After struggling to tighten a wobbly monobloc tap in the bathroom using a combination of wrench, spanner set, fingers and an ample supply of handy expletives, I finally gave up and sought advice on the oracle that is YouTube.One 2-minute video later and I knew that I needed a box wrench to clear the length of the spindle, and also to be able to actually turn the nut in that most confined of spaces. But which size? I was tempted by the slightly cheaper and highly rated "Monument - Tap Back Nut Box Spanner - 27mm & 32mm" but this is Me - with the luck that comes with being Me neither end would fit, and I would spend a good half hour under the bathroom sink quietly weeping before placing another order on Amazon.

These cost the same for a set of 6 delivered as buying a single one in my local hardware store. They do the job (for me attaching a monobloc tap to kitchen sink) but for other plumbing work you will still need other wrenches / grips for when pipes are in the way etc. No matter how many tools you have it seems you always need to buy another one - good job Amazon is both quick and cheap as buying some of these tools, even in DIY sheds, is getting harder and harder.

After the initial order got lost I was most impressed on the way the replacement was sent. Even more impressed when using this very useful bit of kit to repair my trailer which required a very deep socket tool to access the fixing bolts. This kit did eventually did the job after making a longer T bar.The box wrench appears to be of good manufacture and stood up to the abuse given to remove the rusty bolts and should give good service in other jobs.

Fixing a loose mixer tap without the right tool is amongst the most frustrating of jobs. With this set it took longer to empty the cupboard below the sink unit than it did to fix the tap. Having so many spanner sizes included in the set is great, although of course only one size was needed on this occasion. The mixer tap has remained reassuringly tight and I almost look forward to the next repair.

Perfect. I was charging our kitchen tap and needed just this to get the bolt on underneath. Good quality. Good value and done the job perfectly. I’ve needed these in the past to change an old toilet seat but could never think of the name of it. Will keep in the ‘most used’ tool box in future. Definitely one of those must have tools for multiple jobs around the house

This is a cheap box spanner set so I wasnt expecting anything fantastic. Up to now they have done exactly what I needed when working with unistrutt. They Seem quite strong though so I was suprised to hear other customers have rounded them off. You probably would round them off if you swing on the handle.

Would give these 6 stars if I could. I wish I'd bought them when I was working on the bathroom, as they saved me a lot of hassle with removing some kitchen taps (and installing new ones). Much easier than trying to use a normal wrench, if you're undoing a nut in a confined space.

A good value set of box spanners.Although they are not suitable for trade users, they are great for the home DIY enthusiast.I purchased these for changing the insides of some bathroom taps and very well they performed too.Reasonable quality at a reasonable price.

I have shed-loads of socket sets, long reach and all that but these box spanners take some beating when you need that extra length.I havent used them much but when I've needed them there's been no other way.Seem good quality for the price, happy bunny.

Used for removing pedestal tap. It was so much easier to access the connections using the wrench set. I am a carer for my husband so try and do the small DIY around the home. Will certainly use these again if I get any problems with our taps.

Good product,it does the job and good value for money!The finishing it's a bit rough comparing to other more expensive tools,but that's not a problem.Good for DIY jobs,i don't think it's the best product for profession use.

These are excellent for reaching nuts that can't be reached with ordinary spanners. They appear to be well made, sturdy and nicely finished. The sizes are clearly marked on each spanner. For the price they're great value.

Bought this to tighten my kitchen taps, which were very awkward to get to. Worked fine. Seem fairly well made. Very minor quibble - could do with something to keep all the bits together - the elastic band won't last long.

Spanners arrived on time in perfect condition and 5 minutes later the kitchen tap was fixed. Cheaper than a plumber. Excellent product. Can also be used at double length because one spanner will slot inside a bigger one.

Great value. Arrived in couple of days. It easily solved an irksome problem on my Ford Ka (battery compartment) that was the reason I had ordered it. OK the elastic band is a little naff but at this price who cares?
