As a rule I don't do reviews but as I bought this item thanks to some of the reviews I feel it's only fair to do one this time. I, like most on here, had to change my taps and I knew the little nuts holding them in would be a pain but I couldn't justify paying for spanners I would most likely use once. However, for £4 It was a no brainer.Some reviews mentioned the point it was difficult to turn the spanner with the little bar they supplied but I noticed the individual spanners can fit into one another allowing you to extent the particular spanner you are using so it's longer and allowing an easier turn using the small tommy bar supplied. I needed to fit a new tap in my kitchen and a nut has to be screwed on to a long thread fitted to the tap body, keeping a steel washer and a rubber washer in place. I asked a local plumber to do the job but after a week he hadn't turned up so I bought this set of box spanners and did it myself. The set consists of double-ended box spanners of progessive sizes that fit together to make a long spanner to fit onto the nut that has to be tightened on to the thread. There are holes in the box spanners to take the supplied tommy bar to turn the assembly. I can't say it was particularly easy to do but the job was done in ten minutes.

Great set of box spanners, they have the holes for the tension bar drilled and NOT punched, so it will fit over the threaded bolt for taps. (the punched ones will not take a threaded bolt)The only con i can think of is there is no case for them. they come in a plastic pack you have to cut open. no worries i bought a tool roll to put them in.But i think you can buy some with there own carry case at a similar price . i cant say how good they are tho.These are good and will last for years.

Great value and quality, long reach, Metric Box Spanner Set. I only needed the 11mm one, for tightening a buried securing nut of a new Mixer Tap that I just fitted. (No standard tools would reach or fit this nut). It was still a little awkward using the supplied tommy bar, but done the job admirably, when I used a small screwdriver as a tommy bar.On just the odd occassion these tools are needed, they are worth their weight in Gold. Highly recommended, thanks.

The kitchen sink mixer tap was very loose in it's mounting. It is secured to the sink body with a threaded rod. I used a 12mm box spanner from the purchased tool kit to tighten the nut on the threaded rod. Previously, I had called a plumber to tighten the nut at a cost of £50 (call out cost). He did not adequately tighten it. Therefore, by purchasing this box spanner tool kit I saved myself £44 and did not have to call the plumber out again.

These spanners finally ended the saga with my kitchen taps. I had tried several of the so called dedicated sink tap tools, all with no success when it came to tightening my wobbly kitchen tap. In less than five minutes under the sink the job I had been trying to sort out with other tools was fixed with these, and my wobbly tap wobbles no more. I definitely should have got these first and saved myself some a lot of time and money.

These are good value, I won’t lie I will probably never need to use these again, but you never know. But these are invaluable to remove the one (sometimes 2) nut under a sink tap! Seriously I used it for seconds. Right tool, right job saves a lot of time. So I didn’t want to invest my arm and leg in a set of these, and I didn’t they were the cheapest I could find, and more than capable of doing the job they are made to do.

I already have a good socket set but I do not have deep sockets that is why I bought this for difficult to reach bolts/nuts. It is true that I manage to bend the tommy bar but this is because I attached another bar to is for extra leverage when I was trying to undo a 18mm bolt stuck on my car.Pros: The Tommy bar should be stronger and longer for more leverage.

I bought this set of box spanners so I could reach the nut(s) securing a mixer tap to the sink. This usually has a long bolt so even deep sockets are not always long enough. By buying the set, I am able to extend the spanner by using a larger spanner on the opposite end, so making the nut easier to reach and even a socket ratchet on the end of that.

Had a simple job of fixing a tap in the kitchen, just needed a box spanner to tighten the nut, went to screw fix and bought a set, got them home and found the holes where punched meaning the spanners couldn't fit over the thread and get to the nut, back they went, and I ordered these, perfect, drilled not punched so the job was done in 5 minutes.

These are essential as a plumber and make my job soooo much easier. Very well made. Compact and perfect for a multitude of applications. They should really last you a lifetime to be completely honest! The fact that you can add them together giving you more length when working in tight spaces under basins is a good feature! Highly recommended!!

Absolute must for fitting sink taps or tightening up. Needed for monobloc taps, but can be used for a variety of jobs - bicycles etc. Vey good quality and cheap price. You get the full set as the picture shows. Note maybe worth buying a couple of sizes up as well as these for the larger monobloc nuts. Fast delivery. Recommend.

I have started to do my own plumbing and can now change a tap on a wash basin in minutes. These tools are a necessity, especially if you have to tighten the nut under the sink. They were also great value for money too. incidentally, they are well made and robust, having used them numerous times they will stay up well to use.

Read all the reviews but when I received my set I could find no burrs, sharp edges or wrong number of any size.For the money I would not expect German precision engineered chrome vanadium etc. If they are used only once they are still a giveaway at the price. That's not to say they won't last long for domestic only use.

Only needed to tighten up one bolt where normal socket set cant reach.Although not the best finish, feels very sturdy, the tommy bar drilled holes are smooth and it did what i needed.Would be good to have a basic holder as the tommy bar will probably get lost way too easily. Left mine in the plastic box it came in.
