This game does have a very solid story line which i for one have been waiting forever to come across. The idea of two different Bond film villains and their minions in all out conflict...is superb. The MI6 Agent who lost his eye becomes reckless and leaves MI6 to seek revenge. He joins Goldfingers organisasion and even gains a replacement for his human eye...the 'Golden Eye'. A robot eye designed to aid you in seeking your revenge. It can see enemies lurking behind objects, it can tamper with electrical equipment etc...the idea is sheer genious. The range of weapons and the ability to choose which hand to pick up a weapon and use it is great. It brings an almost endless choice of weapon combinations.The fact that you permanently have a gun either in your hand or in your holster which never runs out of ammo is also brilliant. These are the ideas everyone thinks of whilst playing games such as the original Goldeneye but never before have we seen these ideas put to good use. People who complain about this game for reasons such as; you cant jump, your character is mildy slow in turning round to shoot enemies behind you....thats not what these games are about! You couldn't jump in the original Goldeneye and there were many points where James Bond just wouldn't turn around fast enough to kill an enemy...but it still became a classic.If someone has put you off this game by telling you how bad it is, i think you should still give it a go. I have heard so many people describe how bad this game was...how much of a dissappointment it was...how it should be forgotten and never mentioned again, but i went ahead and bought it and i'm so glad i did. The multi-player is also superb. with a wide choice of inspiring levels.

All the reviews and the critics of this james bond are horrible, but i don't understand why. i find this gamne quite good, a lot like halo, which is good because halo's the best, but they copy alot. the storyline has nothing to do with the other james bond that shares the same name apart from the caracters. the absence of vehicules in this game is quite annoying for many players,even me. in revenge, the gameplay is a lot more realistic but alot like halo, again. this game has nothing to do with the old golddeneye that had so much succes. This is really because the devlopers are completely different so rogue agent is a lot more like agent under fire, everything or nothing and nightfire.in conclusion this game is not so bad,including the gameplay that's realistic, has no vehicules, is a lot like the other james bond on xbox by EA, has a lot copied from halo and has nothing to do with the old goldeneye on N64.the multiplayer isn't very good. the absence of bots isn't a good idea and the xbox live isn't very good (compered to halo 2)If you want a good shooting game with a good multiplayer buy haloif you want an original james bond with vehicules and gadjets buy everything or nothingIf you want a realistic shooting game with a good multiplayer buy counter strikeif you want a shooting game a bit like halo, a bit realistic, without vehicules and for 1 player without multiplayer or xbox live buy thisif you want to waste your money buy harry potterif you wwant a football game buy pro evolution soccer 4

Before you play this, try to forget that the 1997 Nintendo game was called "Goldeneye". This game is completely different.Graphics: 9/10The graphics in this game are beautiful. The weapons, environments and enemies are all superbly detailed. An important feature, is that Hong kong actually looks like Hong Kong, and that a shotgun actually looks and sounds like a Shotgun.AI: 8/10All of your enemies and allies are usually quite intelligent. Your allies will help you storm the Hoover Dam, and your enemies will blow things up to try and stop you.Controls: 6/10The controls take some time to get used to, especially the weapons system. One annoying thing, is that you can't jump for some reason,which is usually a fundimental part of any game.Gadgets: 8/10An invaluble tool and gadget in this game is your Goldeneye. Depending on how well you have done on previous missions, you can earn upgrades for your Goldeneye. These include the ability to see through metal, the ability to make your opponent's weapons to malfunction, and the ability to deflect bullets.A great addition, are the Machine Traps. The best of these being the ability to stun an opponent, through them in a sauna, and lock the door.Gameplay: 9/10The gameplay is undoubtedly great. Whether you are firing rockets at airships, rampaging through Fort Knox or throwing goons out of windows, the gameplay is probably the best part of the game.Overall : 40/50Overall this is a 4* game, with some areas to be improved, but with a lot to be praised.

To tell you the truth i thought this would be the worst mistake made ever taking on the title goldeneye which is known as one of the best games ever made for the N64 but the game is very good do trust the reviews on game mags the game really is good it is action packed brilliant graphics and really intelligant A.I known as the E.V.I.L engine the game may not be as good as the original but it isn't as bad as i thought and goldeneye (the main characters codename)is a really cool character while you battling it out you feel really cool while blasting people (i think its the way he spin's his gun's or something like that) the story isn't very strong but the gameplay makes up for it and the soundtrack is awesome as well.Make no mistake this game isn't as good as the original (who really thought it would anyway) but it pull's the bond franchise to a new level if your think of getting a game were stealth is a dirty word then get this you will not be let down.

I'm going to keep this review short. I got this game for christmas and didn't rush to play it. Like I thought, this game has nothing to do with the original Goldeneye. I preferred this game to "Agent Under Fire" because it doesn't faff about with unnecessary gadgets.I was hooked after giving this game a fair go. For example, I haven't yet gotten into Wolfenstein but this game was it, for about a week's worth of labour there on. This is one of THE MOST difficult games to complete, that I have played as of recent. The levels get excrutiatingly painful, relatively soon and this usually turns me away from a game. This was different though. I felt the need and the wanting to actually complete it and I did.It was very difficult but I now have gained a sense of achievement after having completed it. Don't listen to the stuck up 'critics'. This game is sweet!

i thought that this game was good in some ways and bad in other ways for example,the graphics of explosions are brilliant and u beign able to be bad for once in a game but it onlyn took me 4 hours to complete on the hardest setting, but it is great fun to play all the less //(great when bond dies)//the bad side is the time it takes to complete it and that u can re heal which makes it far to easy to win but then u do need it for the shere amount of enermies u face.your eye is a brillient wepon letting u create force fields,gravitational pulls looking through walls etc it is great.u can have about 200 wepon combonations and can also knock enamies unconsious and then use them ase a shield or hurlthem into there mates well i wont spoil it any more for u but i hope u will now run out and bie the game just to experience the stunning game play...

while the game is not technically a masterpiece it succeeds in where most first person shooters fail on handhelds , the game is fun to play and has a variety of crazy weapons and modes with enough replayability to last a long time . The main campaign is linear but quite challenging and actually very much reminds me of the original goldeneye, the double weapons are great and really turn you into a machine , game runs very well with very little slow down even with a lot on screen. Loads of featured characters and an interesting storyline , the only downside is the graphics do not push the limits of the ds but overall are good ,also at first movement controls takes some getting used too but its easier done with hand rather than stylus and eventually becomes second nature.Overall very good game definitely worth picking up at such a cheap price

i do agree they shouldnt of called it golden eye 2 as it is nothing like the 1st one,however this is the best 007 game since the original golden eye lots of weapons and upgrades ect stacks of enemies to blast and quite a grown up game,it comes in 2 discs and at the moment i am plying it on easy mode and this is quite difficult,it is very fast paced it is the best 007 game since goldeneye 1,one of the best games,along with the 1st zelda game that there has ever been,i feel a 5 stars is worthy as they have really put in alot of effort with this game and i am really enjoying it .

Yes it may be Goldeneye 2: Rouge Agent but don't take this the wrong way but the original was a classic but this is just wrong. Some news was heard that they were going to bring the original back out or do it up but no they do this. The game has alright graphics, storyline and gameplay but I remember when I got my N64 I played on the original for ages and I loved. Even today I still think it is the best 007 game around. But sorry 007 but this doesn't please.

Golden eye 2 for the game cube I remember the day when me and my friends spent hours playing on its predersesor on Nintendo 64 it was widely acclaimed that it was one of the best multiplayer games of its time and by far the best bond game to date the latest bond games since golden eye have been a massive let down I only hope golden eye 2 will live up to the Nintendo 64 version

Goldeneye is the best bond game and the best nintendo 64 game ever, this game should beat everything or nothing and will if it is as good as the nintendo 64 version. I encouraged my mates to buy a nintendo 64 console for this game, and now it is coming out on ps2 hopefully the graphics will have been improved.This game is a must buy for every bond fan!!!

Ok, it may not be a sequel to RARES PERFECT N64 Goldeneye 007 but this is one of the best EA James Bond games and typical you end up being the bad guy though! But please try it, it is good, but, when you get to the controls, change it to classic setting, thats much better!!! Believe me!Oh 4 player is fab!!

Goldeneye Rogue Agent is excellent.Every time I get home from school I just can't recist turning on my cube and playing on it.You can have two guns,one in each hand,grenades and much more.
