Very happy with these strippers as they have made a repetitive job much easier. I have to strip 100's of small lengths of 6mm single core cable at both ends. Not quite sure why the built in cutter is only for 2.5mm cable though because it means I have to cut my small lengths of cable with another set of cutters, thus it would of been good to have these cut my 6mm cable. The adjustable guide to set the stripping length is a bit fiddly, also if it is set to approx 13mm or more then you will have to physically pull of the waste insulation from the conductor after the stripping action, as it will not be ejected automatically. After a while the jaws stopped springing open after a cut, this was rectified with spraying lubricant into the spring area. I am impressed by the lack of damage to the insulation and the copper conductor, the insulation cut looks very neat. In summary: These lightweight cutters are a pleasure to use.

Initial impressions of this tool are not good. It's very lightweight and feels cheap and flimsy in the hand. However, once you start using it, any misgivings are quickly put away. The wire stripper works very well. i tried it on a variety of wires and cables of different sizes from tiny multi strand wire to 2.5mm single strand wire, and it worked perfectly every time. I saw no evidence of damaged copper, the insulation came away easily and cleanly. The tool is not cheap, but will save you much time and effort. It also means your work will be more professional and - because you will not have knicked and damaged the copper - your work will be easier to assemble and more reliable in use.I suggestyou get one immediately.

I bought this pair of wire strippers because I was fed up of struggling with the myriad of alternative and cheap tools designed to do the job but which do it badly. It's KNIPEX so it's not going to be cheap but I sincerely wish I had bought these years ago, the precision they offer is much better than the cruder alternative designs. I am not an electrician but had a lot of little electrical jobs to do as a result of moving house and these made every job a lot easier. How you can reliably strip the outer sheath of appliance flex without attacking the inner insulation, and then gently and precisely strip the inner insulation from the conductor without just tearing it to pieces or pulling thething in half.

So far so good, I have upgraded to these from a set of side entry "pull apart" type cable strippers. The same style I had ran for the last 20+ years. But I won't be going back to them, as these are mind blowing from a speed perspective in comparison. Also the accuracy you gain from the adjustable depth stop is amazing. It helps when using things like ferrules or molex plug terminals for making sure that they all line up nicely when inserted. No more tearing or stretching of the cable sheath.I really like them, and they are a dream to use on anything from 24 guage cable down to 2.5mm house wiring cable.

Well, quality as expected. Good. But mind that:- Only allows for the length of up to 18mm. E.g. if you wanted to get 2cm of clean wire or get get a cut between wired sections, it wouldn't be possible, unlike in front faced strippers.- Length adjustment is very flimsy and not precise.- Would strip up to 6mm of insulation, therefore can't strip standard 240v cable sheath, only wire insulation. All in all good for a certain profi task. Not fit for the DIY toolbox as a generic tool.

I've been after some decent wire strippers for a while and came across these. They do a good job of stripping the insulation off without damaging the core.Pro1. The bite can be adjusted if you are damaging the core allowing you to easy it back.2. Easy to operate3.Light weight4.Can strip 0.2mm wire and upwards.Cons1. Feel cheap plastic apart from the teeth which are metal.

After buying many Wire strippers bosting good performance and always falling short of the mark, I have at last found one that dose exactly what it says on the “tin”.It strips cleanly on all gages of wire specified, and the depth stop is great.I can recommend these strippers.

I haven't tried this with house wiring cable which might be asking a lot of it, but for wiring model railways it is ideal. You only need the tip of the wire available to be able to cut away the insulation.Expensive but you get what you pay for.

They're a bit of a grey area of sizes, as they refuse to strip anything around or under standard IDC jumper cable diameter, with a relatively low higher threshold. Having said that if the diameter suits your needs then these are very satisfying.

EXCELLENT! Works well on light and heavy weight cables without losing strands-just did complete house rewire with computer Cat 5 cables up to 2.5 twin and earth-worth the money as last one lasted for 10 years !

For those who have arthritic hands this is far superior than the more traditional wire strippers that rely on the users' hand muscles to ensure accurate cutting and stripping. Lightweight but sturdy.

Have had a few cheepo strippers over the years. This one is a lot nicer. Quite pricey but worth it. We should all try to cut down on buying cheep semi disposable tools.

Well made product and easy to use. Managed up to 4mm csa cable easily. No setting up and no ripping of insulation. Much better than the cheaper alternatives
