At times, you wonder if designers actually use the stuff they design.Well I am happy to report that in this case... they did.First of all, these are Stainless Steel. Now, if yours never come into contact with moisture... this might be an overkill for your needs. The set is beautifully packaged, folds over onto itself and LOCKS into place. Thus saving valuable space in your tool belt or bag. As you expect... the heads are shaped with a ball-end for working those rotten jobs were you only have slightly angled access to the allen key head. Note that there are 9 (nine) different sizes in the set.I love the way the handles are insulated but DO bear in mind that this is done primarily for color coding...These are NOT Cat2/3/4 rated tools !!! The colored insulation allows quick and easy size determination, if you remember that a size 5 ( a very common size) is orange you just pick'em up by the color. There is very very little not to like about this set. Do note: these are not shorties... the size Ten is 224 mm long ! The one advantage is that this will give you a lot of torgue, if you go in with the short side first.I've only got a single comment. It is rare (for me) to use anything greater than a size 5. It would be nice if Wera made a set going up to say size 6 maximum, I will almost never need an 8 or a 10. But that may not apply to you so feel free to ignore this.Folks, allow me to make one last point. I buy the things I need and use. I DO NOT, and never will do "Freebie or discounted" reviews. I PAID the full wack, just like you and am NOT beholden to ANY manufacturer. Unless Amazon reviews are HONEST, they are of no value.Heh... and my very last point ? Simple. The Joy of the low price is soon forgotten but the misery of Poor quality lingers on forever. While I do not plan to leave this set to my grown-up kids... they look and feel if they were made for that purpose. Conclusion? Highly Recommended by a USER !!!Albert

Hmmm. Like many blokes I'm a sucker for shiny new tools. I swear that most men are part magpie and don't tool manufacturers know it...Anyway, I found myself in the fortunate position of needing a new set of Torx bits and using this as an excuse to raid my wallet I bought these, a fancy set of Wera Torx keys which, frankly are wonderful to look at and sit in my tool box like objects of desire, but in reality don't justify the price. The good is that these are supremely well made by a high class manufacturer and as long as you don't lose them, lend them out or have them nicked, they'll probably outlast you - and maybe your kids. They are colourful and this helps the bling factor.I guess it makes them easier to see and to choose the correct one, but mostly, it's about the bling. The negative is that the price is really too high. You could buy non name stuff for a couple of quid and similar quality for about half the price. The other thing is that these are not actually that big - see the picture - and that means you will have a lack of torque on a tight fixing. Worth thinking about because you can get longer keys.In the end you make a choice. Overspend on the best there is and hope you don't lose them or go cheap. For me, being a lover of tools and an engineer, I can always justify the few extra quid when necessary. And these are really very good tools.

I always wait to review purchases until I have been using them for more than a few months. I work in a bike shop full time and these tools get used more frequently than any other. I have sliding t-handles and P-handle hex keys but Wera always gets used. These keys hold up very well and the special shaped head they have works very well even in worn hex bolts. The only real downside I can find with this key set is how the thick sleeve on each tool makes them difficult to get in and out of the holder but that is rarely a concern given since I use them too frequently to even bother with the holder.Personally I love the thick rubber sleeve because it actually serves a great purpose. When I have a overly tight quick release I can use the key as a lever against the frame and the sleeve prevents any scratching. The heads show no noticeable wear even after months of heavy use. I would argue the 10mm key is unnecessary for my needs as anything requiring that size bolt will require such significant force that it is simply better to use my T-handle instead or a hex bit on a breaker bar. This is one of the very few tools which is shop worthy but also not so expensive that they break the bank for a casual user. The color coded keys are super helpful too.

Since becoming a homeowner, I've become something of a tool collector. I appreciate nice tools because they give you the ability to get stuff done yourself, their quality eliminates headaches and their durability ensure you'll get decades of use out of them. These Wera torx keys are expensive, but I figure I'm better off paying for top quality keys up front, rather than buying numerous cheaper sets over the years (buy once, cry once).Highlights:-The smooth round handles and rubber sleeves are more comfortable than typical profiled handles-The colour coded sleeves make identification quick and easy-The holder holds all the keys securely and keeps them nice and tidy in your toolbox-The magnetizerbuilt into the holder allows you to magnetize the keys for use in holding fasteners when you can't get both hands into a tight spot-The ball end allows for access to more constrictive areas-The drilled ends on some of the stubby ends allow you to use the keys on tamper-resistant torx hardware, so you don't need two sets (standard and tamper-resistant)I have no doubt that I will get decades of use out of this set of torx keys, and could even pass them down to my children.

After years of struggling with bargain bucket allen keys ruining and rounding off bolts, got tired and invested in a quality set. This set has worked on bolts I had considered ruined which didn't mesh with cheaper keys. Colour coding helps instantly identify the proper key, and also make sure the set stays together rather than being scattered around, 'borrowed' and mixed with inferior sets. Every toolbox needs a top notch allen key set. It's quite an investment for what it is and I'm sure they're making a comfortable profit, but sometimes the expensive option is the frugal option, especially when ruining bolts can result in ruining things. One comment is that it would be nice if I could buy a cheaper set with a more limited set of sizes, since I can't remember the last time I had to use a 8 or 10mm key at home. Something like 2.5, 3,4,5,6 would cover most use cases and the gaps could be filled in with cheap keys. If a smaller set were available I'd likely buy more sets for family members who don't need a full toolset.

These are Wera so should need no introduction. I have used them already. Being colour coded helps enormously when having someone helping with the task at hand. Putting force (leverage) on these does not cause me any concern as I know they have come from one of my preferred suppliers. It would be good to know the actual country of manufacture though as many companies now outsource or rebrand. However, being Wera I am prepared to assume that the quality is what should be expected and am placing my reliance on them. They are comfortable in my hands and when they are loaded do not give the impression that they are about to snap.I am using these on my ocean going catamaran and when at sea there are no alternatives - if a tool breaks I am potentially in problems so always buy try to purchase quality tools. Wera are my preferred brands and to date I have never been disappointed.

I've had my eye on these allen keys for quite a while but felt I couldn't justify the cost as my old unbranded allen keys worked well enough for what I needed. But I lost the old allen keys last week and so I decided to order the Wera set. What a difference! They just ooze quality and feel so much better in the hand than the old keys. The clip also works well - a nice, secure action to the lock and it's easy to extract individual keys as you need them. The colour-coding is very handy too.The larger keys are quite a bit longer than the equivalents in my old set, but this helps with a bit of extra leverage so is a good thing. But I've attached a pic that shows the unlocked clasp against a tape measure so that you can see how long the keys actually are i.e.just in case you need more compact keys.

I'm sure a lot of you reading this are thinking the same thing - is it worth spending this amount of money on a set of allen keys that I could buy for a quater of the price? The answer is yes.Check out the demos on youtube. I don't have a video to share, I'm just Jo Average, but I can tell you that these allen keys do exactly what is shown on these demos. They fit bolts VERY snugly and are great and undoing heads that have been damaged. Not totally destroyed obviously, but rounded from slipping tools - yes.Plenty of leverage, colour coded for quick choice and organisation, lockable folding holder - it's all there. At 44 y/o I don't imagine buying another set of allen keys this side of the reapers visit.Very happy with my purchase, worth the expense.

I didn’t want to be the rival dad without a socket set. Decided as well as buying a socket set, I’d buy these hex keys too. Was unsure if they were really necessary but I liked the colours. It was only after receiving these I realised how bad the cheap hex keys you get with things are. I have so many slightly rounded bolt heads etc because of bad hex keys. These are so solid they so neatly fit things which then just turn without any give or rounding. The flat and rounded ends are genuinely useful too.Don’t know how well these would stand up to ‘trade’ use however, as a rival dad I have a hex key set that will last me for life, and look pretty impressive too. Look out rival dads!

These are great. I carry a set of Allen keys in my pocket at work all day, these have proven to be above and beyond your typical Elkind or other brand. The really do bite better. One thing to note is the size of these, they are about 2 times the length of a standard set. But the extra length comes in handy more than they have been a hindrance. The hold function is great too. I work in pretty dirty environments, and the detents haven’t seemed to suffer any. Even with the bulky size, I don’t mind carrying them in my pocket. Bite the bullet, get over the price, and they really will be a great addition to your tool set.

Great product, very useful colours. A few things to note that are not very clear from the product page is that the two smallest torx keys do not have the security torx hole, although I don't know security torx that small exist.Additionally a feature I was surprised by is a magnetizer and de magnatizer just underneath the lock for the holder indicated by a plus for magnetizing and a dash for de-magnetizingI don't know if this is a recent addition or not but I was unaware of the feature when I purchased it and it is quite useful. The magnetizing worked on my screwdrivers as well the torx.

Wow, they're rather spiffy aren't they! This is actually my third set of Wera Allen keys, I also have the plain stainless set and the smaller ones included in the bit holder service kit; one is none, as they say! I decided a 'holding function' set would make my life easier, so I pulled the trigger on these.I suppose I'd still point you in the direction of the plain stainless ones if you need them to be easy to clean; for everything else, buy these. They're on the expensive side for a set of hex keys, but given the quality on offer I'd say they were good value.

The "hold function" on the ball end is awesome, really handy for getting your fixings into tight access spaces without dropping them. Colour coding is useful for size and not losing these on a messy workbench. The finish on the metal is nice; real smooth and theres little to no flex in these when you really need to give it the spuds. The flexible holder is good quality too. Really cant argue with the price when its 1/5th the cost of a snap on set and I'd argue that they're better quality too. Very impressed with WERA tools.

As part of a programme to replace budget priced legacy tools over the last two to three years while building my Brian May Red Special replica guitar, I bought the hex wrench set and then the Torx set (both pictured). These are very good quality tools which are clearly made with care and attention and deserve to be used in a similar spirit. They are attractive in appearance and easy to identify with their coloured sleeves. Highly recommended tools which take pride of place in the top drawer of my tool chest.

Excellent quality feel to these hex keys as soon as I lifted them out of the packaging. They look nice in the sleeve holder, although they can be tricky to slide out of the holder, it's made of a rubbery plastic which seems to grab hold of the key when trying to remove it. The keys feel very nice in hand and the colour coding once you learn it will help in grabbing the correct one every time. Very pleased with the purchase, fast delivery as always and great product.
