I always had great luck with Gedore tools when I worked in auto repair in Europe. I saw this ratchet on Amazon, it was in brand new/unused condition and the price was very reasonable, so I bought it immediately. It is every bit as good as the ratchets you get from tool truck brands for 2-3 times the price. Actually, I take that back, in my opinion it's better than many of them, I really like the black plastic handle. Don't let the "plastic" part fool you - its really heavy duty and practically indestructible. Overall, this is a very high quality tool, unless you abuse it it will last a lifetime and you will pass it on to your kids in perfect working condition. The finish is matte rather than shiny chrome,

Great tool! Used it on the same day I received it. The ratchet feels comfortable in the hand. I work on class 8 trucks and have apply a lot of torque to remove and install cap screws. The Gedore ratchet is up to the task.
