I was expecting this whisky to be amazing (judging by the reviews and awards) but it actually (has always) exceeded my expectations. In general I'd prefer peated malts (Talisker 10 YO, Johnny Walker 15 YO, Jura Prophecy, everything Laphroiag, Ardbeg and Bowmore among the favourites) but am known to enjoy all the other styles depending on the mood/moment.This one is just irresistible. It is so soft and mellow, so full of aroma and taste while still remaining light and not too sweet. I am not "qualified" enough but I'd say there are distinct (but by no means overpowering) hints of citrus and vanilla.I am sure there is a lot more but I find it difficult to articulate more specifically. It has never disappointed apart from the fact that it lasts less than any other bottle I am taking out from the vault.I must have had at least 7-8 bottles so far - last time I bought 4 at once and recently was depressed to find out that they've run out (I rarely drink more than a half a bottle a week). Every single person I know agrees with me.By the way the 12 YO is not too bad either...

Very smooth whisky - not pleated, but if you're a fan of Highland malts you'll enjoy this. Not to be confused with the younger "Major's Reserve" - this is an altogether different experience. Highly recommended, and if you can get on a deal- even better!

A very easy to drink whisky. I offer this to people who I'm introducing to whisky, as it's very light. As long as you understand this doesn't offer massive depth of flavour (which you don't always need/want) then it's very pleasant.

Very nice but not bot imo not as nice as the 10 yr old and more expensive. It's good to buy a whisky that has a stated age instead of a lot of Bull**** about how you'll feel when you drink it and how it's going to change your life.

I bought this for £26 on a daily deal. I'd happily buy this again for closer to £40, really nice whiskey in a nice looking bottle (if you care about that type of thing!). I'd give this a go when it is next on a deal.

I rarely drink Scottish whiskey, I prefer Irish whiskey. My Dad used to drink Glen Grant over 50 years ago and loved it, so I bought this for my Son (who lives in Scotland) and he says it is very good.

Lovely single malt. One of the best Speyside has to offer. Maybe not one for the Islay-inclined drinkers - there is no smoke &/or peat here, it's just smooth and subtle all the way. Classy dram.

At the price this is a very tasty single malt. A wee drop water helps bring out all the favours it has to offer, but many other Scottish whiskies are better, but not at this price.

There is nothing to dislike this amazing whisky. Smooth finish, hint of smoke, great vanilla taste. amazon please bring it back at that great reduced price, please. pretty please.

Bought this as a gift and the reaction was, “it took me back at first but the second and third went down perfectly after I got used to it”. From that, I’d say it was a good buy!!

A very palatable dram! Smooth, tasty and if you like single malt but are looking for good value this is well worth a try. Not a very extreme flavour but very warming and mellow.

Bought on a special offer and so pleased i did. Would buy again at full price. Smooth and rounded flavour, great for a whiskey novice like me and more mature palates alike

This is a great whisky and always get a few bottles when the price drops but still worth the £29.You could pay three time as much for a lesser opponent.

My favourite Whisky of all time. Its smooth, tasty, easy to drink and not too heavy. Love It and the distilllery and their marvellous tour.

Used to drink this when I was a lad (now 68). Bought it for the nostalgia factor and was not disappointed. It appears to have evaporated!
