transport and feed the hedgehog and make sure he is happy in his natural habitat. However if he needs more care - the ambulance set complements the Vet Clinic and more animals are available through the Bunnies and Babies, Puppy Training and Little Foal Box Kits as well as the animal polybags. The kit itself has One Lego Mini Emma Doll (including pink ribbon), The Hedgehog and Bottle and 89 pieces to complete the Hedgehog Hideaway, Ambulance Stretcher in 30 easy steps. The only time you may need to help as adults is pushing the centre of the wheels into the tyres, all other steps are straight forward. There are no stickers in this set but there is one pre-printed block with the Heartlake City Vet Clinic logo on it. This makes the kit even easier to complete.A great little set which opens up a lot of opportunities to use your imagination.

This model vet vehicle with accessories is constructed from the ‘Vet Ambulance’ kit using the smallest size of LEGO bricks/blocks, and their small size is the limiting factor for recommended age range of 5 - 12 years (as it is probably linked to not putting pieces in the mouth). However the model is brightly coloured and attractive for the youngest of the age range and most importantly it has opportunities for play as well as construction. In the box the pieces are in 2 clear plastic bags together with 20 pages of straightforward easy to follow coloured pictorial instructions also embracing an overall illustration and a parts list. There is a nurse (who fits into the ambulance),plus a patient hedgehog (with small garden and a slide) as well as the ambulance that rolls nicely on its wheels. Together with a stretcher (for the hedgehog) these provide the play opportunities that make the ‘LEGO Vet Ambulance’ a 5-star toy - especially as it fits in with various other LEGO kits.

The Lego Friends Vet Ambulance (41086) is a small lego set of the size suitable for a party gift, or a stocking filler. Ideally, it can be used alongside the Lego Friends Vet Clinic, but is still perfectly usable on its own.Construction is easy, and the instructions are clear and well presented. The kit includes 'Emma' to add to your Lego Friends group. It also contains a hedgehog figure. which can be 'saved' by Emma, and various little extras, as seen in all Lego Friends sets.My six year old daughter found that the kit was very easy to assemble, and that it fitted perfectly alongside her other Lego Friends sets. She particularly enjoys these Lego kits, as they add a whole new level to the play value. She loves the attention to detail, like the tiny little bottle that you can use to 'feed' the hedgehog, and the stretcher to carry it back to the vet hospital.Overall, you can't really go wrong with a set like this. It is simple, sweet, but so much fun.

This is really small, but fits in well with the range. The larger sets are all well and good, but I like these little sets because the kids can save up for these themselves and I think they're great for taking on holiday and bringing out as a surprise on a wet day or when they're a bit bored.Anyway, this set is 89 pieces, aimed at 5yrs+. My 6yr old had no problems with it, other than me trying to help where it wasn't needed!!It came with one mimifigure, Emma, in her Vet Uniform, and also includes a super cute little hedgehog that Emma can rescue with her ambulance. Both she and the hedgehog can then sit in the ambulance to be driven off to wherever. There is also a stretcher that Emma can hold and carry the hedgehog on.Lovely bright colours and loads of fun to play with once it's built, especially if you have other sets in the range.

My girls love the Lego Friends range and are 6, 8 and 11. This is a nice little set, very manageable for the youngest, as it is quite a small project and she was able to build it herself. The bigger sets can be a bit much for the youngest I find, so this is ideal. I love that she can follow the instructions, correct herself if she goes wrong and achieve success on her own. It is then a nice addition to the rest of her Lego Friends stuff and adds to her 'small world' play. This is a nice 'add on' and something that kids can save their pocket money for to buy themselves. Lovely little set. Includes one doll and one hedgehog in addition to the vehicle.

The concept of Lego friends may be horrid to those who think in enforces stereotypes, but it still works extremely well as a set. For a girl, who is more about the story than about the building, these sets build up nicely into a soft pallette of colours and are easy to make. There's nothing wrong with encouraging girls to go for the more ambitious "boy" end of the market, but this is a solid introduction to the brand, and likely to make them want to come back for more.

My 7-year-old daughter is really into Lego Friends, and already has quite a few of their sets. This ambulance set is a nice little addition to her collection, and although it didn't take her long to build she has played with it for longer than I expected (mostly due to the cute hedgehog and feeding bottle). She has also been transporting other 'sick' Lego people by standing them on one leg on the back of the ambulance (!)Great as a small gift or stocking filler.

My 8 year old daughter isn't overly into the Lego Friends stuff as it's "a bit too girly!". Having said that, this set is up to usual Lego quality and she sat with her younger friend and completed it within an hour and then they both had a little play with it.It's a sturdy little vehicle with lots of extra bits and characters for fiddling around with and I think it's pretty good value for money for under a tenner.

This is a fairly small box containing the pieces of this cute little pet ambulance. Having reflected on the messages of Lego Movie, I decided to leave the kids to experiment a bit with putting things together. However once the bits and pieces of various vehicles get mixed up, it is tricky to make anything that resembles the picture, oh life is full of such challenges.

Packed well, it's a Christmas present for our daughter, I'm sure she'll love it! Bought for her after we found an injured hedgehog (Spikey) on our lawn and we had to take him to the Hedgehog Hospital :)

This is still unopened as its for a Christmas present but it looks good and my granddaughter will be thrilled. I bought it to go with the Animal Clinic.
