The Lego Creator Fierce Flyer (Lego Item #31004) is a medium-sized 3-in-1 Lego kit for making up either a ‘Fierce Flyer’ (i.e. a bird of prey), a scorpion, or a beaver - which are part of Lego’s ‘Creator’ selection. The model set is aimed at children between seven to twelve years old.WHAT YOU GET:Inside the box you get all the necessary bits to make up the following:1x Fierce Flyer / Scorpion / Beaver2x Instruction ManualsASSEMBLY:Assembly of each of the three models is pretty straight forward. The two instruction manuals take you step-by-step through the assembly of each model - the Fierce Flyer over 53 pages, the scorpion over 34 pages, and the beaver over 35 pages. The Fierce Flyer took me and my six-year-old son around 15 minutes to assemble and the other two around 10 minutes each.THE FINISHED MODELS:When fully assembled the Fierce Flyer really does look pretty impressive. The wings move up and down as well as having hinged joints along their length. The clawed feet also move and ‘grip’ objects. In fact there’s a surprising amount of detail on the model. The other two models are slightly less impressive but nevertheless still pretty darn good Lego models. The scorpion’s legs bend and its stinger tail is fully jointed. The beaver’s arms, feet and tail also all move. And each model looks pretty good. But it’s really the Fierce Flyer that steals the show here.SUMMARY:All in all I’d say that this is a pretty good medium-sized Lego Set. It’s nice to have three different models that can be built out of the set (as well as whatever your kid can imagine up). And it has to be said that the Fierce Flyer model itself really is a very good Lego model.

This 7-Up Cake is delicious and the pineapple topping just makes it even better! You could use any frosting you like on this cake but my family enjoys the pineapple along with the lemon flavor.1 lemon cake mix (I used Duncan Hines 16.5 ounce Lemon Supreme Signature Cake Mix)1 (3.4 ounce) Jello Instant Lemon Pudding4 eggs1 1/4 cups 7-up or any lemon lime drink3/4 cup vegetable oilCombine all ingredients and mix well with mixer. Spray 2 (8 inch) cake pans and divide batter. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 35-40 minutes testing for doneness as ovens vary. Let cool and frost with your favorite frosting or the pineapple filling recipe below. Enjoy!Pineapple Filling for 7-Up Cake1 (20 ounce)can crushed pineapple, undrained1 stick butter or margarine or 8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup1 cup sugar2 eggs2 tablespoons all-purpose flour1 1/2 cups coconutMix pineapple, butter, sugar, eggs and flour together. We have now bought seven of these sets, we give them as presents to five year olds. Being an eagle, beaver and scorpion it is perfect; for boys it is a complete change from cars and aeroplanes and for girls a non girlie intro to proper lego building. Our son is way ahead in his two times table as he is used to counting the lego studs in twos. This set forces the children to break up there creations to build the next animal rather than once made it gathers dust on a shelf. Great for mums that are not too enthusiastic about lego. Lovely set, very detailed and good value for money. The eagle often sits on 'the good guys' castle as opposition to the 'bad guys' dragon so it evens the play out!.

This is a really fun set with three good designs. I tend to favour the eagle because the detail on the working hinges is so good that he can flap at any angle, and even achieve a 'perch' look by folding his wings behind him. The feet are well thought out so he balances well and can sit on a desk, glaring at anyone who disturbs you! The beaver is cool too, though Legoafying it gave it a slightly robotic look! The scorpion was my least favourite of them all because he lacked character. The eagle I imagined to be a villain in my Lego collection, and the beaver was the sort of thing Lucius Malfoy from my Lego set would ride into battle...

I would highly recommend this Lego, instructions easy to follow, it's creative and doesn't take long to build..I purchased this for my grandson who will be six in January and although he is Star Wars mad he loved doing this. Lego is by far the best toy for children in my opinion, it is creative, urges this age group to read the instructions helped by each picture, encourages concentration, and doesn't take too long for them to get a result.

This kit was far better than I expected for ten pounds; a very pleasant surprise. The eagle is a large, chunky construction with many useful pieces. I was particularly impressed with the articulation - three joints on each wing, six(!) on each leg and movable tail-feathers makes it very, very posable.I haven't tried making the scorpion or beaver yet, but the main build alone is plenty reason to buy this.

My seven year old grandson loved this - he loves Lego! He made the bird as soon as he opened the box, and played with it quite a lot.He didn't make the other things while he was staying with us, but I expect he will. He and his cousins also 'googled' eagles and found out quite a lot of interesting facts! So, if encouraged by adults, the toy can educational!

I am 41 and bought this eagle after seeing it on an friend's facebook page. Built it in a spare 10 mins and loved it. It was a treat to have lego for me and the instructions reminded me to be disciplined when thinking in 3D.Love the eagle.

One of the best lego kits I've bought my children. The eagle is really cleverly designed so the wings can open and close and talons grasp little play people etc. A great toy.

my 6 year old loves this - was able to build all 3 creatures without any help and spent hours both making and then playing with them. good quality as always from lego!

I wanted this as a gift forMy grandson of 7 who is interested in eagles! I was a bit disappointed with the size! I thought for the price it would have been larger!

This made a great present for my sisters grandson. He is just learning to build Lego and loves making different things from the Creator Lego. Good value for money.

Friends little boy loved this, he built it with ease, before creating his own uses for all the parts. He loved the bendable claws. Great lego set for any lego fan

The box seemed slightly damp but the product was fine and it was what my grandson wanted LEGO is a bit on the dear side but this was the best price I could find.

My 7 year old son is lego mad and he loved this new 3 in 1 set. He prefers the scorpion out of the 3. As usual good instructions and a good size once built.
