UPDATED REVIEW *** (see below for my misfortune in receiving my first pair and how KNIPEX WITHOUT HESITATION RESOLVED THE PROBLEM)!!!!Knipex have been amazingly considerate. I have used the standard tools from them and to say they're the canonical personification of German craftsmanship would be a good judgement. So when I received 125 Cobra, and had an issue, it was not too much to say this was a departure and cause for concern. I'll quickly run through my problem then tell you how Knipex fixed that. There was such a great lateral movement for this tool that to put it simply, they were not fit for purpose. I was looking to clamp a thin bit of sheet metal (less than the width of the plier head)and not even millimetres in depth so there was a want for flush contact between them. Unfortunately, as mentioned, this wasn't occurring.I began correspondence with them, though in English, so there was a lag that I mistook for them dismissing the complaint. They requested a picture, I obliged, and they apologised and are sending me a replacement! Is there better customer service? It takes integrity to foot the cost of a faulty tool and I'll buy-Knipex for life.Immediate Review 10.09.2014 Pliers came constructed poorly and the two heads do not align. This is practically useless as it needs adjusting when closing or the heads don't grip they simply move up and down. Contacted Knipex and there is no reply. Will not buy from them again if they feel there is no need to contact consumers with a problem.

SMALLER THAT ANTICIPATED! But I take full blame for that for not reading the measurements that's not amazon or knipex's fault.Well I actually carry these along with a Whia pocketstar (a folding set which has hex keys 3-6mm a ph2 and a 5.5mm slotted screwdriver, buy one! You won't be disappointed!) a small adjustable spanner and a Swiss Army knife in my EDC kit which is normally with me when I take my daughter out on her bike as it's pretty old so sometimes I gotta make adjustments or tighten things up on it.From the times I have had to use it they are strong, well made and stay in their set position unlike cheap ones and the jaws show little to no signs of wear and tear. These are good for their size!So good that I intend to get a set of them as there's a pack of three on here which will come in handy at home for plumbing work.

These pliers are unbelievable. They are tiny, but they are so strong. I've watched the vidoes of them on YouTube and thought I'd test them for myself. Clamped them to the top of a small set of steps and locked them on. Stood on them and they didn't budge. 12 stone of weight on the top handle and they didn't slip or even bend. Superb build quality. Yes they're expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you're thinking about buying these, go for it. You won't regret it. Just make sure you realise that they are tiny (125mm) but they are big enough to fit standard plumbing fittings and pipes. They will also be handy for mechanics for undoing bolts in tight places or for removing snapped studs etc. They open up to about 27mm so useful for a lot of stuff. Will definitely be buying the larger ones. 5 stars

These are a high-quality item, as always from Knipex. They are indeed small, one should check the size before ordering. I bought a pair on eBay while ago and realized they were too small for what I needed them. They looked a lot bigger in the picture. However, the seller was absolutely fantastic and refunded me the money, while allowing me to keep the pliers. In the end I have used them quite a few times for small size nuts and bolts, they perform brilliantly. They actually open quite wide, so one can grip quite big fittings with them. I did buy a 250 mm version too, so that I am covered for anything. They grip like a vice and never let me down, although they tend to mark the fitting quite a bit if a lot of pressure is applied.Highly recommended.

Brilliant little things! I keep these in a little tool kit I have for travelling, along with the 125 Plier Wrench. When you see how small these things are you may think they are a bit of a novelty, nothing could be further from the truth, you’d be amazed at the amount of jobs you can carry out with these and for the weight they can be comfortably carried in your pocket. I sometimes carry them in my pocket in daily life incase any repairs are needed.Got to say they are worth their weight in gold in a pinch! It can stand in for a regular pair of pliers and remove nuts so is very practicalI have a lot of products from Knipex and am very happy with all. These are used in most industries and set the bench mark for anything pliers and cutters

Bought these after a recommendation from an electrician. I’d never seen these before and never thought a small set of pump pliers would be useful. But I’ve found I use these all the time. The range of adjustment and the grip they give is surprising. The quality is great and to be expected from buying any Knippex product. The materials are tough and the machining is accurate. you can see they will last for years. I imagine that I will only have to buy another set when someone decides they like them more than me and pinches them!I use these for all manner of things from holding cable for stripping, to nuts and bolts. They are very light take up little space in a toolbox or pocket.

These little beauties got me out of a very sticky situation with a rounded nut on a caliber nut in a tight access spot. Having virtually rounded the nut with conventional spanners and adjustable grip pliers I was about to give up until I ordered this Knipex tool. The sharp teeth are locked in to place by the small silver button which frees up a hand to do other stuff and the gripped well enough for me to get the nut loose.Moral of the story - always buy the right tool the first time. It might be a bit more expensive but at the end of the day I had wasted so much time and these sorted it in minutes.

Firstly, I decided to get these to go with a set of cobra 250's I was buying at the same time thinking they'd come in handy in awkward spaces where you can't get access to small components/fittings (gas fitter). All I'm gonna say is I've used these a hell of a lot more than I could have imagined I would and don't know how I even managed without them! If I ever lost them I'd be replacing them at the first opportunity. The price may seem steep for the size of them but they are well made and worth every penny.

These are brilliant! They grip very well indeed with the teeth in the jaws being sharp and going right to the back of the jaw. Build quality is top notch I don’t believe I could brake them even though they are so small - fit in the palm of my hand - I often need to get into tight spaces and they do a great job. Never having had the brand before and was a little sceptical if the price point but when I got them I could see why, well worth it.May move over to this brand for all my pliers now !

These tiny pliers are outstanding. Capable of tackling bigger jobs than you would expect, they come into their own when access is tight. Perfect for the mechanic that does not fancy taking half the car apart just to get to the point of need. They are also a must for anyone who services domestic boilers as these things can go into spaces that regular pliers fail to reach and I understand they have a bit of a cult following amongst motorcyclists too.

I have pushed these, I used them on a M12 nut in a difficult position and I managed to removed it. I was very impressed for the size these have now found there way into my mountain bike tool kit they aren't the kindest tool on components but when you don't want to carry a lot of weight and your 20 miles from home and you need to fix your bike it's the tool you need.

21.11.2020

For the size it's overpriced, especially compared to its bigger brothers prices but this is invaluable when it comes to tight spaces...yes you won't get the leverage of bigger ones but for tighten or loosening nuts or gripping pipe to stop it spinning whilst tighten something else in a tight space.Highly recommend if you are a gas engineer or similar

A fantastic set of small very powerful pliers I use on aircraft. the push button is positive and accurate adjustment to other sizes is achievable while still working in the same area unlike some other designs. made of top quality steel they have a very good feel to them that you know won't let you down if needed and will last for years.

Bought these for my old man as a xmas present, when he got them he couldn't believe how small they were, said they were really cool looking but he couldn't see himself using them much. Couple of weeks later he came up to me and said he's had them in his pocket every day and is using them constantly. A great buy

Tiiiny but rock solid, very light tool, portable, already proven useful. Bought from seller XPN1, great price, fast delivery, thanks.edit: these have proven far more useful than I expected, even going full gorilla on them they just feel utterly solid and provide a brilliant grip on really hard to reach nuts.
