I've only had this little gem for a few weeks now and i'm beginning to wonder how i managed without it. Straight out of the box and all you need to do is rinse and plug it in. It's compact in size so doesn't take up precious counter top space. Its looks are sure to fit in most kitchen style. This soup maker is really so simple to use, simply chop up your ingredients and chose smooth or chunky. Smooth takes only 19 minutes, and lunch is ready. There's even a handy recipe book to try out. I was very happy and surprised at the temperature, and the consistency really is very smooth. There's also an extra blend setting should you need it.If you fancy a change you can make smoothies,i'll be trying one soon. One of the best things , which is normally the worst, is the cleaning up! Just rinse and wipe and it's good to go.I can highly recommend it

When a friend bought a soupmaker I mocked. However I can honestly say I have ate my words - or in this case my SOUP. My Mum had been ill and needed healthy, nutritious food that was quickly and easily prepared so I bought this soupmaker. She absolutely loves it! It is so simple to use and homemade soup is ready in less than 20 minutes. It is easy to clean and takes up less space than a kettle. I was so impressed I bought one for me too! We now swap recipes and spread the word to friends, family, neighbours and work colleagues how this soupmaker will change your meals and life. To put it simply - it is SOUPER! Great new addition. Very good size for small families, two / three bowls of fresh soup. Very easy to use and control, no more pots boiling over on the hotplate. Can be made smooth, chunky or blended somewhere in between. The neat size is great, not taking up much room, the lid is very easy to lift off by the strong handle. The jug is easy to pour or wide enough for a ladle. It holds the heat for a good length of time. Found it really useful for using up veg, which I might not have done using a pot. Easy to clean which is a plus, no unscrewing or taking a part. Have still to try with fruit, but that is for another day, having fun trying different soup.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and tried it as soon as it came out of the box. I had some tomatoes that were past their best and so tried the roasted tomato and basil soup recipe given in the book.Took 30 mins to prepare due to roasting the tomatoes onion and garlic, but in just less than an hour I had a delicious bowl of hot smooth tomato soup and some for the next day. As I am the only soup eater in the house I wanted something that would not overwhelm me with quantity and I found the ideal thing. Brilliant. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have the Total Control soupmaker which is really good but what I was finding was that I was making far too much soup for my (single use) needs so this Compact Soup maker is ideal for me and so I would recommend it for the single / retired person who basically just wants to make fresh soup for one sitting. I would add that this 'Compact Soup maker' will be an ideal present for elderly people as they will not want to make large quantities, freeze excess amounts, and use the many different settings on the other soup makers.

Bought this on recommendation, use it weekly, bought another for my parents. It’s very easy to use, simple instructions. Makes soup in 21 mins. Great for using up all those left over veg. Keeps the soup hot for over an hour. Quiet when in use, bleeps when ready. Choices of how you like your soup, smooth x thick, chunky etc. Haven’t made a smoothie yet but this is another option. Well worth the money x not another gadget to be locked in the cupboard. Highly recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I got a soup maker for Christmas! I have used it several times since! It’s been brilliant and so easy to use! It’s brilliant to use for a variety of things, I’ve made gravy and soup. Love that I can have chunky or smooth soup too! Easy to use and clean! Rather than having a pot on the oven and a blender you can put it all in one pot and it will do it all for you then you can just enjoy what you’ve made and it’s easy to clean once you’ve finished! This is my fourth MR soup maker not due to them breaking down but because i have used them constantly. Although my second one did break after eleven months but had no problem replacing it due to the generous warranty. They are simply a must have as you don't have to stand over the stove constantly stirring. The different functions means you can have smooth soup without having to get your blender out and creating loads of washing up! Love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Love this! So quick and easy to chop stuff and chuck it in. Soup in 20 mins. Beeps when it’s going to liquidise to warn it’s going to be a bit noisier and beeps when it’s finished. Easy to rinse off/clean when finished. It’s a smaller capacity than others I’ve seen but it does enough for 2 people easily. If you need more it’s so quick you can rustle up another batch in no time. Only thing I wasn’t sure about there isn’t much difference between the min and max amounts but it wasn’t a problem.

Recently became Vegan and now I can make quick and easy soups or smoothies with whatever I can get my hands on. So simple just roughly chop the veg and a stock cube and some water and press go. 20 mins later I have lovely hot soup. The quantity is perfect for two. I'm also saving money cos I'm not throwing away as much fresh produce. Especially fruit. It says not to put ice in, bit I've used frozen fruit with no problem. Easy to clean, just run the blade under hot water and rinse out the jug.

Sent as a gift used immediately it’s addictive now making all sort take around 20 mins and you’ve got fresh soup for at least two people for a large bowl and up to four as a mug and sandwich. Not tried a meat soup yet but would recommend.Be aware the chopper is a bit noisy but you get used to itYou need to have a plate to take the lid and chopper when you are serving as the chopper/ lid cannot go into waterGood device would recomend [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I make lots of soup but no more standing over a pan! Yes you still have the chopping & prep to do but then switch on and leave it. I have tried smooth and chunky. With the chunky setting I find it better to blend slightly at the end of the cycle otherwise it looks like chopped veg in dishwater although it still tastes great. Just personal choice! The only disadvantage is that I have a tendency to overfill and the sensor just cuts out and it won't work. But remove some veg and it is fine.

I just love this soup maker. So much easier than boiling in the pan, and then transferring to be blended. Couldn’t wait to use it, but when bought, I only had a few tomatoes and onions in, but not a problem, first recipe in the booklet was roasted tomato soup, and in no time, I had made my first perfect soup in the soup Maker. Have since used both settings, smooth and chunky. And pleased to say very happy with both. So easy to use, and make up your own recipes too.. highly recommended!

It is a fantastic purchase although not suitable for families only for a single person or couple as does not make enough soup - you need the same make model but the larger version. I wish I had purchased that although citrus were doing it at the same price as this one at Argos not so long ago . The bigger one is more money at Argos presently. I would still recommend this - but to the right people and not people that need to make soup for 3/4 or more people -one or two yes but no more.

I love my soup maker and it makes lovely smooth or chunky soup I have not tried it for anything cold yet. Sadly since I bought it I have seen it cheaper in other places which is quite unusual being as Argos is always the one to beat. Is not overly big so so it is easy to store and makes enough soup for 2 to 4 people. I have wanted one for a long time but did not want to go to the expense but I am very glad I bought it. My my only gripe is it price in comparison to other places.
