This umbrella us incredibly light and you can definitely feel the quality of the build. I was unfortunate enough to encounter some fairly strong gusts this week (1 month of owning the umbrella, 9th or 10th use) and while it folded out a few times it always snapped back correctly, however the pole did bend a bit just above the handle. I've got to be honest though I live in a coastal town and gusts are always vicious here, this umbrella has fared better than my last 3 all of which were torn and snapped after just one or two uses. I've bent the pole back in to shape and it's like new. Time will tell if it stands up to more *abuse*.

This umbrella is amazing. I kept the label saying it was wind proof as it is so light and does not have the normal opening flaps at the top and I wanted to have proof when it blew inside out and needed a refund. I eventually got a windy day to test it and due to its lightness it got blown behind me but did not collapse at all. I have now ordered one as a present for my daughterUpdateThis eventually broke on a windy day and so did the replacement. I had bought one also for my husband and this also broke on a windy day so they obviously are not windproof. They are very light though so may buy another for that reason

This is a fantastic umbrella. Made of fiberglass. It is light weight and superbly built. Made in Austria. I highly recommend it. I just wish it were easier to get here in the USA instead of having to be shipped from the UK.

Fits perfectly in pocket. Very light. Coped with some strongest winds fine so far
