I am a long term TEVA sandal wearer and have gone through many a pair over the last 30 years or so but I have been disappointed in the quality and design of TEVA sandals recently and I have been looking for a replacement.I first saw these H2 sandals in an outdoor shop in Pollenca town in Mallorca while on hols recently and when we left I immediately wished I had bought a pair there and then. On my return to the UK I researched the sandals on the web and decided to buy directly from Keen in the Netherlands via the Keen UK website. The sandals were £79.99 with free delivery and a robust returns system so I ordered a pair in India Ink/Rust. The website advised that the sandals were running half a size small,I am a female with a large, wide foot, usually wear a mens 8 to 8 and half, so I ordered a size 9 hoping they would be wide enough for my foot. I was not disappointed. The sandals fit perfectly and I have a little space between my toe and the front of the sandal for walking downhill. the sides of the sandal are fixed to the stretchy material underneath so there is enough flexibility in the structure of the sandal to allow for swelling or tired feet or when walking on uneven terrain. They are light and instantly comfortable.I wore them shopping to my local supermarket with socks and jeans on the day they arrived! If you are dithering to order, go for it, but order a half to one size bigger depending on foot width. You wont be disappointed!

I usually wear 11 2-4E shoes when I can find them. New Balance and Danner are two brands that make sizes for the 'ample' foot. But neither of these suitable for any sort of water related sports where you can stay wet for days at a time. I have crewed on large schooners (which requires a lot of foot planting for leverage), jumped off the dinghy and into goo towards a Carolina shorewith my Keens. Perhaps the greatest stress on these shoes was a kayak launch at low tide, and slipping into 3' deep mud along the banks. Pulling a leg out and retaining the shoe is an accomplishment that Crocks in particular would fail.I have previously had the leather version of these shoes in the past, and snagged 3 pairs over the years. Yes, when its over 90 and your foot has been in the leather version all day, it can get a bit ripe. I always used Simple Green to scrub the soles and saddle soap for the leather. Really looking forward to the all nylon version for even better performance.I keep mine loose, so making a diagonal traverse up a slope that puts a lot of sideways force on the shoe can result in slippage in wet/muddy grass.I will be on the alert for problems with stitching as mentioned by a minority of reviewers, but havent had any problems with these shoes for years.

I love these sandals. I wear them hiking and kayaking in the Colorado Rockies; I've also taken them to Costa Rica and Panama, where they really excel in the outdoors. I even wear them casually in the suburbs while I walk my dogs. I played a game of impromptu pickup basketball once as well. They are good for myriad situations! If I'm not mistaken, the hard rubber soles are made by Vibram (even though this doesn't seem to be marketed by Keen explicitly)... They are virtually indestructible. I've walked over hundreds of miles of sharp mountain rocks and the soles barely show any wear. I've had a few pairs of this model over the past decade, and have always been satisfied. The only derogatory thing I could say:They do tend to be weakest in the stitching near the heel. I know how to sew and I often remedy this before it becomes an issue; nonetheless, that is a point worth mentioning. In my estimation, if this product is going to fail, it's going to happen somewhere on the stitching. If you wash these in the washing machine with the old-fashioned agitators, be sure to use a gentle cycle!

Incredibly comfy.I bought these to replace a pair of similarly styled sandals. I'm impressed with the footbed and how it handles rough terrain.I would give them 5 stars except for two issues -1. The first time I wore them for an entire day - which was not the first time wearing them - each sandal wore deep blisters into the instep of my foot, behind the ball of my big toe. I didn't realize the blisters were there and had been rubbed raw by the sandals until I took them off that night, seems strange, I know, but I didn't have any pain while wearing them. They took a couple of weeks to heal, and since then I have built calluses in the rubbed places. I wear the sandals regularly now and do find them comfy.2.These are hot sandals. This is not to discourage a shopper, but know that in my experience they seem very hot, and my feet sweat a lot more in them than they did in my previous pair mentioned above.I'll buy them again if Keen still makes these when I wear them out. My last pair of Keen Boots lasted me 5 years though and now they don't make that model anymore.

This is my third pair of these sandals and at this point I can only comment on the sizing. The first pair I bought were size 11; they lasted maybe 7 years before the soles wore out and there wasn’t any damage to the stitching or upper when they died. The second pair I bought a size 10.5 because the first pair felt a little too big. They lasted about 3 years before the suede trim by the ankle on one sandal ripped. I kept them another two years and got rid of them mostly because of their appearance, the sole was worn but still had some life left. They were still very roomy. I just got the ddye8 color in 10.5 and they’re the best looking pair yet. The sole is still the same and I expect them to last as long as the soles on my other pairs. However they definitely feel tighter, closer to my foot, than my previous 10.5s, almost like they’re halfway between a 10 and the old 10.5. I’d prefer the roominess of the old 10.5s but they’re still comfortable enough to keep. Hopefully the stitching will hold up a little better than the last pair.

The most comfortable footwear I own is a pair of Keen walking boots. They're immediately identifiable as Keen; large rounded and roomy toe box, wide footbed and the big rubber toecap - and these sandals carry on all those design cues.Maybe "design cues" sounds a little bit trivial; I mean that these things, like the boots, are functionally designed to fit the human foot properly (especially those of us with wide feet) rather than being designed to look good and expecting you to jam your feet into them somehow. They are well-made and well lined; I've worn them without socks and there are no irritating thread ends scratching away at your skin, or threads rubbing skin into blisters. They're solid enough in the sole to provide excellent protection and the big toe cap is great for protection from stones, sharp rock and trip hazards.Extremely comfortable. Not elegant. A lot lighter than they look. Tough. What more could you want on your feet for walking and just for slobbing about? Thoroughly recommended.

I purchased these shoes before a trip to Alaska and the Canadian Yukon and ended up wearing them almost exclusively during the entire 10 day trip. They fit as expected, though I have definitely made use of the adjustable strap to make them fit a bit tighter than most people probably would. Given the loops on the top and back, they're very easy to take on and off without being loose. While being solidly built, they still maintain enough flex in the middle to help walking over uneven terrain. The open construction and materials let this shoe dry out very quickly even after being completely submerged for an extended period. The only downside I've experienced is that small rocks and dirt tend to sink to the middle of the shoe and it is difficult to clear debris from there without taking the shoes off to brush them out.All in all, I've really enjoyed these shoes! They can't be beat for outdoor trekking and are comfortable on short and long walks alike.

Thank you store! The only negative, lack of opportunity to choose as a delivery service something other than Russian Post ... I would like to avoid contact with this service. KEEN trekking sandals are exactly what I've been looking for. Hiking shoes either do not get wet for a long time, or dry quickly. I am an ardent supporter of the second option, no gore tex technologies save when you scoop over the edge, it happens. A modern trekking shoe dries by the end of the hike. Therefore, I have been looking for lightweight shoes with a well-damped sole for a very long time, which will allow you to move comfortably with a heavy backpack. And found. These sandals extremely successful design.Very comfortable sole, sit tight on the leg, do not move anywhere. Pleases the presence of finger protection. I am sure that these shoes are suitable for difficult conditions. I plan to check it out in the tundra, beyond the Arctic Circle this fall.

My husband bought these based on a recommendation of the KEEN brand from a friend. He raves about them and now so does my husband. Very comfortable. Nice, tight fit. Appears durable. He has even jogged in them. The range of KEEN sandals ranges from this one up to well over $100. These seem to be a great value. Maybe the more expensive ones are even better but it's hard to imagine how.Addendum: Bummed that the sole started separating at the 3 month mark. I went to the website and filled out the form (though there was one part where you're supposed to put some sort of number that doesn't exist) and they credited me for a brand new pair which were shipped and in my hands in 2 days.Apparently there was a bad batch of glue in one run of these shoes. I got a pair for my brother and nephew a month later and they have had no problems at all. Good company.

I purchased these shoes/sandals primarily for use on a boat. I decided to wear them around the house to see how I liked them and now they are my go to pair of shoes. I wear a ladies 11 and ordered the men's 10 based on the centimeter lengths on the size chart. My left foot is a half size smaller but is still completely comfortable. I found the brindle and Orion blue about 30 percent lower than other colors so bought those to try. I now own a second pair! They are not an attractive shoe by any stretch. I put them a notch above Croc like shoes in appearance. I have average feet in width but very high arches and find the arch support very comfortable. I ordered my exact shoe size (11 ladies or 9.5-10 men's)and they fit perfectly. Will report on boat performance once I launch the boat in late Spring.

I bought my first "Bisons" (Newport Mk 1) in 2007 and just devastate her specs to the most extreme of her limits. Bottom line: even though they are still up and running, it was time to start a smooth turn-over. This time including a new pair of Bisons and these H2 as well. This are AMAZING shoes : top quality fielding of a great design. If you're any version of Globetrotter...go for them.Just one warning : the "fiting" comment stated by Keen is quite a point. Take care, and purchase -at least- half notch up the size you have. An adequate balance in size is very important so as to allow a correct bare-feet fitting as well as enough room for some good pair of tecno-socks. If you reach that balance, you may wear this ones as an all-in-one shoe from the beach to the snow. Thanks Keen !!!

With all the complaints about size, I went to the local REI to check what size i needed. They had the shoe i wanted, and i asked for my size to try on. I wear 10 1/2. 10 1/2 was a perfect fit. So that's what i ordered, and they fit. The reason i ordered them instead of getting them at REI was price. $99.99 there versus $76 on Amazon. They were running a sale on women's keen sandals though. They had a pair of Clearwaters in a size seven, which is my wife's size. So she tried them on and they fit perfectly. We bought them there because on sale they were $20 cheaper than Amazon. So, so far, two for two on size. Haven't had a chance to really test them out,but have been wearing them to work every day and no complaints on comfort.Very happy with my purchase so far.

Got a great deal on the shoes. Have wanted a pair for about a year but could not make myself pay the $100.00 retail price. Finding them for 40% off helped me to finally purchase a pair. Boy am I ever happy!I have worn these now for about three weeks almost every day (I took 2 days off for some big appointments at work). Great build. Super comfort. Ventilation! Whatever they do to control odor really works. So far the have been worn in the office, to (and in) the lake, wading in the creek, in a rain storm (finally) and around the house. I really love these shoes!I agree with the others' comments about ordering a 1/2 size larger that your normal size.I followed their advise and it was jussssssssssssssst right.I am now a huge Keen fan.

Great shoes, non marking on the boat, very supportive, drain well, easy on and off. They're a bit heavy for an open shoe but that's because the sole is very robust. I can wear this shoe all day. Here's and example... work on the boat getting it ready for a day on the water (walking climbing) , spend the day on the boat fishing offshore (bouncing fishing), reload the boat at the ramp (in the water to hook boat to trailer), drive home, unload and clean boat+fish (climbing, walking, wet). I'm not a young guy at 65, so comfortable shoes are important. In addition I've spent a day walking and hiking in these shoes with no discomfort. If the shoe was lighter it would get 5 stars.

I needed some water shoes for a hike with multiple stream crossings and did not want to constantly change from boots to sandals. I bought these with the assumption that I could leave them on for a few miles on the day we had to keep crossing the stream. These held up great and dried quickly. They are super comfortable and I ended up wearing them around camp. I'm not a huge fan of the Keen look, but for camping/hiking/beach I don't know if you can find a better multi-purpose shoe. Amazon had these for $45 when I bought them so it was a steal considering REI retails them for $100 and Crocs cost around $35 but don't provide the durability that Keen is known for.
