I suffer from peripheral neuropathy and find walking increasingly difficult. I'm soon to take a long trip around the Southern hemisphere, with a fair bit of walking and have been looking for a pair of sandals that would help and support me. Having read reviews on many different shoes, I decided upon the ECCO Women's Offroad Athletic Sandals as they seemed to give the support I was looking for without looking too frumpy.Ordered on Friday, they arrived well packaged today, Sunday, (2 days later). It so happened that we were having a family get together at a park, with beautiful woodland walks and so, taking walking shoes with me as back up, I wore my new ECCO sandals. I wasn't sure how far I could walk with the family,

I was told years ago by my brother that Ecco shoes were good. I have had that in that back of my mind but found them rather expensive and not that many stores carry them locally. I was on a trip last month where there was a discount shoe store that carried the brand. I tried on a pair of the Yucatan Sandals and liked them but they were out of my size. The last pair walked out the door as I came in. When I got home I went on line and found what I wanted at Amazon at an even lower price than the discount store. I bought them for a trip I was taking to New York City where I would be walking all day every day.The Yucatan came through with flying colors. They are comfortable and held up in the rain too.

These sandals are fantastic. My cousin told me she loved them and had walked all over for 2 weeks in Italy in them last year. This year she plans to wear them all the time in Paris. I bought a neutral colored pair and have worn them several times this spring. I liked them so much that when I saw these cute red ones on sale, I just had to buy them! They are equally comfortable and look great with denim and red tops. As far as the fit is concerned, I always wear an 8 or 8 1/2 or a 38 or 39 in EU sizing. I initially bought my first pair in a 39 after trying them on. But somehow the arch and my heel seemed to be in the wrong place. So I went to my local Shoe Mill and tried the 40.

I just bought Ecco Jab two straps sandals last week and they fit like a glove, extremely comfortable.I wanted another pair in navy and bought these Ecco Yucatan sandals. They are much more rugged and not as comfortable as Jab. The design is almost the same though the heel part is lower than Jab's. The difference is in execution, the Ycatan sandals are not as soft. I am not sure if I should keep them. I usually buy 7 or even 7.5 due to the width. Since the Ecco sandals have three way adjustments the 6-6.5 are just fine. If I would not have Jabs, I would have given them 5 stars. If you are in your late sixties like me, Ecco sandals are a must. I was sick for a long time and started walking again just couple of weeks ago.

I bought a similarly styled Yucatan (brick color) last year, hoping I would be able to use them on my month-long Greek trip. I have a really hard time finding comfortable AND stylish walking shoes, and wearing flip flops for long is hell on my feet and knees. They were great for everyday shoes--good support, comfy, and looked good, too.I've worn them at home since, but wished I had them in a color that would go with any colored outfit. When I saw these advertised, I grabbed them. Same perfect fit (I wear anything from a 10-11, depending on the brand and style of shoe) and I got the 10 here) There are multiple adjusting straps to make them right for you...and did I say how comfortable they

I flew back from Colorado and the lady sitting next to me had these sandals on. I immediately noticed that her sandals were cute and the toe bed was not very deep. I have very long toes and I'm always looking for a sandal that does not expose the entire length of my toes. I ordered the shoes the next day and just now got them and I couldn't be more happy. I have a narrow foot and with the 3 adjustable straps, I was able to get a good fit. They are so comfortable, they feel like they were made just for me. The lady mentioned on the plane that they were a bit pricey---well, they are absolutely worth it! My only regret is that I can't thank the lady on the plane :-)

I bought my first pair of these sandals from a mall retailer. I have wide feet, and have no luck usually finding shoes " off the rack" so to speak. I usually just order online to get wide width. I walked all over Walt Disney World in those, and finally said good bye after a good ten years of wear. I did not recall what size the original pair were....I ordered a 9, which is my usual size, and they were too small. Ordered one size up, and I'm back in business. These are not cheap, however they are an investment, in that they will last for years. Ecco knows how to craft footwear that is both comfortable and looks good too. I highly recommended these sandals.

Comfortable fit and to walk in but only given four stars as arch support is minimal and, though the description calls them wedges, they're not. There is no height difference between the heel and toe due to the cushioning effect and it's therefore the same as walking on flat shoes which, for me, is agony on my calf muscles when walking my two dogs uphill. Great on level ground and uneven surfaces, well cushioned on soles and straps. All three straps are Velcro controlled so easy and comfortable adjustment, stylish and great quality. Fairly expensive but worth it on the whole but wouldn't, personally, buy again as not suitable for me during hill walking.

I love these shoes. I do have to add some orthotic pads to increase the arch support, but I have plantar fascitis. That said, these sandals have much better arch support than just about any other sandals I have tried.And they are super comfortable, totally adjustable. Can be worn without socks in the summer, with socks when it gets chilly...but I live in California where chilly is not very chilly.I wear them for days when it rains. Again, in CA we haven't had many of those days, but they are so much more comfortable to walk around in than cumbersome boots and they dry right away when they get wet with NO damage at all.A great all-around sandal.

I have searced a long time to find a comfortable sandal that also provides arch and ankle support. I LOVE the Yucatan ECCO shoe. Ihave tried a coule of other styles and they are also well made and reasonably comfortable, but the flat Yucatan is the best for all day walking. I have a hard (thick) foot to fit. these are great becouse they hav three adjuctale straps. The also "give" a little with wear making an even better fit. They seem a little pridey but the are very durable, so in the end, they are a better bargain than lower priced shoes. Thank you ECCO, do not stp making this she. thank you Amazon, for making it easy to order them.

I am really enjoying these ECCO sandals. My sister has a pair and she loves them too. They are so comfortable and feel like a part of your feet in that you don't even really notice them. They are very comfortable, provide support and I can wear them all day. I am 53 and I have to have shoes/sandals that are comfortable and supportive. I can't buy cheaply made shoes anymore. These are worth the price and I would purchase them again. I even like the style and the color options. They are great for wearing around the house or going on walks or a hike in.

I love my Ecco Women's Yucatan Sandals! I have very wide and nearly flat feet (like a duck) and sandals never fit me because to get them to fit my foot, I have to buy shoes that are a full size to short so my toes stick out. These shoes are totally adjustable and I can take them up enough that they fit really well. However, they are at the maximum adjustment to fit my skinny feet. I've gotten so many compliments on these shoes which is unusual for me since I either have to wear boy's shoes or shoes that are obviously too short for my long toes.

I discovered these brilliant sandals in Scandinavia while on holiday in 2013 and bought a pair...like other customers have said, I put them on in April and take them off in October. They’ve survived scrubbing, disinfecting (after not looking where I was stepping!) and miles upon miles of walking in all sorts of terrains - and after six long summers of hard wear they are still going strong, and still look good as new, despite being white! Have just ordered a duplicate brand new pair for when they eventually wear out, while I can still get them!

After reading a previous buyer's comments that she didn't need her own arch supports in the sandals I have gone ahead and bought a pair. I also wear my own insoles in most of my shoes, but with sandals it's not so easy. They arrived today and I have to try them out on a walk yet but the moment I put them on; so comfortable; no chafing, good webbing round the edge and yes a good arch support; better than some sandals and very good anti shock soles. So at the moment a very satisfied customer. I'm 69, worn discs, but very active lady.

I'm extremely overweight and have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in one foot, so I'm not exactly planning to go off-road hiking in these, but comfort and support are both very important in any day-to-day walking sandal. I've always loved Ecco's, and these are no exception. They're very attractive too; the photo suggests that the two brown tones contrast more than they actually do. The icing on the cake: a week after I got them on Amazon, I wore them into a Comfort Shoes store in South Florida and found them selling for $90 more!
