I have a small kitchen and have resisted buying kit that takes up lots of space. But I was struggling to do the cooking I wanted to do with a hand held mixer so for me this was the perfect solution. A compact mixer which can be used on the stand or not. I have not used it alot yet but for a bake sale making quick all in one recipes it was brilliant. It didn’t cope well with making buttercream. It might be the whisks are too sharp and the butter too hard. It chopped it up rather than creaming it

I needed a mixer to help with holiday cooking, the specs and price on this fit the bill. I was pleasantly surprised with it.I love the ability to use the hand mixer or have it docked, nice when you are mixing multiple things in different bowls at the same time.powerful enough to knead dough.wish the shield had a spout that you could add things to the bowl as the mixer is running, not that big of a deal, but would've been nice.over all I am really pleased with it and would recommend it.

Bought the Kenwood Chefette because my previous cheap mixer broke after only a year. I like the fact that I can use the mixer as a hand held or attach it to the stand and use it hands free. It comes with a decent sized bowl big enough for average sized cake mixtures but not for large cakes. The mixer is powerful and when it is on the stand it mixes the ingredients evenly in the bowl. It comes with dough hooks but I haven't tried these yet. It is light enough to lift out of my cupboard easily.

I brought this for my mother who does not have the strength to hold a hand mixer for long now. It clicks easily on off the stand, to use both ways. It's very easy to use and clean, even the bowl moves round while using it on the stand. The bowl lid fits on easy too (ideal for holding in iceing sugar dust). As the whole unit is a lot smaller than a normal stand mixer it fits easy on the work top, and it isn't too heavy to lift if you want to put it away. Would highly recommend.

Most people don't need the ultra-luxurious food mixers you see on Bake-off, but if you want a mixer with flexibility to mix and blend for everyday baking this is it. Useful as a handheld for whipping cream, beating eggs or preparing pancake/waffle batter or on the stand for cake mixes, it is so useful and doesn't take up your worktop space; tuck it away in a cupboard, not to be forgotten, keep it close to be used.We bought this one as a Xmas present for a family member.

I was drawn to this mixer for the size and hand/stand mixing options. The overall footprint is a good space saver unlike some bulkier stand mixers that you can't store away in cupboards when not in use. At the same time it has a deep enough bowl to mix a good quantity of cake batter or dough. I love how the beaters are on the side instead of centred as that helps to keep the mix even without leaving stuff to scrap from the edges of the bowl. Bowl spins to mix evenly.

The mixer is good, has a good capacity bowl and mixes well, I like the detachable hand mixer and like the splatter guard so you don't get covered in mixture. However, the fan positioned at the front of the mixer just above the bowl means that if you're pouring sugar or flour into the bowl whilst the mixer is running you'll get covered as the fan blows it all over the work surface or you. The motor is rather noisy too but that's okay if you're not using it all day.

This is a great product which will encourage me to bake more I'm sure. I had a hand mixer which stopped working some time ago and while looking to replace it I saw this mixer. I was very impressed with the price and all the great reviews and decided to buy one.There are two reasons I have only given 4 stars for performance. One is that the mixer is quite noisy and also the hand mixer is quite heavy to use on it's own. Having said that I am extremely happy with it.

Had to buy a new mixer after my previous one broke suddenly. With 2 cakes and 25 cupcakes still to make I went straight onto the argos app. This beauty caught my eye straight away. Collected within 30 mins of reservation (yes I was that eager). It was put to use immediately. I have to say it's the easiest machine I have ever used. Simple and so easy to clean. Plus I got great compliments on my cakes. Would definitely recommend to friends, family anyone really

This is a fantastic mixer. After returning 3 cheaper hand held ones when the beaters stopped turning, I decided to buy a more expensive one, and so glad I did. I use this mainly for cakes. The beaters reach right to the bottom of the rotating bowl, not like some other freestanding mixers. It isn't very noisy, considering its high speeds. The splash guard is a great feature too. It is sturdy, not flimsy at all. Light weight for using handheld. I love it.

I bought this product and tried it out. I was very disappointed with the results of the mixer took it back to Argos and asked for a replacement only to find that the first mixer above was damaged underneath the bowl. The replacement product works well for the price and does what I want it to do but can’t afford the more expensive models. The mixer does need @. It of a helping hand to mix ingredients properly otherwise it is a good product for the price

I love this Kenwood mixer, it is so smooth, I have been using an old electric mixer for years, I just don't know why, the Kenwood is luxery to me. I only wish I had bought one sooner. The mixing bowl is great, and a plastic cover, for when wisking, is great, I usually get covered in something, but to just switch it on and cover it , is lovely. I would recomend it to anyone who likes baking, which I have done a lot more of on lockdown.!!!

The last mixer I had was a Kenwood Chef with the liquidiser etc. I used it for forty years on a regular basis when my family was at home. The only replacement I. Ever had for it was a bowl! I passed it on to my daughter who still uses it today, with the same motor still going strong. So needless to say I was not disappointed with my recent purchase of the smaller Kenwood Chefette.I have no hesitation in recommending Kenwood every time.

Great little machine, that I bought to replace my hand held mixer that gave up the ghost after 15 years of service. I love the ability to use as a hand held or as a stand machine. As a general cake baker and home cook this is perfect for me. Easy to use and to clean up afterwards. The splash guard is a great little addition for wetter mixtures. Overall I’m really pleased, it functions as expected and is a no fuss machine.

I've used this for about 3 cakes in just a couple of weeks as it's so easy to use and clean. It's also so compact that I was able to carry from the shop on the bus and it doesn't take up much worktop space. My toddler loves watching the ingredients mix together as it goes round and the splash guard stops us getting covered in flour! The bowl is nice and light for pouring cake mixture into tins and washing up afterwards.
