Great, reliable and value for money. If you are here you will be hitting the switching throughput, noise levels, port speeds or port density of your existing switches. This is a good product for small business, students and homes. Gigabit has become quite standard and with 150Mbps fibre broadband, PowerLine technology and 802.11ac WiFi you will find 100 Mbps ports become the bottleneck in your network. You can be certain of having lots of ports to play with on this switch with the added benefits of what a managed switch can offer and without the complexity of needing to know how to programme the switch in code. This is a fanless switch and so is excellent for home and office use.It is also great on keeping the bills down by being clever on which ports it keeps active and generally being not energy inefficient. Security and management features are supported as well as performance features such as Jumbo frames and link aggregation (which will be handy for anyone looking at improving performance and connectivity to their personal cloud storage and NAS systems). Port mirroring (SPAN), VLAN support, Spanning Tree, 802.1X, DHCP snooping and SNMP are all features you get here that you will not find in your ISP's switch/router. For the technically savvy that want a quiet, convenient, cost effective switch you really cant go wrong with this.

This switch has been around during for a while, so although the latest firmware is from start of 2015, it is very stable. I use it in my home study as a main switch for all home devices and work related tests. I push some multicast iptv traffic through it. It seems to be compatible with igmpv2 and v3 and appears to be sending igmpv2 queries, which is normally seen on l3 switches. The ease of configuration is amazing, just tickboxes etc, but the lack of cli can be annoying sometimes if you like to tinkerI've not yet had a chance to test lacp bonding but I don't see why that wouldn't work. A solid switch and it's fanless, so it's also completely silent.

I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to expand their LAN wrt number of ports available. This switch could be easily used as part of an advanced home network or a small business network. It works out of the box so there is essentially no initial set-up required and it offers advanced features for improved performance and security that can be used if and when needed. I found the web interface easy to use and intuitive. My only complaint is that it does not support jumbo frames (though its smaller sibling in the same product series by D-Link does) which is a feature I would find potentially useful.

I upgraded 13 PC + NAS box site from a normal 100Mbps switch to this D-Link 16 Port 1000Mbps, the result was just what the customer appreciated, now 10x extra network speed for the large MDB files that our software used = happy customer. It just worked, no extra setting up or messing around, fitted into the standard Network Cabinet, easy upgrade with little disruption. Looks well made, and claims to be low power, not a lot of heat coming from the Switch too. This does make your network a lot snappier and more productive, worthwhile overhaul improvement.

'little bit more pricey than I'd like. But I needed trunking.I'm relieved that it has a web interface. There is also a Windows based app available for managing multiple devices.GUI is clear and intuitive. I am still unsure which changes require the Save button at the top left to be used, so I tap it all the time.

For home/small office use it is a good contender for the price. Delivery was good too.Pros: it is good for expansion and is manageable and works straight out of the box.Cons: not for the light hearted you do need to know how to configure it. As this is the case I would prefer to have got myself a Cisco switch.

Bought this as the main switch for the house lan. It's a decent little box, seems to have good power consumption and can do the various VLAN and trunking things I needed. The web based UI is fairly self explanatory if at times a little clunky and covers the simple and complex feature sets.

The device was selected to go into an extension in a school, largely because the sfp ports could be used for the fibre link to the main building. It works fine, although delivery by City Link left a lot to be desired (they chuched it over a wall).

Straightforward to install. Works very well. Neat package.Only problem I had was some of my devices have non-standard POE (two Panasonic cameras still needed their own old POE).

Pretty good performance straight from the box. Disabling some of the security and power management features releases more CPU power for actual packet switching.

This is a good reliable switch with PoE. Amazon was by far the cheapest place we could find it.At least with D-Link you know exactly what quality to expect.

2.5.2018

This D Link switch is easy to config, connects perfectly to my Cisco switches and is working very well. Also its power consumption is low.

works a treat straight from the box. it's improved the speed of the network too even though our old cables are cat5.

Excellent performance, well featured web interface.

Great product, exactly what I was looking for!
