It is a truly lovely kettle. Arrived quickly and was packaged ok. A bit small for my use, but nice looking. Was surprised, after heating it up on the gas stove, when getting ready to pour the water into a cup that the whistle fell out (this was only my second try using it) and I noticed that the plastic holding the whistle had melted a little bit. So as lovely as the kettle is, I am sending it back. I'm sorry about that because it is made in Germany. Have found something that will suit me better.

My old kettle leaked and I wanted to replace like for like. Its a good kettle. Stainless steal makes it scrub proof. A little small 3 mugs will empty it so will need to replace in time for larger gatherings. Lid very stiff to remove so not the best for those with arthritis or such. The whistle is so quiet you can barely hear it.
