Over years have tried and used most strings, and the D'addarios come out top every time. Outstanding balance across the set, smooth frequency transition through the mids to highs, clealy focussed bottom end - plenty of bass but with clear pitch. I really like the absebse of fabric wraps over the ends - they go on tidy and stay that way (a bit OCD!).And theyb last better than any others I ever tried.Brightness trick on aging strings - drop the string about a tone or so, volume off, pull string forward and snap it back onto frets - a sharp crack. Hear the difference to top end afterwards, gets brightness back, and won't damage frets at all (unless they are made of cheese).

I’ve tried a few sets of strings and these sound easily the best. The bass sounds really punchy and clear with these on it.
