I got this LEGO set for my 9-year-old daughter to build and play with. She gives it a 5-star rating. We also made a YouTube video of the set which we attach to this review to show toy being played with in all its three different builds.This is a 3-in-1 LEGO Creator set. Only one of the three builds can exist at a time. I think it is very clever that LEGO can make three different builds that look good out of the same bricks. If I was to rank the builds then the toy shop with rocket ride would be number 1 with the florist second and the cake shop third. Each build has little details that bring a smile to the face and show that effort has gone into it. For example the toy shop has several mini toys in it – a toy aeroplane,train, truck, bus, LEGO sets, a toy soldier sitting outside the shop – and even the flat upstairs has a nice-looking bed and things in it. The florist has several flowers both inside and outside and is very flowery as you’d expect with a nice skylight to let in light. The cake shop I enjoyed less so.Building time is quite long for each build but gives a sense of accomplishment when done. The building instructions are, as always with LEGO, easy to follow (content pages so you can skip to the desired build too), and the bricks fit together easily and securely (something that we take for granted with LEGO). There are no stickers with the set with the patterned pieces being done with transfers which is what I prefer. There are two minifigures with the set as well. And there is play value here – if you get bored with one build you can switch to another, or, as always with LEGO, make your own build maybe even combining with other sets you have, or maybe building a whole LEGO city with other LEGO buildings and road pieces.The downsides of the set are probably that you can’t have all three builds at the same time, and also maybe that 3-in-1 creator sets such as this are maybe not as good as a set that has just one dedicated build (although that applies more to other creator sets I've seen the pictures of rather than this one as the builds here are really good).My 9-year-old daughter says, "I like how how it is 3 sets in 1. It looks really good. And me and my brother will play with it lots."5/5.

Ahh, the 'lego calm' , the peaceful content that reigns in my house when a particularly satisfying build is under way.My son (he is 11) is so keen to build his own lego town (like in the lego movie but without the kra-gle). Lego buildings be pretty pricey. This one is right at the cheaper end of the scale but I a really impressed with it. building looks great (he was only really interested in the main build of this 3 in 1 set). The ground-floor toy-shop is very cleverly detailed, my son loves the details, with a toy train above the door, a till and some Lego sets on the shelves, it is witty and a lot of fun. The upstairs flat has a balcony and window boxes - it is a nice looking place to live.the top half can be removed if required but the set is perfectly playable as is. It adds a bit of colour and style to our embryonic lego town.The build of course was satisfying and fun - my kids really enjoyed this.In terms of value for money this is one of the best sets that I have come across, you really get a lot in this. Perhaps the price reflects that this might be a gateway build - inevitably leading to larger and more complicated sets, as the Lego town grows. This could hurt my pocket for many years to come.

I mean at this point is it even necessary to review LEGO anymore? We all know that any product with that red,white, and yellow logo on it is going to be made with the same care and extremely high standards that LEGO are rightly famous for. There is a reason why LEGO in it's most basic form has survived pretty much unchanged for decades, and that's because you can't improve perfection. This set is just the same. A load of precision engineered bricks that snap together tightly and easily to allow you to build not one, but three different structures. And when you're bored of those, you can pull it all apart, mix it with any other LEGO you have, and build just about anything else you can come up with.I am in my thirties, and LEGO has been my favourite toy since as far back as I can remember, and there is a reason for that. The LEGO 3in1 buildings are among my favorite sets. They always have interesting designs that can fit into a small LEGO city setup. With a little customization they look great in a full Expert Modular city as well.This set has some very nice details like:Window detailsThe working spaceship rideTile of the original Expert Modular Cafe Corner (found only in 1 other set - Assembly Square)A Lego employee shirt on the toy store workerReally like all 3 of the builds that can be made (only 1 at a time). This set is a great addition to a small LEGO city. I personally love the smaller buildings as they look great, are relatively easy to build and the price is perfect.Eventually I will build out the back of toy shop and add in stairs for the 2nd floor.The great thing is that it is fine as is, but also lets us tinkerers make it our own.

This is a great kit but for £40 I would expect it to be. It is one that would appeal mainly to girls but is not totally unappealing to boys as it takes quite a lot of putting together. It says not suitable for under 8 but I think that would depend on how capable the child is and how much adult help they get. Once constructed I can see children from as young as 4 getting pleasure from it so for a family of mixed ages it would be a great kit to work on together.It is a nice looking , very detailed shop with lots of playability once constructed. It would make a nice decorative play toy and quite a challenging construction so good for something to keep family busy in this time of isolation!As always with lego,the parts are clearly labeled in the instructions and they are simple to follow step by step.

Great bit of Lego which will keep visiting children very amused and occupied when they call around. All the kids who come seem to like building things and this is great. Different models can be made - plus your own versions of course. Instructions are very clear but remember there are a lot of parts in this set so a bit of patience is needed to get started and find the right ones.The box was a bit peculiar - no lid just some thumb areas that you press in to open the side. I'd have thought a conventional box would be better but there you go. Three bags for the parts and the instruction book separate. Oddly enough, two pieces for the base of the models were loose in the box.As Vine items as not exactly as you get in the shop, I'm guessing the packaging may be different than for evaluation items.

I've been a fan of these smaller townhouse builds since they came out. The facades are more colorful than the larger modular buildings. The buildings look more playful and fun. My favorites are the ones that are hinged, so that when you close it, you have a complete building with no open back. I was disappointed to see that this one is not in that style. So while I enjoyed the build and like how it came out, I cannot give it 5 stars because it is just short of being really special. As an adult collector who buys only buildings, I really wish complete buildings with closed backs would become the standard, especially on these townhouses, where we now have some with and some without,no consistency.

My kids really enjoyed making this. There are lots of little things to build for inside (and outside) the shop, including a cool little plane, train(s), as well as an upstairs apartment with a bed, lamp, plants and there are working doors. The rocket has a cool mechanism to make it move and there are two lego people included. Overall it looks good and my kids enjoyed making it, keeping them entertained for about 2 hours, and then for another hour the following day. You can remove the top half to play with the toy shop beneath. The only thing I would have liked to see is the manual being split in to two so that two people could work on separate bits at the same time.

This is the first set I have ordered specifically for my daughter and she absolutely loved it. She is 8 years old and this was the first set she has attempted by herself. She really took to the instructions but did require parental help at certain points during construction of each of the different builds you are able to make with this set. She loved the fact that you could build one thing then had instructions to take it to pieces and build another. It has been a pleasure to see her deep in concentration and getting the little grey cells working. Although I fear I now may have made a rod for my own back as she wants the Lego Hogwart's Castle!

This is really a nice set. Kids built in about 1.5 hours. So far we have only built the toy shop and bakery. The toy store in this set in phenomenal, from the printed miniature lego boxes to the toy trains and planes on display, oh, and also the gum ball machine and working rocket ride. There's too much to say. Add the 2nd floor town house with a bed and floral accents, and it takes it to another level. This had a lot packed into a decent sized set and great color usage especially with the light blue on the 2nd floor. I recently bought the bigger set to this (pet shop/cafe) and cannot wait to build and expand my lego city. If you're into the creator series or building a city, this set is a must!

This is a great Lego set, and I had a lot of fun building it with my 8 year old son. It's simple to put together, but very much enjoyable, and re-building in the three different configurations gives it extra longevity. There's a surprising amount of interactivity in the build's features, particularly all the little features inside. My son usually like Star Wars and Minecraft Lego, but he was really pleased with this set and has played with it a lot since putting it together with me. Highly recommended for any younger Lego fan.

I usually build Creator Expert sets but purchased and built this one with my 5 year old son. I was really surprised at the level of detail which the promotional pictures don’t appear to reflect. I love the plane ride and the little Lego toy details are fantastic. My son loves playing with it. This set would easily fit as one of the rooms in any of the creator sets. I’m currently building assembly square and the toy shop wouldn’t look out of place with that.Value for money is excellent and I would highly recommend this set.

This shop is so amazing. It took ma a little longer because my toddler woke up from her nap before I was done but I have fully enjoyed every single detail and have yet to rebuild it to the other two sets. And can’t wait to do that but will keep it like the first one for a bit since I love how it looks. And so well priced. Can’t often buy bigger sets because of their price and for me smaller sets are a little easy so this one is a nice change for the price! Really really happy about it!

This set was fun to build. My 9 year old built it by herself within an hour and had lots of fun playing with it. Easy to follow instructions throughout. It has great attention to detail. We especially liked the fact that the rocket ride moves. A few very small intricate parts to it which require patience. Great set to play with independently or as part of a bigger lego collection. Definitely recommend and will look to buying more lego creator sets similar to this one.
