To be honest, I rarely drink - but this is a cherished bottle opener!Solid metal, this has a much better build quality than many other (and sometimes more expensive) model Enterprises. Obviously it lacks any real level of detail apart from the embossed "USS Enterprise NCC-1701", but the shaped nacelles look great and feel solid in the hand. For Star Trek or Science Fiction fans this is a great gift which will last forever, the presentation box makes this a perfect present and solid metal miniatures often cost a bomb, so although this might seem a little expensive for a bottle opener - it's actually a great value, high quality product. In a nutshell: A very sturdy bottle opener which feels sturdy, this isn't going to break as you crack open a bottle of your favourite (illegal) Romulan Ale!

I bought this as a present for a friend who's a huge Star Trek fan. When my friend opened his present I liked it so much I decided to buy one for myself. I have several novelty bottle openers and have to say this is the best out of the lot. It's bigger than the impression you get from the pictures, about 12cm long, solid, robust with a high quality finish in stainless steel. It fits well in the hand and is comfortable to hold and works brilliantly, some of my bottle openers are more of a case of 'style over substance', something you can't say about this one. For something that's so reasonably priced (I paid approx £10)that brings a smile to friends and family alike I'm very pleased to havebought it.

When I asked my dad what he wanted for his birthday, I wasn't expecting him to ask for a Star Trek bottle opener! This was delivered very quickly though, and my dad enjoys showing it off whenever anyone comes over. Anyone. It took a little getting used to at first, to angle your bottle right so nothing spills, but we've all adjusted, and it gets used regularly. It hasn't broken or been marked in action. This is a quirky, fun and functional bottle opener, for all Trekkies out there.

Boldly opening the bottles that can only be found where no one has gone before, this is a smart and stylish bottle opener which has a surprising amount of heft to it when held, giving it a good solid feel. It comes in a nice enough outer box, with an interior moulded lining to keep the opener in place when being stored so that it can given as a gift or kept for yourself. It’ll pick up fingerprints and smudges fast though, so it’ll need cleaned up often, hence four stars.

A hefty piece of merchandise that feels good in the hand, opens bottles somewhat easily (which a little careful manoeuvring) and looks good sitting on a shelf. I give it four stars instead of five due to it relying on two pointed teeth to lever up the bottle cap instead of the flat plane employed in most bottle opener designs. If not positioned just so under the crenellations of the bottle cap, the two teeth tend to slip.

I cant understand why Amazon think the bottle opener is a toy hence some 3 stars in my marking. Well made bit of kit.Nice and solid but i dont think the markings will stay on long after much repeated use. Also its quite sharp on the flat edges and could do with a small chamfer just to break the edge. Nice though and alot cheaper than elsewhere.

This does actually struggle to open bottles, but gets there after a couple or so of attempts. However, I love it anyway and it's a great conversational piece :) It's a great Star Trek memorabilia item and is actually really sturdily built, which is why it doesn't work well because it's a bit too chunky! If you like Star Trek, go for it!!

I was a bit dubious when I saw the price as I thought it was a bit pricey for a bottle opener, but when it arrived I was really pleased. The item is very weighty and I can see why it is the price listed. Great novelty gift, my partner loved it.

Quality item, works well, nice design and feel to it. I'd have given it five but its little on the heavy side,I suppose that could indicate a good sturdy construction but it just put me off a full five stars an excellant gift for a trek fan.

How I got to 49 years old without this I don't know. Other bottle openers are a mere shadow of this one - even the Heineken one I got from the brewery in Amsterdam. I look forward to the onset of alcoholism in it's shiny company >-)

The bottle opener arrived promptly and I and more importantly the recipiant were delighted with the quality and solid weigh of the opener. It will boldly go where no other bottle opener has gone before! (Bit of an exaggeration)

Looks and feels great in the hand. Brought a real smile when opened at Christmas. However, it does take a couple of goes to open a bottle! I think the teeth just need to be a bit sharper.

For the Star Trek fan this is amazing, very lifelike to the original Enterprise. It's quite light weight and the box it came in was nicely presented with characters from the series.

For the price, I wasn’t expecting too much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Beautifully made and extremely solid. Arrives in a nice gift box.Perfect gift for a Trekkie fan.
