I've had a few bottles of this now and it is a lovely, smooth, easy drinking whisky. The 12 year old Glenfiddich is the type of whisky that somebody who doesn't drink whisky will probably like (massive generalisation I know) but once you've been around a bit and I'm now in my early 40s you realise that it's a bit harsh around the edges and that the taste doesn't really linger. This 15 year old is a completely different beast. MUCH smoother. MUCH better on the tongue - you do actually get notes of honey and vanilla. Very easy to drink, it just goes down and down and down. For the cost over the standard 12 year old, this is much better value and a much finer quality of product in my opinion. The 18 year old Genfiddich is also a lovely tipple, but again for the additional cost I don't feel that you get much more.A lovely, smooth easy drinking whisky.

Gelnfiddich 15 is a really nice dram. It's not the most complex whisky in the world, but nowadays, there are few 15 year old bottlings available for around £30-35. Matured in bourbon and sherry casks, the interesting thing to me about the 15yo is you get a far greater smell & taste of fresh fruits, rather than the dried fruit & christmas spice of a sherried whisky. Like the 14yo, it has one of the most pleasant noses of the 20+ single malts I have tried over the last few years I've been keeping notes. There's complexity too, with a spicy finish, but not too much of the bitterness that European sherry oak can bring. It would be nice to see a higher ABV on this to see whether it would bring out even more flavour, but for the price you really can't complain. A new favourite!

I thoroughly enjoyed this whisky (in fairness, I can say that about most of the bottles I have tried). But in all seriousness, this is a well balanced whisky. The flavour is rich, the after taste mellow and the whisky is very smooth. Pound for pound Aberlour 12 is the better whisky, however when price is out of the equation then this is superior for me.I have had 2 bottles of this, and I enjoyed both with my partner who also shared my sentiments regarding the flavour. For her this is the best Glenfiddich, though I am uncertain. What I can say is that, for the price (I paid £39), this whisky is superb, well balanced and would make an ideal gift for the whisky drinker in your life who you don't want to spend too much on,but are happy to stretch to £40-50 :)

There are several different Glenfiddich options out there- amongst them and widely available- an IPA, a 12, 14, 15, 18 and 21 year old ones.My personal favourite is the 15 year old- which is aged in used sherry casks, which imbibe a smoothness with a hint of fruitness, but not an overpowering sweetness to this one. The 12 and 14 year olds are aged differently- and are a lot woodier in character- and while the 18 and 21 year olds are very pleasant- they're also damn expensive. The 15- hits a very nice spot- and is a really lovely single malt. I'm not sure if you can see my buying history here- but I get a bottle every few months- I'm not a big drinker, but I like to drink nice whiskey.

What's an American girl to do when her boyfriend wins a fancy award but lives in the United Kingdom? How does she show how proud she is of him when she can't be there in person? She sends a bottle of Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 year old scotch with a note saying how proud she is of him, and to have a drink on her. He gets it, loves the gesture, and tells her she's honestly the best and that he loves her. It's well worth every penny just for being able to pour love into a glass from halfway across the world. That was the idea at least, but what do I know? I'm drunk! Good scotch.

Whilst I'm more of a smoke and peat fan I was gifted the bottle as part of a birthday celebration. Glenfidich as one of the biggest producers rarely ventures away from the middle as they know it will sell well. That given, as a whisky priced more on the entry side it drinks very well. It has a huge dried fruit and golden syrup taste which I happen to quite like. The length I find a little short, but that can be forgiven. Overall if it is your first foray into malts or if you like to stick very much to the middle you can't go far wrong with this bottle.

This is a superb whiskey for the money. A noticeable step up over the 12 and on a par with both the Glenlivet and Glenmorangie 18's in a recent taste-off, but for half the price (or even less when on offer). In an ideal world I'd go for the 18s every time, but for frequent drams, this really can be beaten and I prefer it too to Glenlivet's 15. Obviously, Scotch is about taste and opinion, but if you like your Speyside whiskies of the antiseptic peated, Islay offerings, this is well worth punting the extra cash over any 12 year old.

This is my go to special occasion/celebrations drink. While the whisky has great stages throughout it peaks with the finish. This can be attributed to the varied casks used in the aging process that really gives it a variety of tones which, for me personally, can only be rivaled by Balvenie Caribbean Cask.I always try to pick this up once a year when it's £30, but it's easily worth far more for worthy moments.TLDR recently got smashed while the wife was back home in Belarus as a treat with this gorgeous stuff. No regrets.

Got this for Father’s Day and strongly recommend to all my drinking partners as by far the best value dram for the money @£32. So good I got another at this price .It’s smooth and well sherries for a speyside and anyone venturing into the whisky market will not be disappointed. It’s a bit like when a wine drinker try’s a red for the first time you need steering.Fantastic sweet and fruity nose, not overpowering and the finish is as smooth as a baby’s bottom.

The first quarter of the bottle (not in one sitting, you understand) left me feeling indifferent, however - as is so often the case - things seemed to mellow from there revealing a pleasingly subtle, sweet and immensely smooth single malt. It;s not groundbreaking, but absolutely worth your attention if you're in the market for something that will tickle but not challenge your taste buds. And superior to the distinctly unimpressive 12yr old, in every way.

I'm not happy as the photo when I bought this whisky suggests it's a 15 yr old single malt. The packaging I received looks nothing like the photo when buying. I will keep it, but feel you should change your ad photo because it's very misleading. Only when you look closely you can see Solera mentioned. Having said that, it's quite enjoyable.

I have been lucky enough to recieve this as a present on two of my birthdays.I'm not a connosieur, the most expensive whisky I've tasted being Johnny Walker Blue Label (which I thought was far too matured). This is really one of my favourites along with Aberfeldy.Almost creamy, a little sweetness with no harshness. Perfect !

I heard great things about the 15 glenfiddich, and although a nice single malt it doesn’t get near the 12 year old Balvenie, but that’s purely opinion, everyone has different opinions on single malts, this one wasn’t for me. It was well packaged and came as expected so no issues with seller, or the malt itself.

I get my dad whisky for pretty much every occasion, he can be very picky but i always like to get him something new to try.He says this is fantastic, out of about 30 different whiskies i have got him over the years,he says this and Dalmore are his favorite. Thanks for the fantastic service.

This is a most splendid Whisky if you like them smooth. This is not just a 15-year single malt, but actually a blend of three different finishes. A single malt that's also a blend: genius! And it's a really good price here on Amazon though the seller was somewhat slow at shipping it to me.
