I love my Arroyo II Keens and was looking for something with a lower sole that Might feel more like a sandal than a shoe. I found these online and really hoped to find them in a store to try them on but was unsuccessful with that. Being Keen's I thought what the heck, I'll take my chances considering the positive reviews. These sandals are very minimalist compared to the Arroyo's. Very low sole and lightweight. That's fine because that's what I was going for. They're very good looking and I do like them, I just wish they were slightly larger. I wear 10.5 in all shoes and went with that size on these also. The first thing I noticed when I put them on is that my heal was at the very rear of the sole and there was absolutely no room left in the toe area.My wife even noticed how my heel was at the very edge and asked if they were big enough. If these shoes were a couple millimeters smaller they'd have to be returned for the next size. I checked my Arroyos after I received these and discovered those are size 10. Sure glad I didn't base this purchase on my other Keens. I can't agree with other reviewers about these being the most comfy shoes ever, that honor goes to my Arroyos. Maybe the size makes them less comfortable but I've only had them a week so we'll see how they wear long term.

I bought these for a trip to Europe this year. This year? ! Well - thanks to Covid-19 it's not going to happen, so I've been using them for short walks and in the garden. The size 11 for me is spot on, and I am a wide size 11. They are very comfortable - they feel secure without any nipping or rubbing points. Openings on the side keep your feet cool in hot weather and the fit seems to stop small stones from entering too.The external foot grip is very simple but seems to work well even on slippy surfaces. The quality of construction is very high. When I have used other sandals of this design, the webbing seems to start to come out of the heel and whole sandal begins to disintegrate from there. There is no chaffing from the heel strap which is un-adjustable,but you can tighten the grip of the sandal by using a bungee cord tightener and retainer mechanism that seems to work well (in other words, it does not loosen with use). So, I intend to keep using them and I promise I will pop back to tell you how I have got on. Honest! But so far, so good. They look to be excellent value for money- but I'll be back.

I don't know where to begin with these! I had never owned a KEEN product before and wasn't sure if I wanted to purchase them. I just returned from a 2 week 224mile backpacking trip in Yosemite where the very first day we were caught in a thunderstorm at Nevada Falls. My boots became soaked in a matter of minutes and took 3 days to dry. Not having any options I decided to wear these KEEN CNX's which I had brought purely as a water shoe. I AM NOW A KEEN FAN FOR LIFE!!! I did wear them with wool hiking socks but I ended up wearing these for the first 92 MILES of my trip! You read that correctly! These ended up being more comfortable than my boots, gave me a greater range of motion, very light for what they are, the tread is still very much there, and they didn't cause any blisters because any sand of pebble that got in couldn't stay in one place. My socks did get worn out much faster but that was a small price to pay. I can't stress enough how comfortable and durable these shoes are. If they can make it well over 92 miles of some of the roughest terrain, image how well they would be as just water shoes!!!!!!!!!

I bought these after trying several other pair in a store. The store didn't have my size so I looked here and of course Amazon had them. I was a little worried since there aren't half sizes but they fit really well. Also I have been skeptical with these types of shoes since there is no sock (at least I don't wear them) worn with these and I was worried that they might rub parts of my feet raw, they don't. Now I get that every one has different feet and what works for one may not work for another, but these were pretty soft inside with no protrusions like where seams come together that rub me wrong. All of that and the fact that they are made by Keen make these a great shoes.I am new to Keen but I will say my first shoes (boots) I bought by them were brand new when I did a 10 mile hike with them, they were just as comfortable as a broke in pair of boots. Keen makes some really quality products as far as I have seen. The reason I gave them only 4 stars is the price, there is no need for them to cost nearly $100.

This is the second time I buy these exact sandals. I am normally a 10.5, but I find that 10 is better for me here. Since the center is made of leather, they stretch over time, and the 10.5 becomes huge and floppy. The 10 fits perfect at first and then just a bit loose over time.As for the thin sole - After having other Keen's before, these scared me. I thought I am just walking on the floor, and was worried about going with this on rugged terrain. Now I realize how amazing it is to feel the terrain below, to be just enough protected from the elements and yet be naturally connected. There is enough sole to keep you protected and comfortable. These are also much lighter to pack and travel with.It anyone from Keen reads this, please consider changing the leather center to fabric, like the rest of the shoe. This is the part that becomes loose and stitches don't hold as well.Enjoy!

very nice summer footwear. My wife purchased this prior to our vacation to the Philippines. I liked this shoe because it was shoe-like enough to wear with socks in the mall and be achy enough to go bare foot in the sand. The shoe is comfortable and is good for long walks and hikes without sore feet. The only discomfort I had with this shoe wads when I drove a car for 6 hours... the side of the shoe doesn't fit well when you rest your foot on its side (like in a long car ride) as there is a slight bulk of material that makes your foot sit at a slightly-off-from-natural angle... That said, as long as you are not taking long car drives in this shoe you will love it in every other summer setting.Oneother thing I love is the quick pull on design (the top is elastic supported and can stretch easy to get foot in there). This is especially nice for me as I have wider than normal feet.

I really like these. I wore a friends Keen Newports for a few hours on a recent river camping trip. I fell in love. I noticed his were size 11 US, and I usually wear a 11.5 or 12 in most shoes. When I put then on they were a little snug, and as I wore them I realized that's exactly what you need if you're gonna be active in a shoe like this. If not they're gonna move around on your feet and cause blisters or poor performance. When I started shopping for my own pair I liked the minimal sole and styling of the CNX compared to the Newport. I ordered a size 11 based on my prior experience with the other pair and the fit was identical. They perform well, the closed toe is very nice of you're very active in them.I've spent many hours wading in a rocky river fishing, hiking, riding bicycles, and casually wearing them and I can't imagine anything being as versatile.

Good fit, acceptable comfort, above average durability. The sole is a little soft so it does not protect from nails or acacia thorns, but otherwise no complaints. After 6 months of daily use on the trail and in the water, they held up very well. I have now had them for over a year and recently they get only occasional use, but they were left in the bottom of my skiff the whole time, exposed to sun and sea water pretty much constantly, and they show absolutely no signs of deterioration. I would definitely buy them again.I like the rubber toe, it protects me from accidentally kicking sticks or rocks or whatever might be poking up from the ground. On the beach they get plenty of sand and rocks in them, but that shakes out in the water fairly easily if you leave them just a little loose, and the looseness doesn’t cause any comfort or performance issues for me.

I hate wearing shoes, especially during the Summer; these shoes provide me with the next best option compared to going barefoot like a hippie. The "breathability" is great, as is to be expected of a shoe made of straps. The neoprene outline ensures comfort around the blister-prone regions, and the rubber toe is great for a klutz like myself, who drops things on their feet on a daily basis. I wear these proudly wherever I go, but truly enjoyed them when I floated the Guadalupe down in New Braunfels this Summer, where I triumphantly climbed many wet, algae-covered river boulders. They created awesome tan lines on my feet, too.My only complaint is they seem to run a half size too large.I normally wear a 13, I think a 12.5 would be perfect.

Been trying really hard to get sandals which fit. The cheaper "Chinese branded" sandals have all been spot-on for length but have been impossibly narrow and have been returned. This product may be made in the far east but is clearly designed for British feet. Fine for width but for me right on the limits for length on one foot. At the price its needs to be "perfect" so I am returning the 9 for a 9.5. The 9 was a little difficult to put on because there is no give in the ankle strap. Once on, length excepted, it was very comfortable. Looking forward to the 9.5. These look very smart.Update: The size 9.5 arrived. Perfect fit. Light and comfortable. TBH, at the price they need to be.The only footwear I have which isn't a size 9.

I originally was wearing the Newport H2 but wanted a similar shoe that was less clunky. The CNX was exactly what I was looking for. It's light, flexible and can be slipped on and off. I wore it every single day in the summer for hiking, taking out the trash, going out with friends, etc... It's open and light enough that I'm getting the sandal experience but still conceals enough of my feet that I don't feel out of place wearing it into restaurants. Two things to look out for however: it WILL get stinky after repeated day after day use. The smell is not bad though and the shoes can be washed. Also, I had to go a size higher than normal. Those are beside the point though, because it's an absolutely great shoe.

These are my third pair of Keen sandals. The other two were the Newport series. I live in Florida and do a lot of boating and always in and out of the water. These are much lighter than the Newports and dry off quickly. I regularly wear them all day and my feet feel wonderful. I still love my Newports but tend to wear them when hiking and walking. My only negative comment would be these run small. I usually wear a size 8 but I ordered a 9 and they are snug. Since they are always wet I don't want them sliding around and being loose. As usual Keen has delivered another outstanding product. Pretty much all of my foot wear is Keen from sandals to boots & shoes they are all top notch and can be wornall day.

These sandals are fantastic - can't fault them. They completely encompass the foot without tightness, never chafe and can be worn in water or over rough terrain without compromise. They've got a neat heel strap and a sturdy toe bumper to prevent stubbing and can be worn immediately on long walks without any 'wearing-in'. A great plus is that you can wash them as well - in the washing machine! I've never actually done this - I usually just wash them in the sink with some hand-wash soap, gently scrubbing the footbed with a toothbrush to get right down to the toes. Lean them up against a sunny wall (heel-down to let the water drain out) and they'll be dry and ready to wear again in no time!

My normal size 9.5 becomes a size 10 in these. By comparison I reckon they are just perhaps a touch smaller fit than Merrell Blaze sandal but possibly not enough to make a difference in size choice for me. However, they are a clear half size smaller than Karrimor. Also the Keens are a slightly narrower fit than either of those others, which makes them very comfortable for me. I got them for casual, beach and house wear, for which they are perfect. If I was going hiking in them I might have been inclined towards the Merrells which have a slightly thicker sole. The Keens are a bit tight to get on, but you get used to doing it and means they fit snugly once on.

My first pair of Keens. Wasn't sure about choosing the CNX versus the traditional tried and tested Newport. In the end decided that the lower more natural platform and lighter weight had more appeal. So far these sandals have exceeded my expectations. Build quality is excellent. Extremely comfortable for my EE width, (a concern going in). Bungee closure works brilliantly, leave them loose just walking around, then a quick tug when I need more support for rocks and water. Have been in and out of salt water frequently, quick fresh water rinse and they dry quickly. Traction is excellent on wet rocks, canoe hulls, and no marks on boat decks. Highly recommend.
