I'm impressed with this hand-blender for the following reasons. The interchangeable beaters and dough hooks are very easy to swap over (click into place, push-button release). The electric cord is a good length. It's a comfortable appliance to hold (I tried several others that were quite heavy before plumping for this one). And the motor runs well - no sense of it straining or overheating on the higher settings.True, it isn't in the polished chrome or brushed steel that is currently en-vogue, and it doesn't come with a recipe book or any fancy packaging, but it's reliable and good value. I use it to whip cream, as I always find that an arm-ache inducing task manually (2 mins on low),and to make quick cake and pancake batters. Not flashy, but very much a 'does what it says on the tin' product.

This really is excellent value for money.Although it only has three speed settings, those speed settings are well defined. I have previously had mixers with 5 speed settings, but speed 1 and 5 were very similar, and speed 1 was not nearly slow enough. Here the speed 1 is an appropriate starting speed for beginning to mix a cake batter for example, and speed 3 is plenty fast enough to whip cream with ease. The mixer is very light and easy to use and clean; the beaters can be put in the dishwasher. The mixer also stores excellently; the cord can be wrapped round the base and clipped with the supplied cable tidy, and and beaters can be clipped onto the body so the whole thing stays together. The item feels good quality, and I'm very pleased, would not hesitate to recommend.

This was just what I was looking for to save me having to get my food processor out everytime I just wanted to mix up something quickly. I was attracted by the make as Kenwood has always been in my family kitchens and I have not been dissapointed.Range of speeds is good and being able to stand it on end whilst in middle of mixing is great. Very compact in cupboard due to the attachments being able to be clipped underneath for storage and the wire clip too.Only minor downside is the switch to change speeds isn't that easy - sometimes you click it too far but so minor I still give it top marks.Even my 7yr old can use it under supervision to mix fairy cakes etc

I have previously owned the 220Watt Kenwood Hand Mixer but the internal gears broke after a few years but my mum had one of these mixers and it's been going for years so I stuck with the brand because I could still use the old beaters. This mixer is light, easy to use, it stands on it's own, has 3 proper speeds (not 5 speeds that just sound noisier) and has decent beaters that are not flimsy. (And they're easy to lick!)I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good quality and good value mixer for light use, I don't think this mixer would last very long if it was regularly used for making dough or other hard-working mixtures.

This is a replacement for one my husband misplaced during a recent kitchen renovation. I searched high and low for an exact replacement as the original did everything I needed in a hand mixer. I love my stand mixer but for whipping cream, mixing batter for quick breads, sponge, and some types of biscuits, this mixer simply can't be bettered. Push to eject beaters button where it should be as is the slider speed adjustment - thumb either to eject or adjust, could not be simpler. Love the attachment clip for the beaters so mixer and beaters are never separated when not in use. Good instruction pamphlet and does have one recipe included.

I actually bought this product to give to a friend who is getting married soon as I explained it proved the most singularly useful and helpful gadget I in turn received as a wedding gift 5O years ago - long live the Kenwood Chef hand mixer! It has been used to make souffles, christmas cakes, pancakes, sponges, brownies - smooth sauces - the list is endless. Absoutely indispensable when it comes to making ramangues (as my 4 years old grandson Rory insists on calling them. It`s hilarious to hear him wrap his tongue around meringue - especially when he`s busy stuffing one into his little mouth! I`m just passing on the love.

This really is a fab piece of kit. Proper brand, well built and easy to use. The speed control goes from slowish to pretty fast, unlike the cheap junk ones that go from fast to spinning with such force they open a black hole if you leave it on too long. The only negative is the useless mixer blade clip - in this day and age, Kenwood, you should know better than including a useless piece of plastic that is only fit for the bin. That said, hopefully this mixer will outlast all the other junk ones I’ve gotten through in the last couple of years. I recommend this device to you.

My Wife enjoys making muffins and tea cakes but was finding it harder and harder to whisk in the ingredients, partly due to a now mended broken wrist that is still not perfect, so she did a bit of research and came up with the Morphy Richards blender, which is a name we trust from other kitchen utilities. She was not disappointed, it is well designed so you can rest it on its back whilst doing other things and the 3 speed button is conveniently placed to flick up and down as required. So full marks, it is perfect for our use and has really made things easier for her.

I have been looking to place my last hand mixer and gadgets which gave up on me a few years back. The model I had was no longer on sale so after reading the great reviews, I decided to purchase this one.At the moment I've only used it for cakes and have to say that the results have been great. The mixer is light to hold and easy to use. I do tend to jump from speed one to three so have to push back to two but it doesn't cause a problem. After using the beaters are clipped to the mixer and the lead and plug are wrapped round the mixer making it easy to store away.

Never used an electric hand mixer before but am really pleased with this Kenwood HM220. It feels really comfortable in the hand and I love the 3 speeds. Makes whisking and beating so much easier than by hand. Whilst making a cake, I did manage to get some of the mix in a couple of the little "vent" holes on the front which was a bit difficult to clean out but I must have had some on my hand which I then managed to smear onto the front of the Mixer, so be careful about doing that. Apart from my stupidity, I would highly recommend this lovely Hand Mixer.

I originally looked at another model, read the reviews for this, saw it was on offer and so opted for this Kenwood Speed Hand Mixer instead. It's great value and does exactly what I expected it to. I have used it lots of times already in various baking and it's worked a treat. The differing speeds 1,2 or 3 are a real asset. It's easy to use and maintain so I am very happy with my purchase. Kenwood have a superb reputation; I would definitely buy this product again if in the same situation and I would highly recommend it!

The motor is more than powerful enough & the three speeds are good. That said the first speed could have been a little bit slower but it’s not a product spoiler. Really good cable length, which is something a lot of manufacture seem to skimp on nowadays. Like the way the beaters can be clipped onto the machine along with the cable rapping round the base & then clipped in to hold it there, makes for tidy storing. All in all a very well thought out mixer that does the job effortlessly & at a very reasonable price.

I bought this by recommendation of a colleague who said it was by far the best hand mixer she had used, and to top it the price was right.I used this to mix my 4 year old's Birthday cake. I usually spend the time mixing this by hand, but using this cut down the time spent preparing it, and the result was excellent. It has hidden strength for a compact machine.Easy storage the cable, and blades fit into a holder, neatly fitting to the holes where the blades clip into.Well worth the price.

Good mixer which, unlike some out there, will happily sit on its flat base. Not the most powerful out there, but does the job well and the speed settings are easy to change. Much cheaper in Argos than at one of the main supermarkets at the time I bought it. My last identical Kenwood packed up after approximately 2 years of light useage as the motor kept jamming (husband may get around to trying to lubricate it as it does still work once freed up), so I hope this lasts longer. Ok for the price.

An efficient product from a reliable brand, this mixer performs well and is easy to use. Easily selected variable speeds accommodate tasks expected from a hand mixer and it is not unduly heavy in use even for my arthritic hands. I had the similar model and make as a wedding present 44 years ago (yes forty four years ago) and even though it was used at least once a week it's only just come to the end of its life. Hence my reason for choosing this item again. If it's as good, it'll outlast me.
