The 'Sonic Boom' jet is quite a big model and a relatively easy build (with only a few parts in each step). The pictures on site don't really get across how awesome the light bricks look- it makes the jet look like, well, a jet. The folding landing gear and the opening cockpit (although the front canopy doesn't hinge open like the back one) are nice touches too. I can't say I've built the other sets, as I've been too busy 'flying' the jet around the house, but they look interesting too, although they don't look like they use the light brick as well as the jet model. All in all, a good set, and an especially good set for less than £35.

I find that it is often hard to judge how good a LEGO box will be based on the price. Sometimes the size of the object once fully built is a bit disappointing, or the construction is a bit simple. This one is very good. The fighter jet is very large, and the two light bricks are very cleverly incorporated in the design, along with the opening mechanism for the cockpit. Technically this was my son's birthday present, but in practice we both very much enjoyed building the jet together.We haven't built the other two yet, but they look good as well. Right now my son is transforming the jet into a rocket.

Bought this for our 5 year old grandson. It is very large and impressive - much more than shown by the box illustrations - with many working parts! It was also clearly beyond his capabilities....so I spent a very enjoyable four hours or so building it myself.The only problem is, that I now have to buy more lego because it would look even better with crew members, drop-tanks, and a full underwing weapon load..........Maybe airbrakes, rudder, undercarriage doors...........boarding ladder, refuelling tanker, hangar, runway......Don't get carried away grandad - it's only a toy.

This was on the wish list of my 9 year old grandson, who has since an early age enjoyed playing with Lego. He likes constructing models and then he likes actually playing with them, using his imagination.Knowing the quality of the product from when my own children were young, I knew that here was another fantastic model for my grandson to make. He actually completed making it on Christmas Day.This review should be addressed to the user of the product really, because he could give a more direct experience.

Wow, I purchased this item for my son's 11th Birthday & I must say he loved it! His eyes were on stalks when he open the box and ever since he has kept it at the jet plane for now. Needless to say he is very impressed and I might add this has to be good value for money because if bought from a lego store it would cost another £10 or more. Keep up the good work amazon :)

Arrived in good time for Christmas - it was for our boy. We had to help as he is only 5yrs, which added to the fun of doing something as a family. It took about 3 days to complete and he loved playing with it... thing is it now falls to pieces as it's lego(!!) and so not used as much. Has 3 different models to make up, but we just used the jet. Great fun all round.

i bought 2 of these so my boys 10 & 8 could have one each. they spent months watching you tube reviews and researching it so they knew exactly what it did before they got it and are very pleased. i've marked 3 stars for durabitity as in another few weeks when quite a few pieces have fallen off and disappeared it will just be a pile of bricks in our lego box.

Bought as a Christmas present:something my 11 year old son has wanted for a few years, so decided to purchase as the price seemed v reasonable £29.99! However, I didn't realise prices went up before Christmas too, and was disappointed to find when I ordered that it was now £36.99 and could have been bought for slightly less in John Lewis!

My 9 year old son was blown away when he opened this on his birthday. at first he thought he wouldnt be able to do it but the easy to follow instructions were great and he SAT STILL till it was complete. it looks really good once complete, a defo for small and big kids into lego or/and Jets

You can never go wrong with lego, especially when it's bought at a good price. DS loved it and built it with no help from adults, much to his dad's annoyance. Love the light up bricks. When built Sonic Boom is a decent size.

My son has loved Lego for years and was starting to think that he'd outgrown it. Until he saw the Lego Creator series! This plane looks great and was good value compared to the Lego website.

Amazing lego, my 5 yr old did the three sets with his dad over a few weeks, starting with the easiest and going to the hardest. They had a great time and he still plays with the last plane.

This toy satisfies the early inspiring constructors! Great for the age range and even for the adults! Absolutely would recommend the 3-in-1 lego range,more for your money.

Excellant large piece of lego creator, good fun and fairly easy to build by my 9 year old, looks very good built and lights as after burners, nice touch.

This item has been purchased as a Christmas present so at this time it is still unopened. So I will wait and see how my grandson feels about it.
