A smoke alarm is a smoke alarm, that is until you need it! It seems really good quality and is manufactured by a respected company. The idea of having a unit with a battery that will keep it powered until the end of its life is really good. Changing the battery is something that many people often overlook as is replacing the unit at the end of it's life with disastrous consequences. Highly recommended.

It’s fine but has a different diameter and fixing system to the one it is supposed to have replaced so you keep having to drill new holes in the ceiling.

Bought as a replacement for the Nighthawk I had as they are identical. It just slotted into the existing bracket. Arrived on time and we’ll packaged.

Easy to fit and test. 10 year battery life will easily cover the difference in price over a normal battery which is normally replaced each year.

Quite obviously of better quality than the alarm it replaced. I would have more confidence in this product over cheaper rivals. Would recommend.

the fact you can silence it in a false trip is good. a bit fiddly fitting the main part to base, good job you only do it once a year

Well constructed by well known manufacturer, this replaces an 'ordinary' battery Kidde alarm which I have had no problems with.

Only recently installed 2 of them. Both working fine. Only time will tell if they last for 10 years as advertised.

Very easy to fit screws included. Can't confirm how long it lasts but looks good
