My gf and I really like single malt, and have fairly similar tastes - except when it came to 'fiddich. I've always been a fan (the 18yr old is one of my all-time favourites), but she's not been so sure. Until now. This is a beautiful whisky which hopefully will become a standard part of the Glenfiddich range. A little bit of warmth and spice with orange and raisin flavours, and so, so clean. And unlike most whiskies, completely drinkable whether you add ice or not (I usually drink it neat). I have no idea exactly what impact the IPA casks had, but the result is the realisation of everything I like about scotch single malt. We've had 3 bottles so far, and I'm thinking of getting another soon - which is most unlike me,

I didn’t initially like this, but on returning to it after a few months I do find it drinkable now. It does have a different taste due to the IPA element which I guess is to be expected from an experimental drink. I still prefer the standard 12 year old but at least this will not go to waste. Will suit some palettes more than others but that could be said of any bottle.

An outstanding experiment by Glenfiddich. The presentation alone is worthy of a mention, with an attractive case and bottle.The whisky itself is a glorious golden colour, with a complex aroma and superb flavour. It is sweet but has also a strong taste of the hops from the IPA, making it very moreish.The only problem with this single malt is that its too easy to drink!

Fantastic tasting whisky and very easy drinking. I usually go for more sherry finished but went for this based on consistently good reviews. The IPA is subtle and not sure how much it brings to the party but something has gone right with this whisky. Will certainly buy again. And probably again...

For an IPA Experiment, this is extremely nice and smooth. Possibly one of my all-time favourite scotch whiskies that I have ever tried and will probably get more from Glenfiddich now that I have finally gotten something by them.If you're a fan of scotch then definitely try this!

A little bit overpriced for the quantity and quality, but it's novel and Glenfiddich is a name people know so for birthdays / xmas / fathers day this is an excellent choice. It tastes lovely, but not the best Glenfiddich has to offer

I bought this as a present for my partner he hasn’t opened it but defo would say i got my money’s worth and came gift wrapped in a sealed container as picture really am happy with it, I have no idea about the taste though

A birthday present for our son who loves both whisky and beer. The taste is great, can actually faintly taste the IPA from the fermentation process. A great unusual gift, can recommend this.

I got this for my dad who loves it. The only down side is now he wants me to get him the rest of the project X series :-) but the up side I know what to get him for his birthday

I sampled it at a Nicholsons house. 8 quid for a double.It tasted like a whisky with a very slight aroma of vanilla.No IPA taste for me.I will stick with Whyte & Macay.

I'm not really sure what to say. I was maybe expecting more flavour and more wow, but really... It's just a nice smooth whisky that does the job, but doesn't wow you.

I bought this for my brother in law and he likes it a lot! I had tried it at a whisky tasting fair and found it very interesting and unique - yet surprisingly good.

I love this whiskey, touch of ice, understand blasphemy for some but of all the scotch’s I have drunk this is by far the most drinkable, dangerously so.

You don't get a massive IPA flavour, but nonetheless it is a very tasty whisky and the attention to detail in the bottle and top is a nice finish.

Not to my taste but a very nice and well made whisky, personally I prefer the fire and cane one. Worth trying the experimental series.
