It's the first time I've used flat tops and the reduction in finger squeak is considerable. The tone is more mellow than round wired strings but still warm, and loud enough for gigging. As for how long they will last before having to change them, I'm not a heavy user so I'm confident they will be ok in this respect. Overall I'm pleased with them.

Love using these strings! Like lots of other players have tried lots of different brands, lines and gauges. Even used mixed sets.However, these are the best so far. Reduced finger noise, nice warm tone, ample sustain all help me play for longer.Only gripe is D'Addario strangely do not offer these in 11s.

Never used flat top guitar strings before, they are absolutely great to use, very quiet with very little finger noise when fretting. Excellent sound quality. Also no annoying buzzes when using a slide. I love them and will definitely use the same when they need replacing

These strings make fingerpicking sound better without causing as much soreness after long practice. Slides are much easier and sound good. Not a cheap option, though!
