This Essie nail polish is in the shade 'Press Pause' and is a light grey nail lacquer that holds 13.5ml of colour. It comes in a transparent glass bottle with a bold white cap. You can see the colour of the lacquer come through the glass bottle. The word 'ESSIE' is printed on the front of the nail polish in white, along with another white font that says 'nail lacquer' in English, and a few different languages underneath the title. On the two sides of the bottle, it has the word 'ESSIE', again, printed a bit bolder and thicker so that you can feel the word. There isn't anything on the bottom of the nail polish, apart from the number '30', and on the top of the white lid,there is a white sticker with a black font that says the shade name; 'press pause'.The price is set at a reasonable price and can usually be found the same on other websites, along with Amazon. The nail polish does include the two miniature silver balls (that can generally be found) in the varnish, that helps combine the colour together and helps stop all the components from separating.Just warm the bottle before using it by rolling it in the palms of your hand, and away you go...I have given the varnish to my daughter as I do not wear nail products myself, but I have been given an honest feedback from her. She loves the colour and think it would look fabulous on all skin tones. The light-grey colour reminds her of a pastel blue with a grey undertone. My daughter has used this product twice, and has told me it is long wearing and does not budge once it is on. She put a clear top coat on after the polish and loves the look of it. It is a beautiful glossy colour, that would look great in the summer. She painted her toes with it, but is excited to ask to get her fingernails done with it because the colour looks stunning: especially with the sun reflecting on it.She recommends it to anyone, but particularly the people who want a simple, yet effective summer colour. This light-grey colour, helps you achieve a fresh look and my daughter absolutely loves what the colour looks like with a clear top coat on top, as it adds that extra shine. If you love this colour, but would prefer it to be matte, you can just purchase it with an additional matte top coat so that the clear coat on top makes it less shiny.However, if you would want to wear this colour, it will always help you achieve the look you want. It feels smooth on the nails and doesn't smudge as quick as other nail polishes can do.For the price, I do recommend this product, it looks glamorous and is very light weight, so you have no problem worrying about your nails all the time!

Essie Nail Colour Serene Slate Grey Nail Polish 13.5ml is a very nice nail polish which is very rich not only in colour but also in texture. The actual polish has a thick consistency which for me personally allowed me to fully coat my nails using one coat of nail varnish.I did find it did chip easily and needed extra time to dry properly which should need extra consideration if you want or need a nail polish which dries quickly to aid prevention of smudges or chips.I like Essie nail polishes as not only do they provide a nice colour but also aids the growth and protection of the nail polish.A great brand of nail polishes which I am happy to recommend.I have tried a few of the colours in the range which also includedEssie 79 Sand Tropez Beige Nude Nail Polish 13.5ml is a very nice nail varnish and one which I like to use when I want a nice pale look.I love Essie nail varnish for me the main reason the varnish protects my fingernails while bringing colour to them.The paler nail varnishes have become more popular the past year or so and this is one nail varnish delivers a nice soft colour which still stands out even with the colour being pale and not very eye-catching. Yet the colour it provides gives a nice solid coverage to the fingernails which I personally do like.I like the brush which is attached to the applicator as it covers my nails with one application which means the application is full and in a level solid applicationI like how the nail varnish protects my nails and for my own personal needs, this is excellent nail polish.I also had the pleasure of using the Ballet slippers colour and I loved the soft colour.essie Original Nail Polish, Nude and Neutral Shades, 6 Ballet Slippers 13.5 ml is a lovely soft coloured nail varnish and like all Essie's nail polishes it is easy to apply mainly because the applicator brush is long enough to fully coat the nail, therefore, no repeat applications over the one spot.Personally, I love the iridescent glow or finish of this nail polish as well as the nice soft pink colour. I do prefer soft light colours compared to the dark, bright colours.This is a lovely coloured nail varnish and it is one I am happy to recommend.Happy to recommend.

NICE NAILS==========I love having nice nails. It really can make your hands look much more attractive.Soooo, I had huge expectations.PREPARATIONS===============I always use a base coat and a top coat. Why? Well, the reasons to use a base coat are:A good base coat makes the nail polish adhere to your nail better and for longer.It can prevent your nails from staining or yellowingIt can strengthen your nails meaning less bends and breaks.The reasons to use a top coat are:A good topcoat will help nail polish dry faster, last longer and give a flawless finish.BOTTLE======Solid, well made. No problemsAPPLICATION===========Smooth and easy application. This is a lovely black nail varnish, even one coat gives a decent coverage.I started with a base coat (as usual) and then tried to add a thin coat but even one coat gave pretty good coverage! Two coats gives a deeper shine and deeper black colour. I topped it off with a top coat. I am the most messy clumsy person and i can chip/smudge nail vanish as soon as ive applied it. This lasted as well as any ive used!I like Essie branded polishes, ive always found them good quality and this is no different. Highly recommended to old goths everywhere

This is a really nice slate grey polish. You really need to use it with a base coat as otherwise it will stain your nails. I also apply a top coat as a matter of course but in truth this isn't necessary as the polish has a lovely gloss finish on its own. A single coat of colour is sufficient. What I like about Essie nail polish is that it goes on evenly owing to the brush and also is more chip resistant than most nail polishes.I have Sand Tropez from the same range - a sheer nude. Just as good but needs two coats for a light solid colour.

The product was used and tested by my wife whose comments and feedback were used as the basis for this review.Very nice nail polish, I have used several nail polishes from this brand and been happy with them so far. An interesting colour for me and not one I might ordinarily consider, an interesting shade of grey, not as dark as it first appears. Applies easily enough to give a smooth finish which is reasonably quick drying. Tough enough to prevent chips and last for several days depending on your routine.

This is great for looking a little different (well to those not wearing black nails also anyway!), and is a good level of shine.I found I could cover even a big area like my big toe with just a single coat. This is impressive for a black nail colour as I usually need to make two coats of all the other colours I've tried from other companies. This is the first black nail colour I've used. I prefer to use the minimum coats mainly for time reasons.I am happy to recommend this black nail colour from Essie.

(Written by my 17 year old)After getting this nail polish it quickly became one of my favourites, the grey fit well with my aesthetic and skin tone and worked very well as either a matte polish or with glitter or a glossy topcoat.This polish applies very smoothly, only taking two coats for full coverage, I found it dried in the same time as standard Essie polishes and could be sped up to about a minute and a half if using a UV lampOverall really good and I’ll probably buy again when it’s runs out

Good quality nail varnish in a pretty light grey colour.This takes two coats to get a good level of colour and and nice smooth finish.The square bottle is easy to hold and the brush a good size, so two stokes covers my entire nail. It needs protecting from washing up and household cleaners etc if you want it to last and a base and top coat is a good idea if you want a few days more wear.

OMG. Finally! A one coat black!I'm not overly girly, I like black. Yet most blacks I buy are cheap and need AT LEAST two coats to even look right. Yet for reviews sake this is a picture of one coat, nothing else! Perfect for me on the daily. Not sure about longevity yet but in the future I'd wear a base and top coat from habit. Looks perfectly fine though on its own to be honest.

As a 'heavy user' of nail polish, I can, hand on heart, say that Essie is one of the best brands I've ever used. The polish tends to chip after five or six days, but believe me, that's twice as long as some of the others. The brush is ergonomically shaped to fit within the nail bed and the top isn't too slippery to hold. The colour range is truly amazing - recommended.

Absolutely love this! Never wore dark or super bright colours even hen I was a teenager so wanted to be a bit brave. It’s not actually as drastic or ‘goth’ as I thought it would look and I’ve already had compliments! Look particularly beautiful on your toenails if you’re wearing matching black sandals! Good quality too, doesn’t chip easily.

ESSIE nail polish is quickly becoming one of my favourite brands. It applies very easily, the brush is thick and long and the polish is s good viscosity for quick no mess application.I do find if I apply 2 coats and a top coat it is fairly chip resistant.Serene Slate is a deep, dark grey which I really like.Recommended product.

I normally use really bright colours on my toes, but when I saw this nail varnish I thought, why not try something different. The grey is just the right shade for me, not too dark and definitely not white. The nail varnish has lasted all week without getting chipped, which is pretty amazing as I certainly don't treat it carefully.

My daughter absolutely love this! Gorgeous shade of grey, goes on smoothly and coverage is good. Two thin coats and a clear top coat lasted nearly a week before any chipping occurred. Removal was easy too and didn't stain my nails. Very impressed, and a reasonable price bearing in mind the quality.
