Today, I would like to share my thoughts with you about the Expressie Quick Dry Formula Nail Polish from Essie.Firstly, I think it would help for you to know a little about me as the reviewer.I am a 57-year-old woman who loves anything to do with hair and beauty. I have had long nail tips for the last 32 years and have spent a small fortune on anything to do with nail products.I like to buy, try, and use all ranges across all price bands. I do not have a favourite brand. To get to talk about anything to do with nails is right up my street. So, I was super excited to try the Expressie Quick Dry Formula Nail Polish from Essie in the shade Not Too Low key No.290; a beautiful deep burgundy shade which is very similar to Chanel Rouge Noir.I had such high expectations and hopes, and I so hate doing a negative review, but I am sorry to say the Expressie Quick Dry Formula Nail Polish from Essie was not quite so Expressie. The listing description claims that this quick and easy to apply formula dries in a minute; I did not find this to be the case.I found it took 5 minutes for the first coat of polish to touch dry and at least 10 minutes for the first coat to be completely dry. Drying time is always going to depend on the thickness of the layer used, but I applied just one adequate application.Because of the quick-dry formula, it is not easy to apply.I applied the Nail Polish using the standard professional application method of three vertical stripes; it was straightforward for me to apply. However, the formula will not easily allow you to make any adjustments; it starts to dry and become tacky as you work with it.The bespoke angled brush is designed specifically for the application to be fast; for me, I did not find it made any difference. I have over 30 years experience in applying polish, but maybe if you are inexperienced, and struggle with painting your non-dominant hand, it might help. The Expressie Quick Dry Formula Nail Polish was opaque with two coats for me.At the time of writing this review in December 2020, this Essie Quick-e Fast Drying Nail Varnish Treatment is priced at only £8.99 and is available on Prime offering FREE One-Day delivery.I recognise that I am incredibly picky when it comes to Nail Polish. My negativity, should not put you off choosing it. It was a beautiful shade and did stay shiny. Just expect to wait a little longer for it to fully dry.

I don’t understand some of the negative reviews about this nail polish. I’m not the best apply my own nail varnish – especially my right hand. For this reason I usually have shellac applied but since lockdown I haven’t been having it done. I thought I would quickly put some of this on my nails to try it out with only an hour left until my swim. I didn’t hold out much hope, HOWEVER I was wrong! The nail polish appeared very thin and as a result spread very easily but it is completely opaque and when it dries on the Nails it doesn’t appear thing at all, in fact there is 100% coverage with just one quick coat. The problem I have previously had with dry nail polishes is that they dry before I finished applying them. Not so with this one – it was easy to add a little extra bit on the side of the nails and blended in completely with the previously applied section..The nail polish appeared very thin and as a result spread very easily but it is completely opaque and when it dries on the nails it doesn’t appear thin at all, in fact there is 100% coverage with just one quick coat. I was confident to be able to go swimming after an hour and absolutely delighted that no ill effects were noticed to the nail polish. My nail colour lasted five days before any chips were seen, even though I always have my hands in water and have been gardening.I am so glad I have found this nail polish! The colour in the pics is Seize the Minute (190)

My wife review:I really liked the color. Very unique. It was opaque in two coats for me. The first coat dried to the touch within one min, second coat took a little longer. But in total, both coats dried to the touch within 5 mins. So it's definitely quick dry. Super easy to throw on and head out the door if you are in a rush. My opinion about the brush may be an unpopular one but I really liked it. Most reviews I have read or seen about it mentioned that the brush either did not make a difference in application or made it difficult to apply polish. But I really liked it. It made the polish application so much easier even with my non-dominant hand. And the shape of the brush results in a very neat and clean application of the polish. So far, I am digging the formula, the quick dry time and the brush. Will definitely order more shades.I've seen the reviews with people unhappy that the polish doesn't dry exactly within 1-2 minutes but I honestly didn't expect it. Other brands have promised this in the past and I've never seen any polish dry in 1-2 minutes. Drying time is always going to depend on the thickness of the layer used. I provided extra time just in case, used a base and top coat even though it's not supposed to be required because I'd like to make it last as long as possible. Couldn't be happier with how easy it was to apply with the angled brush. I ordered a couple other colors when I ordered this color, very happy I did because I can't find it locally where I live.

*Item received through the Amazon Vine program*As a long-time user of Essie polish (whoever said that boys cannot occasionally paint their toenails too?), for its smooth application, richness/quality of ingredients, finish and longevity, I was thrilled to receive and review 'Saff-ron on the Move' from the Expressie collection as a gratuity. As can be seen, the bottle arrived inside the increasingly iconic Amazon packaging and (most importantly) in an undamaged state, and while the Expressie range only provides 10ml of polish in comparison to the 13.5ml in Essie's full-sized bottles, despite its taller, thinner dimensions, the glass still possesses a similarly dense quality feel, with the Essie name embossed on two sides.During application I found that the angled brush afforded fantastic precision, particularly when working with non-dominant hand, as the straight edge made it easier to achieve a clean, definitive line between nail edge and skin, with very little tidy up required afterwards.Following two coats, although the glossy finish isn't fully captured by iPhone lens, despite feeling somewhat underwhelmed by the contrast of rustic orange against tanned skin, when viewed by naked eye, the inclusion of base and topcoat remained clearly evident.Although non-plus about the colour, since the usual Essie quality was there, I'll be adding further bottles from their time-saving Expressie range throughout 2021.

I got this for my wife so the opinions I'm gonna share are from her personal experience. My wife does her own nails religiously and so, she was very thrilled when we got this in the mail. She used this on her own nails and not the artificial one so there might be a different opinion for that. This nail polish dried quickly after applying which is great. As a housewife and a mom of a toddler, she wants to do her nails quickly and not spend so much time waiting for the polish to get completely dry.The brush is angled unlike the normal ones in the market which is quite smart as it reaches hard to reach corners without having so much mess on the surrounding skin.It looks shiny after application so no need for a topcoat. The colour is as vibrant and smooth as how it was described. She tried to experiment by using a single coat. After 24 hours, one of the polished nails got slightly chipped. On the second experiment, she applied double coats. It lasted about 3 days until it gets a slight chip.On the third experiment, she applied a double coat and a topcoat. So far, it's going on its first week and it still looks like new.I must say that it may also depend on what kind of activities she does. Like if she does extensive cleaning like scrubbing, definitely, the nail polish won't stay long.I hope you find this opinion helpful in choosing this product.

I hadn’t tried this essie express nail varnish so I was excited to give it a go. I ordered the shade “crop top and roll” which was the the same colour in real life as the picture made it look online. It has a a normal nail varnish brush and applied the same way as my other branded nail polishes. I was expecting it to be opaque but it gives a strong solid colour which is great. I have short nails that I’m trying to grow so this nude colour is ideal as it blends into my skin tone and doesn’t draw too much attention. It also seems to stop me biting my nails as it’s thick on my nails so they also feel like they are covered up. It feels quite shiny and gel like on but so far hasn’t peeled off like my other nail varnishes and hasn’t come off at all either. The claims for it being quick dry was also spot on, by the time I was painting my 3rd finger nail the first already looked dry, although I did still smudge it on the second coat but I think that says more about me than the polish! I kept this on without a base or top coat and it lasted on me for 3 days so far and doesn’t look to be going anywhere soon which is unheard of for me. I just looked over the price expecting it to be around £12 and it’s almost half that price I couldn’t believe it! I’m really impressed, I’ll only be buying this nail polish from now on and can’t wait to buy more colours!

This is a really good varnish. I was initially sceptical about how the angled brush would hep with the ease of application. I think it truly does help and I found the varnish very easy to apply. One coat gave a brilliant even coverage so I haven't yet tried it with two coats. The nail varnish lasted longer than I expected. I did lots of chores around the house, lots of washing up etc and no chips. It seemed to fade at the edges rather than chip which I found meant that it looked OK from a distance for a lot longer than varnishes that chip in chunks. It has a nail varnish smell but didn't smell too bad, I would be interested in finding out how many 'nasties' it contains, that would be good to add to the description. This dries amazingly quickly, I swear my thumb was dry to the touch by the time I'd finished painting my pinky finger. All nails were totally dry so I could get on with my day within minutes. The colour I have is called In A Flash Sale, from my computer screen it looked an orangy pink, its not, it's just orange. It worked out quite well because I painted both my daughters nails and my own for Halloween and my young daughter thought it was great that she had 'pumpkin nails'.I will definitely buy this range of quick drying nail varnish again however, I wouldn't choose to buy orange nail varnish again!

Being qualified as a nail technician I was happy to give this vegan formula, quick drying nail polish a try when I saw it, as it is not a range from Essie that I have previously used. The Expressie range by Essie, is a super quick drying nail polish that offers a one step colour and shine. The brush is unique in that it is Essie’s first ever angled brush that offers easy application with either hand.Usage is simple, you literally hold the brush in your right hand, angle it down and apply one coat of colour, then flip the brush over and place in your left hand and apply one coat as before. Then repeat this again for a second coat and in roughly a minute you are ready to go.There is no need for a top coat or base coat making this an extremely simple, fast and easy range to use.The colour is rich and offers good quality, high coverage leaving a glossy high shine finish on the nails that is both professional and long lasting as well as being chip resistant. Plus the angled brush is easy to use, spreads nicely and consistently making it quicker and more efficient than other varnishes that I have used.I would definitely recommend this range to anyone looking for a vegan varnish and/or a quick drying one step varnish as it is extremely good and in my opinion is premium professional quality.

I don't wear nail varnish that often, just for special occasions or when I want to treat myself. To be fair, I often don't have the nails to varnish as they split if they get too long. But with lockdown, my nails have grown more successfully in general and so I thought I would try this nail varnish.I was sent 'Binge Worthy', which is a grey with a hint of beige/brown to it. I was attracted to this polish as it requires no base or top coat and is quick drying as well as being vegan-friendly. I've not got the patience to be bothering with multiple coats and waiting for each to dry.The angled brush made application relatively easy, and obviously I'm not a pro when it comes to varnishing my nails. The varnish dried quickly to a glossy, high shine. I applied only one coat as I did not want a strong shade, but you can apply a second coat if you do. With me, whenever I varnish or have my nails varnished, it only lasts a few days before chipping and so was the case this time - so this is not a plus or minus for this product, rather a reflection on me.It's not the cheapest product but considering its convenience -- one coat that dries in minutes, and interesting selection of colours -- then I am happy to recommend.

My wife thought she would try this Amazon Brand quick-dry nail polish, to see how it compared to ordinary nail varnish. This particular one was a rich pink colour, with a hint of shimmer. There are 20 different shades to choose from in this range. It was easy to apply using the ‘bespoke’ angled brush, as it allows you to change direction depending on whether you are applying polish to the right or left hand. See video above on product page. She applied two coats for a deeper colour, as it looked a little too pale after just one.In just over a couple of minutes, the nails were looking good and really were dry and ready to go (a bonus for me!).There was no smudging, which can happen with normal polishes when you think they are dry but they are not.Unfortunately, the finished look did not last very long, within 24 hours the polish had started to chip off and look untidy. She tried again with the same result. She then repainted her nails using a top coat to see if this prolonged the manicure, unfortunately, it did not.In conclusion, it is an excellent choice for a quick fix, when you are in a hurry, but not for a long-lasting manicure. It is labelled vegan formula.

What a beautiful nude shade of polish this is. The angled brush makes application easier than I have experienced before. By the time I had painted my pinky fingernail the thumbnail was already dry! I have never known a polish dry so quickly. Doing two coats was necessary to achieve the colour I wanted. The time it took to paint on two coats and for them to dry is quicker than what it takes to do just one coat of any of my other nail polishes. I was very impressed. What I have noticed however is that in the first 24 hours after putting the polish on there are a couple of little nicks in a few of my nails. I wouldn't call them chips like with other polishes where they start to break away on the edges. They are little nicks out of the middle of the nail which seems odd to me. Thankfully because this is a nice neutral shade the nicks aren't very noticeable and I don't feel the need to remove the polish and paint them again. I don't know if whatever makes the polish speed dry also makes it more fragile than normal polish but at least with a light colour I am happy to deal with that fragility for the sake of the convenience of a fast-drying, easy to apply polish.

I ordered this nail polish for my partner, it comes in a large, varied range of colours - she chose this stunning deep bronze colour ('Red Burgundy 270 Misfit Right In') with subtle gold flecks - perfect colour for autumn. It really does have a nice shimmer and sheen to it.The main selling point is that it's listed as quick dry and does exactly that - it dried impressively quickly. She felt though that one coat was not enough, and left her nails looking a bit streaky, but two gave a lovely colour and a third coat a deeper more dramatic colour.I've marked longevity as 5*'s as it lasts well over the week, a clear top coat could be used to make it really last and protect from any inevitable chips. The main downside is that she found it a bit stubborn to remove , plus essie is owned by L'Oréal who are animal testers - I find the "Vegan" title would suggest Cruelty Free (BUAV), but sadly this isn't the case, as it only applies to this specific product, and not those that own it.Overall, very nice product. A good price, and would recommend it to others - she's definitely interested to look at some of the other colours in the range.

Quick drying is always top of my list, otherwise I might as well not bother as I can never keep them nice! The bottle is pretty dinky and neat. I didn’t find the brush particularly angled as described, but it does have a good curve to it, making it easy to use without catching cuticles. The polish goes on smoothly and had a good flowy consistency.I was pleasantly surprised that it did genuinely dry quickly - it was touch dry within about two minutes. As with most polish it wasn’t completely “set” until maybe 30 minutes later, so you’ll still need to be careful for the while after application. But with only two thin coats I felt the drying time was pretty good.It felt comparable to Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in that respect. The colour is a solid rather than shimmer and on the pinky side of nude - it’s a good colour in terms of goes with anything. The finish is super shiny! The only downside was that I didn’t find the polish lasted very long. Within 24 hours I had chips in it and when washing up I felt that big sections softened and lifted. But the benefits of quick drying will still make me use this when I’m short on time!

This is the first time I've tried this brand of nail polish,I'm a fan of nude shades and I like this colour.I found that it goes on smoothly and dries quickly. 2 coats with 10 minutes between them gave a nice finish - good coverage and a nice gloss.I usually put on nail polish at night so that it gets plenty of time to dry properly before having to stand up to the wear and tear of daily life, but I applied this about 2 hours ago and have been typing for about the last half hour and its holding up well so far, no smudges or chips. Its a bit more expensive than the usual brand I buy from the chemist, but the colour range is nice and includes a few unusual shades that I would like to try.It does seem to perform as described. As I have been known to spend half an hour painting my nails only to clean it all off an hour later because it's smudged, a true quick dry nail polish is a winner with me.Update: Yesterday I did cooking, gardening and washed my hair and my nails held up well. A couple of small chips, but to be honest I would have expected more. So day 3 and all thats needed is a slight touch up.

This nail polish is really good quality, it's far and away the best I've ever used. I love the colour of breaking the bold, it's a lovely brown colour with a touch of maroon. I usually play it safe and use pale pink on my fingers but I thought I'd push the envelope and try something different; I knew I'd use it on my toes if I didn't like it on my fingernails. I love it, it's a very rich depth of colour with 2 coats and it dries really quickly. The brush is amazing, I've never used one like it before, it practically does the whole nail in one go, it actually does on my little fingernail, so you don't have to keep going over and over it making it streaky.I wouldn't think that you could get away with one coat with such a dark colour but 2 coats looks amazing, there are no streaks on my nails and I'm not the best at applying it. It goes on smoothly and evenly and dries really quickly, so you could actually apply this just before you were going out, we've all done that and ended up in a mess but you wouldn't with this one, just amazing, I actually can't believe it and I'm seeing it with my own eyes!
