Despite already being in possession of an annoyingly happy outlook and carrying around an abundance of joy, I liked the sound the sound of the idea of this book, especially as someone who already enjoys not just helping the kids with Lego and similar builds but also getting unashamedly stuck in on my own from time to time and enjoying it thoroughly. Likewise within a virtual capacity of world-building games, design and simulation games on the PC, I understand the values and rewards that can be achieved through being creative and 'playing' in this way as highlighted in this book, but perhaps that made me a poor candidate for reading this as even though the concept is familiar to me,the logic sound and the desired outcome very achievable, I couldn't help but feel the book was stretching itself a little - it feels more like it should be an extension to something else or a small pull-pit in a weekly supplement or something. But I think for the right person who is currently lacking in what the book suggests developing then this book could be really useful and enjoyed a lot more - but not being of this mindset naturally, they would just need some persuasion, or for you to buy the book for them!

This is a book about mindfulness and how to use it in everyday life. The Lego based activities are a nice idea, but just a means to an end, you could substitute paper clips or blue tac or anything else that you can fiddle with really.I guess what I am saying that even if you love Lego (as I do), you need to be open to the concept of mindfulness to use this book, and I still find it a little hard to swallow. The book is clearly designed for adults but its biggest fan in our house is my 10 year old son. He is a Lego freak anyway - but also, thanks to the school curriculum, he is our resident mindfulness expert. He really enjoyed this book and has started taking a small bag of Lego out with him to help him relax,he can get a bit wound up sometimes so what ever works is a great idea.

What i loved about this book is that it points out the simple basics, that as children we have fun, Play, Laugh and our minds are more positive and happy. As we get older, Our minds can become a little more complex and cynical as life's stresses wear us down. This book is a breath of fresh air, Showing via Lego on how to get back to that state of mind and enjoying life again. It includes some clever psychology methods, But with a unique Lego twist. For a fun child like soul, This is a pleasure to read and will definitely resonate with the kid in you.
