I had the pleasure of visiting the Glengoyne distillery - before the tour I had not heard about them. I was a bit skeptical and assumed they made a tier-2 product. Boy, was I wrong - this has become my favorite whisky - it is exceptionally smooth, has very light hints of vanilla (?), making it is very, very drinkable.Out of all their products, the 12 YO is my favorite, once you go up to the 18 and 21 they store them in sherry casks, which makes it a tad too spicy for my taste.Since that visit I have spread the love, coworkers and family alike are now also very fond of what comes out of the independent, Scottish distillery.

This is a seriously good whisky, if you have a lot of experience with Highlands and Speysides it might not jump out at you as a particularly unique malt straight away but you soon learn to appreciate its quality. There's a lot of malty sweetness yet it's also incredibly clean and crisp. It has quite a subtle and nicely balanced sherry cask influence and it's packed with complex citrus fruit flavours with a touch of creamy fudge and toffee. The flavours on the nose seem to amplify on the palette more so than than most other whiskies and the finish has a good length, a truly wonderful dram.

I grew up in a country where "whisky" meant "Johny Walker", "Four Roses" or, at best, "Ballantines". So I was not a big fan of whisky. Until, that is, I was driving past a Glengoyne distillery in Scotland and took a tour with tasting. I immediately fell in love. Glengoyne has taught me to appreciate whisky and to this day remains my most favourite. If you are into very peaty whiskies, then Glengoyne may not be for you, but if you prefer the finer tasting kinds, then you may fall in love just as I did.

I have to say that this was a very pleasant surprise. I'd just finished a bottle of Glendronnach 15 year old which is one of my favourites and then moved onto this one and, although not quite in the same league I have to say that it was really good. I'm really enjoying it and will definitely buy another bottle. I'm only giving it 4 stars for flavour as I am reserving 5 stars for something really special but for the money I think that this is a really good.

This was a gift for my husband. We visited the Glengoyne distillery last year and after running out of what we brought there, was pleased to find it available on Amazon and at such a great price. This is a smooth single malt and should be drunk on its own or slightly watered down with water. The delivery from the supplier was also good and extremely well packaged, which I was concerned about. Excellent.

This is one of my all time fav drams. For round the 30 pound mark you simply can’t go wrong. The smell is complex and there’s enough happening in the mouth that you won’t lose interest. I always come back to this. Lovely everyday evening sipper. You won’t be disappointed. Better then aberlour 12, glendronach 12 and glenfarclas 10. This is your 30 pound everyday drink for sure.

Love this Whisky, we visited this distillery in April and I must say having visited countless distilleries over the last few years this is one of our favourites and this Whisky doesn't disappoint, it's lighter than some of the older offerings but by no means any less worthy of the beautiful Glengoyne label. But BE WARNED this is very easy to drink and hard to resist.

Tried both the 10 and 12 year old Glengoyne. Both are excellent whiskies but I recommend you spend the extra money and get the 12. It’s natural colour and 43% ABV which makes a positive difference to the taste (the 10 year old is at 40%). Can be drunk neat or with a few drops of water. Not peated. Picked this up for £32 in Jan 2021.

Glengoyne claim that they are the distillery that distils at the slowest rate. The whisky is certainly smooth. They also have no peat.Aroma: clean, malt, grain, toffee fudge - definitely no smoke or peat.Taste: light, smooth, toffee, fudge, slightly sherried.Finish: medium length, malted grain and sherried fudge.Good stuff.

Beautiful single malt, very easy to enjoy as in dram or multiple. She sneaks up on you after snifter or 2 and gets your right merry. Flavour is delightful and very smooth with a great long finish. Only negative point is 70cl isn't very much, BEST BUY 2

Visited the Glengoyne distillery and so glad to be able to find this whiskey online as it is not found in any supermarkets. A very smooth and tasty single malt with no peat. My husband loves whiskey and I'm not a fan - but even I really like this one!

I have wanted to try something from the Glengoyne distillery for a while after it was recommended to me from a whisky aficionado mate of mine.The 12 is brilliant. So deliciously citrusy and smooth. Very eager to browse the distillery catalogue now.

Had never tried this before but took a punt and bought it when it was on offer. It's a delicious smooth whisky with sweet caramel tones, no smoke or peat. I see the price has shot back up now no longer on offer but I would definitely buy again.

It's the original Glengoyne whisky. My husband and I once have been at this distillery and had the tour with degustation. We totally fell in love with its taste, that's why we have already ordered this whisky twice and will order again!
