Just as you would never compare a Kia to a Ferrari, let's not try to compare a budget single malt to a premium one. The problem is at this sort of pricepoint the difference of a fiver can be a deciding factor and I've seen this go from anything between £18-£28.In terms of VFM, you would be hard-pressed to find a better value genuine Single Malt Scotch, and compared to more ubiquitous brands (usually blends) like Johnny Red @ £18 or Johnny Black @ £28 this is a no-contest choice at either end of the price scale IMHO.Exceptional value sub-£20, still good at £25 but once you get close to £30 I'd trade up to a Tamdhu 10 (12 if you are lucky on special)for a better SM Speyside exemplar under £30.

fresh and zesty with hints of vanilla on the palate and floral notes on the nose, there is no age statement but given the pale colour I'm guessing its under 10 years of age and has most certainly been matured in ex bourbon casks (fresh bourbon at that). For the price I would say this is a very good value malt, it may not be over complex but its very pleasant and offers a decent whisky experience. The whisky is 40% alcohol by volume and has a quality cork stopper. Worth noting that the box mine came in was square and not round!Certainly one to try if you like bourbon matured whisky, don't expect the earth but if you add a few drops of water then for the money you'll find this hard to beat!

Someone bought me some of this a couple of christmasses (?) ago and I must say I really enjoyed it, it normally takes me about 6 months to empty a bottle of whisky but this went in about 2 weeks!. I'm not a drinker, I only have singles every now and again so I don't claim t know much about whisky, although I gave up on the cheap blended rubbish long ago.Very light in colour and taste, I assume it's not aged like single malts normally are, but it's pleasant to drink and costs quite a bit less. Well worth it in my book.

Just finished it, was ok although I wouldn't go out if my way to buy again as there are far better on here for around the same price.I ended up using it in my bedtime chocolate drink, like I would bells

I cannot judge it myself, as my Dad drinks Whisky. I know he loves this preferred blend single-malt whisky!

A very light & rounded Speyside single malt that I have been drinking for fifty years.
