Probably the best hex key set I've ever bought (and I've bought a few in my life!), the build quality is excellent, with a sturdy holder to retain the set when not in use. The colour-coding is useful as a means of drawing attention to one missing. One point to note - these are 'high-torque' hex keys - given this, these are longer than the 'average' hex key (photo shows the Wera 6mm vs a normal 6mm, along with a ruler for scale).One other point (some may feel this stating the obvious!) - like ALL other ball-drivers, the 'waist' of the ball-end is a weak-point because of its reduced diameter, so the ball will shear off if excessive force is applied; if you need that amount of force,

The shape on the hex keys is Hex plus which presumably is harder to manufacture, or trade marked because its mostly seen on wera.Why is this important? they dont round out hex fittings AND when face with a rounded out bolt, these often gain purchase and allow the removal of the offending piece.The smaller size hex bolts 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 are susceptible to damage from over enthusiastic tightening and these hex plus keys come in handy all the time.PLUS the price is about right for a good set of keys.They appear to be hard wearing, the plastic sleeve is easily cleaned of oil and grime after use but might get in the way if there is a deeply recessed bolt with tight tolerances to the hole.I have a set in my mobile tool kit as well as the workshop.

Like many of you I've spent years with a tonne of loose allen keys that I have acquired over the year, a mixture of imperial and metric, some black, some silver, some with the size engraved and some that are just blank and they're just awful. The fact these have their size in a nice large front is great but the colours just make them amazingly fast to use, the rounded shaft makes them really easy to spin too. They feel super well made and I was surprised at how big the larger 8 & 10mm were. My only complaint is that currently the folding carry case is a little stiff when trying to pull them out but I'm sure with time that will become easier. £23 is easily worth spending on these.

If anyone needs a pair of Hex Keys then these are the absolute best in the world. I've tried a couple of brands but this grip amazingly, the colour code is ideal as it has the size printed on there and they don't snag or slip (unless the actually hex screw has a dodgy head). The ball bit of it is ideal for casually unscrewing it and the normal key bit is for tightening the screw. I've used this a number of times and fail to see any faults in them. The only thing i'm worried about at the moment is the clip that holds the folded section seems a tad loose but that shouldn't be a problem to drive you away from this amazingly priced product.

Bought these thinking they may have been a bit over the top pricewise, although they are obviously beautiful quality. I was putting together some very longwinded furniture & the Allen bolts all got rounded using the supplied Allen key & I was getting really frustrated. As a last shot I tried these keys & bingo !! It wasn’t the bolt, it just needed a quality key. These were rock solid & finished the job in no time. They will genuinely last forever. You get what you pay for here & they are fantastic & will actually work out cheaper in the long run.

Very impressed with the quality of these keys and their unique design means they fit the allen head perfectly without rounding off the inside. Design wise years ahead of Snap on. I was so impressed I have also bought a set of Wera laser tipped screwdrivers even though I have a Snap On set. Again, they are better than the Snap On items at a fraction of the price. I am not a full time mechanic but I do like to use the right tool for the job and these tools feel right and hopefully will be the last allen keys I will ever need to buy.

Restoring a VTR1000 Firestorm and struggling with seized Allen bolts made me go out and get a decent set of keys. I have loads of screwdriver/socket bits but sometimes an allen key works much better - and you can't get better than these. Removed the disc brake bolts easily enough and a frozen caphead on the swingarm I thought I'd need to drill out came out using the 5mm key when a different hex bit from another set started to round it off. Recommended, the sleeves mean they're not harsh on your hands in the cold weather too.

I have always gone down the cheap route with Allen keys and that's why I have a load of them lying at the bottom of my tool box but these Hex+ Wera one's are hands down the nicest Allen keys I have seen and are a joy to use. Just holding them and feeling how heavy they are gives an indication of the quality steel that they're made with. If you use Allen keys on a regular basis then these are some of the best you can buy and compared to what you pay for a cheap set these are an even bigger bargain.

I use these for MTB maintenance after getting fed up of my basic hex keys being inadequate. Wera sizes are clearly marked with colour coordination making it quick and easy to find the right key for the job and come with a handy rack to hold them in. The arms are nice and long so it's easy to get the right torque on the bolts especially for the 6,8 & 10mm keys. What's more they feel strong even when you need to tighten to around 50Nmm . Quality tools and it's clear from the moment you use them

I do love my wera tools and it only made sense when I was looking for new alley keys to buy these ones.They come in a great box as usual and look great, however I was a little disappointed that after the first use on the 5mm one the plastic is damaged. I would of though they would of made the plastic coating hard coating so it would last! Can’t see them lasting too long so will lose a star from that.Apart from that they look and feel great as you would expect.

Over the years I've worked out that certain brands make certain products better than others. So, instead of buying all my tools from one brand, I've been more selective. WERA seems to make the best hex and torx keys - but why? Well, the cut of the ends is very precise, they are nice and long for good torquing, and the colour coding makes it easier to associate screw-head sizes with certain keys.They're not cheap but you'll only ever need to buy once..!!

I won't go back to regular allen keys now. Am LOVING not worrying about stripping out heads. Loved this set so much, I quickly bought some Wera screwdrivers. I look forward to adding more Wera tools to my tool kit. There is NO substitute for quality tools, especially when a company as bright as Wera has the brains and creativity to, essentially, invent novel new ways to approach tool problems that are night-and-day superior to the old systems.

this is not the first Wera hex key set I have - this would in fact be the third set I have bought - because they are easily the best ones i have used.... but the other two are just plain green.... the multi coloured aspect is awesome. One of the green sets has been relegated to the toolbox on my boat, the other I have donated to Number one son, but this multi coloured set is now under lock an key in my 'best' toolbox.

Very good quality and can take heavy use using a pole to give more leverage without breaking or twisting so worth 5 star the fit is very good leaving no play allowing more torque, the plastic color sleeves give comfort to the hand when using and easily wipe cleanSet contains nine Hex-Plus L-keys - 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mmI would recommend, good German quality just buy once

Mistakenly thought Prime Tools, a company established for 20 odd years, was part of the Prime delivery scheme when ordering a number of other items for a visiting relative. This product arrived on the day that was advertised when I placed the order, unfortunately it was too late for my visitor.Totally my fault, but Prime Tools were more than happy for me to return the item.Well done!
