These have a fantastic range of adjustment and their jaw design grips the heck out of the workpiece. These quickly replaced my channellock-style klein pliers and have become a standard part of my kit. I do, however, miss being able to spin my channel lock pliers in the air like a butterfly knife to adjust them to size. That being said, the small increments and huge range of adjustment available from this tool makes the old way of size selection seem imprecise and thus obsolete.The jaws grip well in both directions, but of course, they grip best when you twist into the teeth instead of away from them. Only through many years of rough work will I be able to see how they wear,

Having owned other sets of grips (Chanellock, irwin) I was looking for something that would stand up to just as much abuse and more.Never has it been more true that you get what you pay for, the quality of the jaws is the best I've seen and the grip of the cobras won't let slip.This will certainly not be my last knipex purchase.

best tool of its type on the market slowly but surely all the best makes have been taken over by the prc with a catastrophic fall in quality knipex remain made in Germany and premium quality I have a lot of their tools they have never let me down.

Great grips, do their job lovely although quick to rust, possibly my fault for not drying and oiling with regular use and contact with water. But the mechanism is faultless and easier to use one handed over the traditional style grips.

I have bought and used Bahco, Irwin, Knipex & Rothenberger gland pliers and these are my favourites. They may be more expensive than the others but they wont fail or annoy you like some others may.You really get what you pay for.

They're alright for what they are. Better tool in my opinion if the grips weren't so loose when not gripping to make the handles less floppy for the sake of adjustment but they're just a basic set of reliable pliers.

Having stumbled across knipex by chance i was so impressed by the quality that I can not recommend them highly enough. A little pricey but on this occasion you do get what you pay for. Big thumbs up from me

I have a number of these in varying sizes-also pliers wrenches. The design, quality and longevity is second to none.They may not be the cheapest-but are totally worth the money.G.

Mental grip, not a pump union in the world that can resist these. I heard fire departments use these to free trapped car passengers, just a rumour but it’s possible.

Perfection in tools is hard to find but this is as close as I've seen. Just get a pair and forget the cheaper versions. These are 10x better.

Knipex is a quality product,I buy the best tools for my work, I have most of the rangeyou only buy quality once,buy cheap & you buy twice

They seem pretty good, but my last pair (Sandvick) did 30 years. So it would be more sensible to review them in a decade or two.

I see these as the Rolls Royce of water pump pliers. So good I bought 2 pairs for doing up large glands as I'm an electrician.

The day I received these is the day I stopped using my blue handled chanel locks. Easier and more ergonomic. Great buy.
