It's not often you find a good toy that has a range of sizes to accommodate different breeds and ages of dogs, but Kong nailed it. You can always trust Kong products this I know and they're all seemingly invincible to damage. That's not an issue with this ball anyway.I bought this with meat flavoured toothpaste, which I squirted into the cracks and then gave it to my dog - she chewed away happily only stopping to lick the paste off her snout from time to time, which was good. I was worried at one point she'd tire out her jaw but she seemed happy. The nice thing about the ball is my original fear that all she would do is lick the stuff out of the grooves proved to be wrong - the grooves areridged and the ball itself is fairly sturdy so her tongue doesn't seem strong enough to pry the rubber apart to get the toothpaste that way, which is great. She's one of those dogs who don't let you near her teeth with those condom finger sock things you can buy to clean their teeth the manual way, and she's also not at all interested in chew toys that aren't balls - like those plastic rings with all the spikes on for example, she never even bothered to sniff it, just ignored it. This ball was a perfect solution for teeth cleaning and worked like a charm. The holes to put a treat in is kind of useful - I've not bothered with mine in all honesty but both sides of the ball have different sized holes to allow different sized treats to be put in, which is good. The ball is also fairly hollow also, so it'd even be possible to fill it with biscuits or something to make an activity out of your dogs play session too. Also, thanks to the treat holes the saliva doesn't get stuck inside the ball and go manky, which is a much appreciated feature.Honestly the only issue with this thing is thanks to the design shape it bounces randomly and unpredictably - I don't advise throwing it indoors if you have objects you value close by. It's also difficult to bounce round corners - something I like to do with my dog from the rooms I'm in so it gets more run time - because of the shape.Other than that though, it seems fantastic, and has remained a favourite toy to her. Great purchase, very happy.

Our Cocker Spaniel loves her stuff-a-ball. She is fed twice a day with dry food and it all goes in her ball. She spends at least half an hour nosing, pawing, chewing and carrying it round the house/garden to release the food. She then goes back round the house or garden retracing her steps in case she's missed any food that fell out without her noticing. Her mealtimes were usually over very quickly but now she has to work for it.She used to get stressed if we had to leave her at home when we went out but this ball has helped quite a lot. We put larger pieces of dog salami sticks inside so that she can't easily get them out and it keeps her occupied for longer..It requires a lot of effort for her to get at them and she tires herself out with all the chewing at the ball. Now when we come home she is much calmer. Before, we would hear her barking loudly, she would be panting, stressed and over excited. Not any more! The ball is sturdy but still squashes well for some satisfactory chewing. It bounces and rolls so can be used as a play toy too. I've found it easy to clean and our dog loves it. I will definitely get another one when this one needs replacing.

I bought this for our young (approx 16 months according to Vets) rescued female Rottweiler just over a year ago. It is still in use and so far has not been damaged by her despite her using it to rub on her gums when she was cutting her 'big' back teeth ( our equivalent of wisdom teeth) and this has stood up to that very well!I make my own dog biscuits now but I did buy dog biscuits when we first got her. Hard biscuits obviously lasting longer.I did try cottage cheese like another reviewer did but I found it too messy and time consuming to clean it or after her toungue had managed to push the lumps right the way into it AND in her attempts to get at every last bit out she did attempt to chewher way through the chew but thankfully didn't succeed.Take note here though to be aware of cheaper versions of the Kong Stuff-a-ball usually with a label which says made in Korea or made in China which should alert you. I am telling you this because I bought what I thought was the real Kong Stuff-a-ball and my Rottie almost choked to death after managing to bit lumps off to get to the liver flavoured kong paste and biscuit I'd put inside

This is a great toy! I bought the large size, which is the right size for my dog. Smaller sizes are available for smaller pets - I have a spaniel. The ball is made from durable rubber. Like other Kong toys I've purchased, it's sturdy and will withstand a lot of rough and tumble - probably just as well for my dog! The ball can be used in various ways. It has vertical grooves which will help your dog grip the toy; but can also be filled with Kong cheese. The ball can go in the freezer like this, extending pet play time. The ball has a cross shaped hole at one end to enable it to be filled with treats. I fill it with half my dog's food in the morning and it keeps him busy for a while! The ball can be rolled or squeezed by your dog to release treats placed inside. This is probably my dog's favourite toy to date. He's a clever dog, but was totally foxed by this ball for the first couple of days. He's worked it out now of course - still, he loves it as you can see from the photos and it provides lots of play time each day. It's not easy keeping a young spaniel occupied, so I would recommend this toy. It's one of the best I've found.

We had been searching for a suitable treat ball to leave with our Newfoundland puppy when she is in her run. The Kong stuff a ball has proved perfect. she is now 5 months & can easily pick it up & carry it around, but it does not have a mark on it. She has chewed at it a lot and it remains "as new".The hole to insert the treat in (unlike a number of other balls we have looked at) is large enough to hold her normal dry food as well as treats so we just put half her breakfast in her bowl & half in here and it entertains her for a couple of hours. There is also a slot fitting so a chew can be inserted for additional fun!She has had it indoors and out - on concrete & grass, she can roll it along on any surface, concentrating to ensure she doesn't miss a single item! All in all an excellent investment we expect her to have for many years to come!Update 18 months on - products is still in one piece and used with enthusiasm - it has indeed proved indestructable!!

My 11 month old gsd likes to chew on this despite me not stuffing it as instructed. I tend to use the black extreme kong for that as it makes less mess (i've found) and is easier to clean. I tend to fill this with dry biscuits and a few treats mixed in just to keep him entertained. He throws this one round the room and regularly bounces it off the walls and furniture so definitely not one for quiet time (but that might just be my pooch). The black one he does lie down with but he will chuck that at the end to get the last bits out so he chucks them regardless. He does chew on this one when the treats/food are all gone though and he doesn't do that with the black one so thats a plus. This one is a lot heavier than the other but as far as Kongs go I find them invaluable at keeping him entertained (he rarely sleeps during the day). I use both on a daily basis and they are standing up to the test of time so well worth the money.

I purchased this for my dog a Springer / Standard poodle mix, named Basil.I put his dry dog food inside and occasionally a gravy bone or similar, Basil loves it it keeps him entertained as he has to work out how to get certain things out. Every day this Kong is delivered to my lap for filling, In all honesty Basil prefers to eat his dry kibble out of his Kong rather than his bowl so he will have 2 or 3 refills a day instead of his dinner in a bowl.Importantly these are easy to wash up and very hard wearing Basil as I mentioned has 2 or 3 refills a day and the Kong is still in mint condition. The Kong he had previously which was identical lasted his a good 18 months.

I got this for a staffie x who has separation anxiety. I put just some small treats inside then wedged a larger biscuit in the top and gave it to him sometimes just as a treat but also before I went out - gradually increasing the length of time he was left. This prevents him from getting hyper before we leave as he is distracted. It rolls quite far and some treats get stuck inside (can be retrieved by a little finger) but this just adds to the distraction value. Like all Kongs it is solidly built and doesn't get destroyed like all his other toys. It's the size of a tennis ball so you can decide whether it is the right size for your dog.

I have a Malinois and he is very destructive with his toys. Most "indestructible" toys last about 5 minutes. He gnaws at most toys until he gets a piece off and then thats it... war over. This is the first toy that has lasted. Because of its shape he can't get it into the back teeth to gnaw. He has great fun with it and i can fill it with treats as well to keep him occupied. I bought the large version (thankfully). I can happilly recommend this for any dog that gnaws at their toys. The only drawback is the rubber squeaking as he plays with it, a small price to pay for a toy that has outlasted his best efforts

My strong chewers love it. It’s soft enough in the teeth to not cause damage. Lots of nylon toys break dogs teeth. These Kong toys do not so are advised by vets.It is however a little too easy for my dog to chew up if left alone so I play ball then remove it to my dogs “‘supervised playtime only” selection. My dogs loves the give in it when fetching it back and loves the ridges in it when having a little chew :0)Great toy but not to be left with aggressive chewers. Not as hardy as the black “ extream chewer” dog toys.A thumbs up for enjoyment for a dog and safe on a dogs teeth :9)

I bought the same version but the small size for a puppy KC spaniel when he was 8 weeks oldwe used to fill it with treats for a long timeAs he grew we found it ideal for holding a raw hide cigar treat he could never choke on the chew as it was inside the ball he loved thisThe only reason I am buying a new one is not that it's chewed or it's worn out its oldHis old one was white and got grubby as he constantly rolled it around all floorsA nice new red one ready for Christmas day I think anything that lasts 2 years from puppy to adulthood is extremely good value for money

We bought this for our 10 week old Rottweiler puppy thinking it might be too big for her but she loves it. She spends ages trying to get at the two or three small treats we stuff into the cracks around the edge and she's already learnt to retrieve it and bring it back to us when we throw it for her. We bought other toys for her to chew but sadly the balls just weren't up to her strength and she destroyed them within minutes leaving small dangerous bits of spongy rubber around. This one is large and strong and will last her for a long time. We certainly recommend it.

Bought the large for our 6 month old labrador x springer spaniel. She has gone through 3 of the originals and so we thought it was time for a change. She has been busy with this one all day! The treats are harder to get out than they are from the original Kong which is great as it keeps her busy for much longer, especially important as she is recovering from surgery and isn't allowed to be too active. Also, she has been chewing it for several hours and there is no signs of any damage yet, she normally destroys her toys in minutes! Would definitely recommend!

I have an extremely insatiable and playful dog, he's large and will destroy anything he finds. This is the first toy of this kind I've bought and I have to say I'm very pleased.Although the leaflet I got with the ball admits that no toy in the world is indestructable (I imagined it would last maybe a day or two) it's been over a week now and he loves this toy, I put doggy treats inside or round the sides and he literally plays by himself for hours. It's a great design, very robust and safe, I would definitely recommend this for anyone with similar dogs.

Easy to fill with dry food. Some can be squeezed into outside ridges but that is better for squidgy food eg pate style or soft cheese bits. Corgi loves rolling it around with his nose to let the food fall out. Easily washed by hand or in top rack of dishwasher. Doesn't hold a great deal but a meal can be divided between this, a Kong classic or perhaps scattered in the grass to make finding the food more of an event, challenge, game. Also takes longer so better for digestion. Helpful for the "leave it" or "wait" command training. Definitely recommended.
