I like scotch whisky. You have a glass you drink it, take in the flavour, the smell, the colour as well. You either like it or you don't. I like Macallan but not the price. I prefer the Speyside malts but that is my personal taste. Everybody is different. Copper Dog is a lovely blend of single malts and at the price of £22 is great value. It is much smoother and richer than all of the supermarket branded Speyside single malts I have tried.I also buy a bottle of Laphroaig (Leapfrog) every now and again for a wildly different taste of scotch whisky. That is like a good hard slap across the face.

Not often a fan of blended malts and this is a mix of eight lively Speyside youngsters. However, the sherry cask comes through and it has a pleasant after-burn.I thought the brand name was taken from the bar at The Craigellachie Hotel, which is referenced on the bottle. However, the naming convention seems to be aligned to an illicit device that distillery workers used to take whisky from its cask and then smuggle it out past the watchmen and the enjoy the fruits of their labours at home. Who knows the truth of the matter - and after a glass or two, who cares.

A really easy, smooth drinking Speyside with classic sweetness - it's comparable to a budget Aberlour 12 or Tomatin 12 (subtle sherry flavours and big sweetness). At £22 it's a no brainer, at £27 if you like Speyside it's still an okay deal. Copper Dog really push this as a mixing whisky in their promo material but it's a great whisky to have straight. There's news that the company has been acquired and the recipe may change (early 2019) which should be kept in mind for future buying, but perhaps the flavour will remain the same.

Got this for less than £20 and it's better than many twice the price. Some people may be familiar with cgars Ltds cigar malt whisky. This has a very similar flavour profile, but somehow more refreshing. Although it says no less than 8 single malts are married together in an old oak cask to make this, I can pick out the rich creamy sweetness one gets from heavily sherried whisky, similar to Aberlour 12 or redbreast 12. And the fact is, it's incomparable to whisky of the same price because of its beautiful complexity.

Received this item today. It is a gift for my husband for our 7th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow (Copper.)I was very disappointed that the bottle did not come in the box, and with the dipper flask, as shown in the photographs (advertised). I find the advertisement very misleading, and will not be purchasing alcohol via Amazon again.

With lovely nutty and fruity sherry notes, this blended malt is very easy drinking and is great for relaxing with afterwork or during the weekend. It is very smooth; I find it similar to Glenrothes but without as much complexity and thinner texture. Nevertheless, for £28, it punches above its weight and is great value for money.

Pleasantly surprised - bought this when it was on offer as I like trying new whisky. It's of a similar quality to Glen Grant 10 year old or Strathisla 12 year old. Quite smooth and easy to drink, with a reasonable amount of depth to it. Would buy again.

For the price this is the best malt you can buy. Yes I know it’s blended BUT it’s not like other blends. I put a touch of water in it and you can’t tell the difference between this and more (a lot more) expensive whiskies. Try it, you’ll like it!!!!

I bought this for my uncle as a gift for Christmas from the photographs it showed it’ included a copper dog flask ! I think it was misleading To show it was a gift set and then only the whiskey arrives poor show

It is a very true description of "an easy-drinking scotch". This whisky has to be by far my favourite whisky I have tasted to date and it is very reasonable also. This whisky is very much so value for money.

Bought as a gift for my single malt loving partner, he loved it! Thanks millions for giving him a delicious alternative to some of the malts out there! You are my partners ‘new man’s best friend’ ?

This Scotch is great. A very nice blend of whiskeys creating a light fruity, and slightly smokey product. A great scotch for mixing classic cocktails. Very approachable price point.

Bought this because it's the Chinese year of the dog and it's our 7th wedding anniversary. Traditional gift is brass or copper!! Hope it tastes as good as described in advert!
